Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 297: Chapter 297: Mia Lane Comes to Emerald Cove

After Mrs. Zhou left, Justin Kingston returned to the room and went toward the liquor cabinet, grabbing a bottle of whiskey.

He removed the cap and took a sip directly, standing in front of the bedroom window, gazing into the deep night outside, gradually lost in thought...

Mia Lane’s figure floated in his mind, but he couldn’t recall their moments together no matter how hard he tried.

The next morning.

In the seaside villa, the air in the bedroom was still filled with the smell of alcohol.

The alarm clock rang, Mia Lane got up, took a shower, changed into clean clothes, and blew dry her hair.

She hadn’t forgotten that today she would go to Emerald Cove to see the children, as she had promised Gigi to have breakfast there.

Looking at her slightly haggard self in the mirror, Mia Lane deliberately applied light makeup; she had dark circles under her eyes.

After all, she was also going to see Justin Kingston, who wouldn’t go to the company on Saturday, so she had to pay attention to her appearance.

As Mia Lane opened the bedroom door, Anton Miller was standing outside, leaning stylishly against the door frame, glancing at her, ”Morning.”

Isn’t this guy tired?

Mia Lane observed him; he had taken a shower, so the smell of alcohol was gone from him, and his condition looked good.

”Let me remind you though.” Anton Miller straightened up, half-jokingly and half-seriously said, ”Even though I had a drink last night, I’m not deaf. I heard your one-in-a-million hope very clearly, so don’t fool me!”

”...” Her dark pupils stared at him.

”Let’s go, breakfast is ready!” The man was in a good mood, his lips curved up in a handsome arc, ”Rest assured, I will strive for that one-in-a-million hope!”

”I’m going to Emerald Cove for breakfast today.” Mia Lane told him, ”I promised Gigi I’d visit him today.”

Anton Miller hesitated, ”A visit? You’re so eager? Does this week count too?”

”Why wouldn’t it count?” She asked.

”...” Suddenly, he felt a bit dejected; it was Saturday, and Justin Kingston was at home too.

They were going to meet again.

Mia Lane glanced at him and passed by him, heading downstairs.

Anton Miller snapped out of it and followed her down, ”Should I drive you there?”

”I’m going to see my kids, why would you come?” Mia Lane knew his presence would cause trouble.

”I’ll drop you off, but I won’t go inside.”

”...”

Downstairs, he said to Ms. Tancred, ”Have breakfast at home by yourself; we’re heading out.”

In the yard, he opened the passenger door, Mia Lane glanced at him and got into the car.

”I only have two scenes to shoot today.” Anton Miller said as he got in the car, ”I’ll pick you up when I’m done.”

”No need.” She refused, ”I’ll come back myself.”

He thought about it, returning herself was already good enough, so he decided to give her enough space, ”Alright, I won’t pick you up then. I’ll remind you, though, about your identity; you’re his ex-wife.”

Mia Lane abruptly turned her gaze, and Anton Miller kept his eyes forward, starting the car.

Along the way, Anton Miller’s mood was very conflicted; the last thing he wanted was for Mia Lane to meet Justin Kingston!

But with the wedding approaching, he wasn’t worried about them rekindling old flames.

Emerald Cove.

Mrs. Zhou knew Mia Lane was coming today; she got up early and was busy in the kitchen making a lavish breakfast.

In the children’s room upstairs, the two kids had already gotten up early.

Gigi was dressed and holding a phone, speaking mysteriously to someone, ”Believe me, you should come; children don’t lie.”

”Brother, has Mommy come?” Dolly was sitting on the bed, seriously putting on a little dress, her hair a mess.

Gigi glanced out the window, ”Not yet.”

Dolly asked again, ”Do you think Daddy has gotten up?”

”He should be up!” Gigi said, ”We must make Daddy and Mommy get back together!”

”Yes! We must stop this wedding! I definitely don’t want Monica Usher as a stepmom! I hate her!”

On this point, the siblings agreed, and they would strive for it.
