Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 502: Chapter 502: A Girl’s Shoes

Finn Morgan glanced at her, ”Okay.” Then he bent over to sit in the driver’s seat.

Barbara Sutton also sat in the passenger seat. She fastened her seatbelt, feeling excited, and said with a smile, ”If you have a girlfriend, it’s not really appropriate for me to sit in the passenger seat.”

Finn Morgan didn’t respond; he started the car.

After a while, Barbara Sutton summoned the courage to glance at him and continued, ”If you don’t have a girlfriend, sitting in the back seat would seem rude.”

She was actually probing, trying to figure out his relationship status.

”Actually, it’s not that complicated,” Finn Morgan looked straight ahead, ”Interactions between people should be simple and comfortable. If a seat is open, just take it.”

Barbara Sutton smiled; his words made her feel at ease.

Silence filled the cabin.

With the window down, she embraced the wind, turned to admire the scenery outside, and didn’t feel too awkward.

At this moment, she was so close to him... She couldn’t control her heartbeat.

His car was so clean, spotless, with a faint fresh scent.

Barbara Sutton’s impression of him improved; she found him to be quite meticulous and particular.

As they neared their destination, Finn Morgan seemed to suddenly remember something, turned to her, and said, ”By the way, the development proposal for Juzhou is still at my place. Could you bring it to CEO Kingston tomorrow morning? I have some errands to run and won’t be going to the office early.”

”Oh, okay.” Barbara Sutton nodded absentmindedly, but how would she take it? It’s at his place.

She had doubts but didn’t ask.

As the car drove into Celestial Heights, heading towards the underground garage.

”Get out,” Finn Morgan unbuckled the seatbelt, his voice gentle.

Barbara Sutton snapped back to reality, was he taking her home to get it?

She hurriedly got out of the car, her mind was a daze, was this a surprise discovery?

As Finn Morgan closed the car door, he asked, ”Are you coming up with me, or should I bring it down?”

”I’ll come up.” The girl smiled, ”Otherwise, you’d have to go down and then come back up. Waiting for the elevator on high floors is quite a hassle.”

”Hmm.”

Finn Morgan took her to the elevator and pressed the number 28; Barbara Sutton deliberately noted the floor.

The relatively small space was silent enough to hear a pin drop.

Barbara Sutton’s heart raced; she didn’t dare to look at him.

Upon reaching the floor, Finn Morgan led her out of the elevator, entered the fingerprint code at the front door, and as the door opened, a pair of girls’ shoes came into view, in two colors, one red and one yellow, quite trendy.

Finn Morgan paused slightly; she hadn’t left?

Barbara Sutton’s heart sank as she stared in disbelief.

”Come in.” This was Finn Morgan’s polite gesture; his voice remained gentle.

Passing by the girls’ shoes, Barbara Sutton walked into Finn Morgan’s home, she felt not the least bit happy, her heart weighed heavily.

”Sit for a bit, I’ll go get the documents.” After speaking, Finn Morgan walked into the study.

Barbara Sutton turned her gaze again, glanced at the shoes by the door, and suddenly had a flashback of a scene in the cake shop—

When she bent down to pick up Finn Morgan’s card, it was precisely these shoes she saw; she almost stepped on the card.

Is it that girl?

Recalling the silhouette of the girl who got into his car in the pouring rain, could it be the same person?

Barbara Sutton felt a major blow, a sense of defeat arose from her heart, she felt an icy coldness inside.

The surroundings were imbued with a rich sense of light luxury, showcasing the homeowner’s taste; she observed with heavy heart.

The overall design was simple and elegant, with distinct layers, primarily orange with blue accents, the strong contrast between warm and cool elevating the space level.

So exquisite, yet so tasteful.

Under the warm lighting, the ordinary girl Barbara Sutton felt somewhat out of place, filled with an inexplicable unease.

How could she measure up to a man of such style?
