Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 474: Chapter 10: The Skull Society’s Scrutiny

On the outskirts of the Eye of the Ocean, one after another, Half-blood Knights appeared, riding on variously shaped Cloud Wing Beasts, launching a frenzied attack on the Pure-bloods.

One-on-one, Half-blood Knights could not defeat Pure-blood Knights. After all, Half-bloods were around level 16, whereas Pure-bloods were generally level 25 or even higher.

However, with the addition of the Cloud Wing Beasts, it became a different story.

These Cloud Wing Beasts, whether massive or heavily clawed, were at least B-level.

These are the top-tier mounts that only the most elite Ocean Knights can subdue. On the battlefield, nearly every Half-blood Knight had one.

The combination of the two meant that their power was not simply 1+1.

The reason there were so many B-level Radiation Beasts to aid them was naturally thanks to a certain Brain-in-a-Vat.

...

At this moment, the great battle at the outskirts of the Eye of the Ocean turned into frames of images appearing before Gao Gong and the Little Woman.

Gao Gong held the head of the ’Little Woman’ in one hand, while in his palm, the ’Non-human Surgical Modification’ was utilizing the power of the Brain-in-a-Vat to cover all the Half-bloods.

Including the Radiation Beasts they were mounted on.

Non-human Surgical Modification (Professional Specialization), species adaptability +10%, transformation success rate +15%, abnormal transformation success rate +30%. Your modifications will enhance the human body’s abnormal functions.

All the Holy Trees shone brightly!

Under the illumination of the Holy Trees’ radiance, these fighting Radiation Beasts, regardless of their type, began to grow gills on their chins, and limbs began to sprout, while the ’Respiratory System’ transformation rate began to rise.

Generally speaking, when this system’s transformation rate exceeds 10%, it adds a new mode of breathing. For instance, land species gain the ability to breathe underwater, while marine species develop an additional lung, thus acquiring the ability to breathe on land.

Now, under the power of the Holy Trees, under the power of the Brain-in-a-Vat, during Gao Gong’s surgery, they started to evolve.

Meanwhile, on the other side, the biological machines left by the Knight Order automatically began to operate.

Due to the Ocean People’s rebellion being too swift and ferocious, the Biomechanical Knights simply did not have time to destroy these biological machines.

At this time, some of these biological machines were thousands of ’Biological Photolithography Machines’, carving upon ’Keramos’. They resembled birds, pecking with a speed that was almost imperceptible to the naked eye.

They were modifying the protein molecules of ’Keramos’ to carve out large-scale biological chips.

Most of the biological machines were within ’Keramos’, modifying its Neural System, Digestive System, Circulatory System.

The purpose was to manufacture biological components, neuro CPUs, and other computer hardware.

In fact, the greatest difficulty in ’biological computer’ technology, especially ’large-scale biological computers’, is actually the creation of a biological system.

In this area, the Knight Order’s level was not very impressive.

However, this was the specialty of Gao Gong and the Brain-in-a-Vat.

At this time, a large amount of ’Life Codes’ was input, and Gao Gong was responsible for deciphering these ’Life Codes’, translating them into code, and inserting them into the system.

The battle between ’Pure-bloods’ and ’Half-bloods’ was, in essence, a system test.

No one knows how long it took before the task panel’s icons lit up one after another with a series of ’ding-dong’ sounds.

[First task, ’Evolution of Ocean Organs’ completed, experience +400,000, random blueprints x5, Mechanical System Fragment x1, Ancient Gene x1]

[Profession Change Task ’Large-Scale Biological Experiment’ completed, experience +100,000, ’Senior Biologist’ profession change successful]

[You gained advanced knowledge [Biological Code]]

[Profession Change Task ’Large Radiation Species Massage’ completed, experience +120,000, ’Radiation Massage Specialist’ profession change successful]

[You gained advanced knowledge [Mutated Gene Cloud]]

At the outskirts of the Eye of the Ocean, as the last Pure-blood Knight fell to the Trilobite, a pure white light suddenly rose from the core of the radiation zone.

”This familiar aura, it’s the Holy Tree!”

The Trilobite gazed fanatically at the white light, within which a giant Deity seemed to be gazing benevolently at itself.

A white light first shone from its body.

Immediately after, white lights lit up on Pandora, Charjin Sea King Beast, and one by one on the Half-blood Knights.

These Mixed-blood Sea People bathed in the ’Holy Light’, each appearing as if baptized, with expressions of devotion as if entering Heaven.

”Is the system operating normally?” Gao Gong asked with crossed arms.

”Everything is normal,” the ’Little Woman’ confirmed.

”I feel absolutely fantastic right now! As if the path of evolution lies right at my feet!”

With a slightly unfamiliar voice, a flash of white light, a stranger, a ’female ocean person’, stepped out.

If the ’Water Monkey Scientist’s’ looks were rated a 1, the appearance of this ’female ocean person’ would be a 100.

Eyes like deep blue amber, crystal clear, with light blue skin that seemed to encapsulate the entire ocean, adorned with various mysterious and sacred religious symbols, which were, in fact, biological codes.

Her hair, somewhere between nerve bundles and regular hair, was woven into delicate braids that reached her waist.

Appearance is the final option in species evolution, and it’s optional.

But according to Gao Gong’s many years of experience, this seemingly optional choice is, in reality, a disguise for a mandatory one.

Otherwise, Mr. G’s books wouldn’t sell so well.

This is the newly formed ’Keramos’, or you could call it the large-scale biological computer version of ’Keramos’.

An Investigation Skill was cast upon it.
