Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 528: Chapter 528: Shouldn’t You Toast Me, Too?

The charity gala was like the high society in fairy tales, with soothing light music lingering in the air, performed live by renowned musicians.

In the resplendent banquet hall, the lights shone like crystal, and the guests filled the room with elegance and sophistication.

The donation segment had already ended. Mia Lane accompanied Justin Kingston to toast with the guests and express gratitude, while Kristina Kingston stayed by the children’s side, transforming into an ordinary grandmother.

”Gigi, Dolly, what would you like to eat? Grandma will get it for you.”

”Cheese!”

”Grandma, I want cheese too!”

”Alright, alright, Grandma will get it for you now.” Kristina Kingston patted the children’s shoulders, ”Don’t run around.”

Many media outlets took special shots of her. This Mrs. Kingston gave off a good impression, not as intimidating as rumored.

Ever since Kristina Kingston genuinely accepted Mia Lane, she exuded a calm elder’s demeanor, embodying the glow of motherhood.

She was very good to the children, a patient and loving grandmother.

The media held her in high regard.

Netizens also asked, does this grandma need more grandchildren?

Mia Lane held onto Justin Kingston’s arm, thanking the philanthropists who came today. No matter how much they donated, it was a rare act of kindness.

”Thank you, President Lee, thank you.”

”Thank you.”

”Thank you, CEO Kingston, for leading the development of the charity work so well.”

”Companies involved in charity won’t do poorly. Heaven sees it all and only allows for prosperity.”

”Yes, our company faced a minor crisis two years ago and overcame it instantly, which surprised even me. So I should continue to follow CEO Kingston in doing good deeds.”

They toasted, exchanging simple conversations with the heads of various companies.

The couple paused before the signature wall. Mia Lane’s gaze gently swept over the names on it.

Two familiar names caught her eye, and she stopped, lightly pulling Justin Kingston to a halt, ”Look, Ian Shelby and Anton Ford also donated.”

”Yes.” Justin Kingston had noticed the donations this afternoon, ”They each donated five million.”

Anton Miller is that wealthy?

Mia Lane was a bit surprised. It’s normal for him to donate, but donating through the Kingston Group’s charity gala showed he truly let go of past grievances.

That’s wonderful.

Mia Lane’s face was adorned with a happy smile.

At that moment, Anton Miller approached, holding a wine glass, standing in front of the couple.

Tonight, he wore a white suit with clean features and a charmingly mischievous smile, ”CEO Kingston, Mrs. Kingston, although my donation wasn’t much, I did contribute, so shouldn’t you toast with me too?”

Justin Kingston’s lips curled slightly, looking at him warmly.

Mia Lane’s eyes held a smile, ”Thank you for your support, Anton.”

Then Justin Kingston raised his glass to him, ”I thank you on behalf of the children in the mountain areas for your kindness.”

”I thank you on their behalf too.” Anton Miller clinked glasses with both of them, then drank the wine in one gulp.

Justin Kingston also drank it all in one go.

”Is Ian Shelby here?” Mia Lane looked around, ”I haven’t seen him tonight.”

”He’s busy with his research,” Anton Miller said, ”Lately, I haven’t seen him either, he’s been shutting himself in the lab every day, rarely showing up.”

Saying this, he placed his empty glass on the passing waiter’s tray and picked up two more glasses, handing one to Justin Kingston, ”I’ll drink this one for Ian.”

Justin Kingston accepted, and they clinked glasses, both finishing the wine in one gulp.

There, they chatted happily.

Not far away, Hailey Hale had already eaten two different flavors of tiramisu, and tasted some pasta, which was exceptionally good, the best she’d had.

She also sampled some delicious apple pie and cheese rolls.

Among these kind-hearted donors, she resembled a dessert taster, ignoring the outside world and focusing solely on food.

Barbara Sutton saw so many pastries for the first time, intricate and beautiful like works of art, she felt reluctant to take any, let alone eat them.

”Wow, Gelato.” Hailey Hale eyed a type of ice cream, unapologetically taking a small cup, savoring a bite, ”It’s wonderful.”

Barbara Sutton turned her head at the sound, having noticed her since they entered the banquet hall. She didn’t appear reserved at all, confidently carrying herself even without wearing a glamorous gown.
