Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 466: Chapter 6: Large-scale Biological Computer

And he was responsible for rekindling all the withered ’Trees of Wisdom’.

Everything was going according to plan.

...

During the infiltration, Gao Gong opened his palm, revealing a small gyroscope formed by the ’Void Realm’, squeezing it tightly, and in the next moment, a world of electronic rain appeared.

After Gao Gong transitioned to becoming a ’War Hacker’, the electronic rain upgraded to an electronic storm.

The rain quickly washed away the ’Hooded Monsters’, revealing their true faces.

A kind of Deep Sea Leech.

Name: Electronic Leech

Radiation Level: C+

Life Value: 1341/1341

Information Energy: 50000

Note: A special radiation species produced by ancient biotechnology under the influence of bioelectricity, possessing the ability to transform between virtual and real states. Once it attaches, it is almost unsolvable.

”So it really is electronic.”

But Gao Gong did not underestimate the opponent. Even though they were riddled with holes by the ’Electronic Storm’, the leeches were not dead, still struggling, twisting, and crawling.

You have to know, the ’Void Realm’ is a Tier 3 Weapon.

If this thing entered the human body and merged with bioelectric currents, as the note said, it would truly be unsolvable.

At least molecular-level surgery would be needed.

It took a full ten minutes to completely dissolve these ’Electronic Leeches’.

”Tsk, S-Class indeed.”

The reason why Gao Gong believed that the ’Keramos’ was an S-Level Beast King was largely because of the judgment of the Brain-in-a-Vat.

The reason is simple; during its contact with this entity, the Brain-in-a-Vat detected a ’biological local area Network’ signal.

Although crude, it was indeed a ’biological Network’.

It’s well known that when Radiation Beasts reach A-level, they can trigger Beast Tides.

This is essentially a method of driving organisms to harness large amounts of energy.

And reaching S-level allows for further advancement, in theological terms, ’I am one with all beings, all beings are one with me’.

From a biological perspective, it’s mastering the technology of ’Genetic Parasitism’.

All radiation beasts that are ’parasitized’ will have their neural networks linked together, forming a biological domain.

And this domain is the ’biological local area Network’.

Gao Gong suspected that the pure-blood tier’s massive capture of mixed-bloods was essentially to create ’Biological Signal Towers’ to perfect the local area network.

Undoubtedly, the Knight Order played a significant role in this process.

In the ’Carbon-Based Fluid’ state, even in the deep sea, Gao Gong moved swiftly.

Soon, Gao Gong found another Mixed-blood Sea People stronghold, a dilapidated base, far less prosperous than the ’Underwater World’, with the Life Force of the ’Tree of Wisdom’ nearly extinguished, its trunk crawling with various Bloodsucking Sea Stars and Radiation Mistletoe.

Gao Gong placed his palm on the trunk, and in the next moment, countless blood vessels began to spread from his palm, sweeping across and draining these bloodsucking, radiation-consuming creatures.

Gao Gong opened his other hand, and countless flesh spores dispersed, soon followed by sounds of devouring in the darkness.

Before long, a meat carpet swept over, covering the old tree roots of the ’Holy Tree’, the carpet not lacking in the carcasses of large Marine Radiation Beasts.

Under the influence of abundant nutrients, countless new shoots quickly sprouted from the bare tree trunk, rapidly growing into branches as thick as arms and thighs, quickly taking shape into a genuine ’Tree of Wisdom’.

[You have revived the ’Genetic Ecological Beast’, experience +10000]

A special ’company logo’ appeared on the trunk.

Blue Water Technology.

Long ago, when Gao Gong was still struggling as a hunter in the Iron Sand Desert, he had discovered this corporate logo during a ’Soul of the Biological Weapons’ mission.

Back then, there was also a ’Cybertron’ logo on it.

However, this time, there was not.

This indicated that this ’Tree of Wisdom’ was not an outsourced project of the Mother City.

Immediately, Gao Gong’s mind formed a vague ’plot’.

During the Civilization Era, Blue Water Technology began developing the ’Ocean People Project’, which was likely an internal project, not outsourced.

The second mechanical war broke out, and for various reasons, Blue Water Technology abandoned the project, failing to transition into the ocean.

Decades later, invading Radiation Beasts occupied Blue Water Technology’s territory, or perhaps the internal ’Biological Materials’ evolved autonomously, leading to the birth of the deity ’Keramos’.

Subsequently, ’Keramos’ attempted to recreate the ’Ocean People Project’, starting to ’plant trees’, replicating the ’Ocean People’.

