Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 519: Chapter 519: Sorry, We Admit Our Mistake

The female employee’s face changed, but Hailey Hale stepped away.

”What do we do now?”

”With CEO Kingston’s way of handling things, we’re definitely going to be fired.”

”How did it reach his ears?”

”I was just venting to you!”

”...”

The two employees began to tremble, but they had no choice but to go.

Upstairs, in the sleek and luxurious CEO’s office, Justin Kingston sat at his desk, his eyebrows slightly furrowed. The project in his hands seemed no easy task. He was meticulously reviewing it, occasionally making notes with a pen.

The two female employees exited the elevator and walked nervously towards the office. As they drew closer, cold sweat broke out on their backs, as if they were approaching the execution ground.

In the Vice President’s office, Hailey Hale sat in her seat, tossing the candy wrapper she’d torn off into the trash can and placing the lollipop into her mouth, leisurely gazing towards the door.

Five, four, three, two, one...

She counted in her mind, watching as the two female employees passed by the door and headed towards the CEO’s office.

She curled her lips coldly, her gaze retracting as she opened her computer, immersing herself back in work.

At the entrance to the CEO’s office, they were so nervous they didn’t even knock, walking straight in, their hearts almost leaping into their throats.

Upon hearing the footsteps, both Finn Morgan and Justin Kingston looked up.

The two female employees entered uninvited, finally standing before Justin Kingston’s desk.

”I’m sorry, CEO Kingston, I didn’t mean to say bad things about President Lane,” her voice trembled. ”I was wrong, I know I was wrong, please don’t fire me.”

”CEO Kingston, I know I was wrong too, I’m sorry... I’ll never say it again.” The other was almost dumbfounded with fear. ”I’ll write a guarantee, I can write a review, please don’t fire me!”

”CEO Kingston, you can dock my performance! We really know we’re wrong, we shouldn’t gossip about others, especially not about President Lane.”

Justin Kingston’s eyes showed slight surprise. He exchanged a glance with Finn Morgan. They both caught the key point — these two had been gossiping about Mia at the company. But who sent them over to apologize?

Watching them shiver and shake, with tears and snot, Justin Kingston wasn’t moved to sympathy.

He frowned slightly, lips pressed thin.

The CEO didn’t make a statement, and the two women stood there with weak legs, fearfully looking at him.

After a while, Justin Kingston typed on the keyboard, his cold eyes glued to the computer screen, a trace of coldness tugging at his lips.

At this moment, Finn Morgan stood up and walked over to them, ”Come out with me.”

The two women turned their eyes at the sound, only to see Special Assistant Morgan already heading towards the door.

They anxiously glanced at the CEO, then hurried to follow him out.

In the hallway outside, Finn Morgan stopped and turned to look at them, ”When a woman gossips behind someone’s back, it’s a very degrading behavior, did you realize that?”

”I’m sorry, Special Assistant Morgan, we were wrong...” The two women hung their heads low, tears falling in their urgency, ”Please ask CEO Kingston not to fire us, we haven’t made mistakes in our work.”

”Listen.” Finn Morgan’s eyes showed a trace of sharpness, ”Before you get to know a person, don’t let jealousy blind you. I vouch for it with my character, President Lane is not inferior to President Usher.”

The two women nodded like garlic pounding, not sure if they actually got it.

”You can go.” Finn Morgan said, ”Don’t let it happen again. This time I’ll plead for you in front of CEO Kingston.”

”Thank you, Special Assistant Morgan! Thank you, thank you!” They were immensely grateful.

Not far from the Vice President’s office door, Hailey Hale leaned against the doorframe, watching as the two female employees ran off as if they had received a great amnesty!

Finn Morgan was about to step away when he happened to see the girl at the doorway, a lollipop in her mouth.

The next second, Hailey Hale walked towards him.
