Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 509: Chapter 509: The Purpose of Coming

Mia Lane and Justin Kingston got out of the car and walked over.

”Have you eaten?” Anton Miller stood up as they entered the living room, thinking that if they hadn’t eaten, he could have the kitchen prepare something.

”Not yet,” Justin Kingston replied, ”We’ll eat later at Clearwater Bay.”

”Playing chess?” Mia walked over to them and sat on the sofa, ”Anton Ford, I’m here to report that we finished recording the last episode today, and I’m here to check on you. How’s your recovery going?”

”You’re quite efficient!” Anton Miller grinned broadly, intentionally making exaggerated movements, ”Look, fully recovered.”

”What are your plans next?” Mia asked, ”Will you continue acting in shows?”

”I don’t really care,” he said, playful by nature and without any particular goal in the entertainment industry, ”I’ll go with the flow, see if there’s a good script, and also check my own state.”

Mia nodded thoughtfully, then Anton Miller asked, ”What about you? Done recording, what’s your plan? Joining Kingston Group as Vice President?”

”Just like you, I haven’t decided yet either,” Her eyelashes were as long and beautiful as black feathers.

Justin Kingston looked composed and didn’t say anything.

”You really should think about it, distance creates beauty.” Anton Miller shared his experience, ”As someone who’s been there, I can responsibly tell you that being together for too long can get dull.”

”Feeling dull means not loving enough.” Justin Kingston then changed the topic and earnestly said to him, ”Join Kingston Group’s film company, the scripts will be good for sure.”

Anton Miller looked at him, ”Am I leaning on my connections too openly?” Actually, he hadn’t decided yet, used to being alone and relying on his own abilities, ”I’ll think about it.”

Justin Kingston didn’t push, knowing he would consider.

They didn’t stay long at Ian Shelby’s place; on the way over, Justin Kingston had called Clearwater Bay, saying they would return for dinner.

By now, the kitchen was bustling.

Kristina Kingston was in great spirits, personally selecting the menu, ”Mr. Kingston’s stomach has fully recovered, so we can increase the portions.”

”Yes, Madam.”

Mary also returned, adding another person; she specially asked the chef to make a few dishes Mary liked before.

When the Lamborghini parked steadily in the courtyard, Kristina Kingston and the butler went out to greet them.

”Mom.”

”Good evening, Madam.”

”Hello, Mr. Kingston, hello, Madam.”

After getting out of the car, everyone greeted each other and then walked into the living room together.

The dining table quickly filled with a feast, and soon someone came to call them to eat, and everyone got up and headed to the dining room.

From far away, the smell of homemade dishes was already noticeable.

”They are the dishes you liked before; I hope they suit your appetite tonight.” Kristina Kingston sat in the dining chair, her expression kind, ”Don’t be too reserved; it’s rare for you to come back.”

These words made Justin Kingston and Mia Lane feel a bit guilty, seeming like they needed to come back more often.

Justin Kingston looked warm, ”As long as it fills the belly, dining with family is about the atmosphere.”

”Smells great, especially good.” Mia Lane spoke simply and directly, ”Thanks, Mom.”

”Come on, let’s not say fancy words, eat up.” Kristina Kingston’s smile was sincere.

Mary sat beside her, looking obedient and sensible.

Then everyone picked up their chopsticks and started today’s dinner.

Clearwater Bay used to be quiet, without guests visiting, and Madam usually spoke little, with the servants being very cautious, so not talking during meals was common.

Tonight, however, Justin Kingston spoke at the table, saying to his mother, ”Mom, Kingston Group’s charity gala every five years, I plan to donate ten billion to build schools for the kids in the mountainous regions.”

”That’s a good deed.” Kristina Kingston’s eyes lit up, very approving, ”It’s best to also fix the roads, making it easier to transport fresh vegetables and fruits.”

”Hmm.” He was considering that too, ”This route is still being discussed with the villagers, aiming to give them the greatest possible compensation.”

Justin Kingston spoke of the main point after a while, ”The gala invites you to participate, would you be willing to attend?”

”...” Kristina Kingston was slightly taken aback, was this the purpose of their coming tonight?
