Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 254: Chapter 254: Still Lying to Him

The children reached out to take it, their eyes curious yet distant.

Have you really lost your memory?

Gigi coughed lightly, sighed, and said, ”I don’t even know what happened between you guys. Grandma said you broke up?”

”Weren’t things fine before? But Mommy said she was going on a trip and never came back, and you disappeared for three months as well.”

”Grandma said you had a car accident and lost your memory.” Dolly also looked at him, ”So how do you remember us?”

Actually, Justin Kingston only remembered two names, Gigi and Dolly.

He only remembered that they were his children, that’s all.

He had also forgotten the bits and pieces of his interactions with the children.

So when these two children appeared in front of him, he felt the same sense of unfamiliarity.

”Daddy?” Gigi saw him zoning out and asked softly, ”What are you thinking about?”

He shook his head and patted their little heads, ”Daddy needs to go to the study to handle some work, you two can play as you like.”

After saying this, he got up and left.

Gigi and Dolly were utterly confused; a sense of distance crept in!

”Brother, let’s help Daddy regain his memory?” Dolly said in a tender voice, ”I feel like he even forgot about us, and that’s not a good thing.”

Actually, Gigi also felt the same way, ”Yes, we need to help him recover his memory, but not by forcefully filling it in. We can’t burden his brain too much; we mustn’t give him a splitting headache.”

”Grandma said Daddy is going to marry Monica Usher?” Dolly widened her eyes in shock, ”Did I hear that wrong? They can’t get married!”

Gigi sighed again, ”The adult world is really strange, like playing house. Marriage is a lifelong thing; can they just marry like that?”

”Brother, we must stop it, I don’t want a stepmother.”

”Dolly dear, don’t cry, let’s think of a way together.”

In the study next door, books are neatly categorized on the shelves, the light warmly yellow.

Justin Kingston sat at the desk, closing his eyes to rest, feeling a bit confused.

When the door knocked, he looked up.

Butler Shelby entered with a tray of tea, the air filled with the subtle aroma of Earl Grey.

”Mr. Kingston, please have some tea.”

”Who is the children’s mother?” Just as Butler Shelby set down the tea and was about to leave, Justin asked.

The butler’s footsteps halted, and he turned his eyes to meet his, ”...”

Justin saw the flicker in his eyes, and a brief silence enveloped the air.

”You may go.” Because he knew, the answer might well be a lie.

Butler Shelby turned and left.

The children’s mother seemed to be taboo; Justin felt like he was living in a giant lie. Everything around him felt unfamiliar, even Finn Morgan felt somewhat strange.

What was the missing memory?

What had transpired between him and the children’s mother?

Clearwater Bay.

Kristina Kingston had just gone upstairs when a Lamborghini pulled into the yard.

”Madam, Mr. Kingston is here.” Mary hurriedly reported upstairs.

A middle-aged woman felt a tightening in her chest, something flashed in her eyes—why was he here?

Soon footsteps approached, and she turned to see her tall and slender son.

In the second-floor living room.

After delivering tea and snacks, Mary left and intentionally left the door slightly ajar.

She held the tray and gently pressed her ear against the door gap.

”Mom, I’m here to ask about the children’s mother.” Justin sat across from her, his tone sincere, ”This matter might only be something you know best, and I need a real answer.”

”There is indeed such a woman.” Kristina Kingston had long foreseen this day, so she calmly began, ”The children are six years old, but there could never be a connection lasting more than seven years between you two. She used certain means on you, conceived during a charity gala seven years ago.”

Justin’s deep gaze remained devoid of joy or sorrow.

His mother continued, ”Recently, she needed money and came to you with the children.”