However, since radiation beasts are ultimately just radiation beasts, the inadequate level led to ’failed tree planting’, causing ’Mixed-blood Sea People’.

Then, the Knight Order intervened, either making a deal or completely subduing ’Keramos’.

This caused the entire plan to restart.

Afterwards, it reached the present.

While some details might differ, the general plot probably wouldn’t change.

After reviving this ’Genetic Ecological Beast’, Gao Gong immediately set off to the next one.

As for why to light up the ’Holy Tree’, there are two reasons. One, the Brain-in-a-Vat needs these ’Holy Trees’; they are practically divine artifacts of evolutionary species.

As long as the Ocean People can harness these ’Holy Trees’, the millions of radiation beast minions under ’Little Woman’s command can transform swiftly.

The second is that they are also divine artifacts for breaking the ’biological local area Network’.

Even ’Little Woman’ does not know this.

In the universe’s Four Great Civilizations, carbon-based and mechanical types are the ones that clash the most.

Though Gao Gong hasn’t tasted pork, he has seen countless carbon-based pigs run.

One ’Holy Tree’ after another lit up, like unlocking map anchor points in a game, with the center of the map being the ’Eye of the Ocean’.

At this time, deep within the Eye of the Ocean, the black radiation energy was shining white, an S-level marker.

The white light concentrated to its peak, and the matter vanished, replaced by a laboratory.

This was a simple ’biological local area Network’; most structures here hadn’t materialized.

Of course, this was compared to the ’Brain-in-a-Vat’.

As a planetary species capable of transitioning from reality to virtual, mastering the means of information life with a carbon-based body, it is already a significant achievement.

If Gao Gong were here, he’d feel a strong sense of déjà vu.

After all, on the desk sits a desktop computer.

At this moment, the computer screen was displaying various images, which were mind maps.

Despite running slowly, the mind maps continued to operate without anyone manipulating them.

Soon, a computer switched to a scene that showed a masked woman, surrounded by countless ’Mixed-blood Sea People Pups’.

The mask was familiar to Gao Gong, as all ’Standard Bearers’ of the Knight Order would have such a mask.

Therefore, the Standard Bearer had the nickname ’Faceless Man’.

The computer screen began to display a line of text——

’Plan failed... why?’

The Female Standard Bearer snorted coldly and said:

”It’s because some forces have intervened, you should know, we have quite a few enemies on the shore.”

’It’s a promise... if not... breach.’

She let out a chuckle and said:

”You are now in the ’Biological Computer’ state, and threatening us at a time like this, isn’t it unreasonable?”

’But the promise was...must follow... or else...’

Evidently, this conversation had happened many times already; otherwise, the Female Standard Bearer wouldn’t have been so impatient.

The desktop computer was silent for a moment, created a new system file, then shut down, returning once more to reality.

It was a primitive ’biological local area Network’, with most structures here unmaterialized.

Achieving the means of information life with a carbon-based body was a significant accomplishment in itself, marking the affinity between these two major civilizational streams, carbon-based and mechanical.

If Gao Gong was here, he’d still recognize this; after all, he had seen pigs run even if he hadn’t slaughtered one himself.

On the desk at that moment, a series of images appeared on a desktop computer screen, these were mind maps.

In the center of the screen, a masked woman appeared, and around her were countless ’mixed-blood sea people infants’.

The mask was one Gao Gong knew well; every ’Standard Bearer’ was known as a ’Faceless Man’.

The woman’s mask was also very familiar.

So the Standard Bearer has earned the nickname ’Faceless Man’.

The dialogue was punctuated by silence, then the desktop showed a newly created system file before shutting down, returning once more to reality.

At this moment, deep inside the Eye of the Ocean, black Radiation Energy has started glowing white, a mark of S-level.

The white light concentrated to its peak, and the matter disappeared, replaced by a laboratory once again.

This was a simple ’Biological Local Area Network’, where most structures here weren’t materialized.

The achievement of transitioning from reality to virtual with a carbon-based body was significant in itself.

In his mind’s eye, Gao Gong instantly experienced a strong sense of déjà vu.

In the office, there was a desktop computer on the desk.

On the computer screen, scene after scene was displayed, depicting a mind map.

A masked woman appeared on the screen, surrounded by countless ’mixed-blood sea people infants’.

Gao Gong immediately recognized the mask. All ’Standard Bearers’ had such a mask.

Thus, the Standard Bearer also earned the nickname ’Faceless Man’.
