Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 452: Chapter 191: Professional Knowledge Chain Gamble?

’According to intercontinental news reports, the new leader of the ’Electronic Grid’, and the only female executive among the six major bionic man giants, Ms. Rose, announced several major events shortly after taking office.’

’First, at the price of one Mother City Coin, she acquired ’Illusionary Union’, the regional hegemon, and obtained all of its technological innovations.’

’Second, as a giant in neural network technology, ’Electronic Grid’ decided to enter the ’chip industry’.’

’The first move pushed ’Electronic Grid’ to a one-day limit-up, but the accompanying business strategy soon caused it to plunge by the limit of three downspans.’

’Why did this happen? Let’s invite a professional to decode it, the second generation bionic man of ’Electronic Grid’, now also an internationally renowned bionic ecology scholar, Dr. J.’

In the interview room, Bird Morgans, this silly rich second-generation, was wearing a sharp suit and seriously asking the guest questions.

After frequently courting disaster, his super-rich dad finally couldn’t stand it and directly canceled his show, kicking him to the economic channel with a severe warning that if he acted up again, he’d be moved to the legal channel.

So, this persistent maverick, the expert in self-sabotage, finally behaved.

Opposite him, an old-style bionic man, obviously differing from current models and full of patched marks, nodded earnestly and began to explain.

”As everyone knows, we bionic men consider the factory as our home and the corporation as our race.”

”So, if you have a bionic man friend, he would proudly tell you, I’m an ’Electronic Grid Man’, I’m a ’Pure White Shell Man’, I’m an ’Artificial Will Man’, I’m a ’Black Bionic Man’, and so on.”

”For us, the enterprise’s products are our bodies, and the enterprise’s continuation is the continuation of the race.”

”And ’Neural Network Technology’, which transformed us from a common product to an intelligent species, has always been the pride of our company.”

”But Ms. Rose’s announcement to restart ’chip technology’ feels, ehm, like a modern society’s administrator suddenly announcing the restart of slavery, racial segregation, and other outdated and decaying systems.”

”In your view, chip technology is such a thing?” Bird Morgans asked, surprised.

”Of course, we know that most bionic men need this technology because it is precisely through the popularization of AI chips that bionic men can truly be called an intelligent ethnicity, rather than a niche experimental product.”

Dr. J’s tone became more serious.

”But we ’Electronic Grid Men’ have already moved past this stage. We have our own ’talented personalities’, and we absolutely cannot go back! This is a regression of bionic man civilization!”

”Moreover, the current chip market has reached a saturation point. Entering this red ocean market at this time means that this woman will certainly adopt aggressive, unstable special chips, which is a complete disaster for all ’Electronic Grid Men’...”

Many words following were muted, obviously, those were probably F-word or words starting with other expletives.

”Ahem,” Bird Morgans, now covered in spit, summarized.

”Such an obviously non-aligned corporate path operation is akin to transforming terrestrial animals into marine animals, herbivores into carnivores, mammals into egg-laying animals, tearing down ’Mr. Great Tree’ and replacing it with ’Wang Laoju Type 3’...”

”’Wang Laoju Type 3’, offering you a perpetual breakthrough experience!!”

”How can this guy still get such ads on the economic channel.”

Gao Gong switched to another channel, unsurprisingly, it was more news about ’Electronic Grid’, and this anchor was more volatile, directly calling Sister Rose ’Evil Woman’, ’Ms. Devil’, ’Postmodern Medusa’.

In short, not a single good word.

Gao Gong brought up all the channels about ’Sister Rose’, at least a hundred in total, and summed up that the last time someone had such a notorious reputation was when a certain Austrian failed art student did.

Gao Gong roughly anticipated the media frenzy but hadn’t expected it to blow up this much.

That feeling, probably akin to publicly endorsing racial ** in the United States.

A resourceful journalist somehow managed to interview Sister Rose just after she disembarked from a flying device.

Clad in red clothes, red lips, and red hair, Sister Rose looked like a flaming torch, and her words were even more explosive.

”Any bionic man model dissatisfied with the corporate strategy will be offered a ’factory reset’ by ’Electronic Grid’ free of charge. If you don’t want to join us, then don’t block our path!”

”Tsk, as expected of Sister Rose, so bluntly confrontational!”

The last one to enjoy such treatment, uh, seemingly was myself.

Despite the booming public opinion, Gao Gong wasn’t too worried about her.

Firstly, the ’Brain Enhancement System’ is a mature product, so there won’t be technical issues.

Secondly, Sister Rose also took away a major weapon, the shell of ’Mr. D’.

Although it was severed in time by Corporate Will, the shell of Mr. D holds many secrets about another bionic giant, ’Pure White Shell’.

What’s the best way to shift contradictions? Of course, it’s to start a war.

Sister Rose is preparing to blow up another giant before launching a corporate war!

”A rich lady is a rich lady, always ambitious.”

”That’s what makes tagging along with a rich lady so delightful.”

Gao Gong opened the ’maintenance fees’ left by the rich lady with a relaxed look.

In fact, the rich lady never casually took anything from others, she was always a giver, even this time.

Ms. Rose brought a grand gift, a ’Professional Knowledge Chain’.

[You obtained a Level 2 Civilization, ’Artificial Data Space’ Professional Knowledge Chain—Artificial Neural Network]

Artificial Neural Network: It is a super technology that mimics the characteristics of intelligent species’ brains to conduct distributed parallel information processing.

Note: This professional knowledge chain is also known as the ’Cradle of Wisdom’.

Gao Gong worked tirelessly, mobilizing players, multitasking, challenging emerging giants, and spent nearly half a year to obtain a professional knowledge chain.

In the end, the system gave one, and so did the rich lady.

So, rich lady = system

Gao Gong understood!

So this is the real way for a transmigrator to open things up.

[Do you want to dismantle the ’Artificial Neural Network’]

Yes

The next moment, this professional knowledge chain split into eight, becoming eight full-level professional knowledge.

[Signal Station], [Inference Machine], [Memory Library], [Intelligent Body], [Emotion System], [Neural Splicing], [Humanity Variables], [Information Network]

Most professional knowledge is easy to understand, such as [Signal Station] corresponds to the brain’s signal system, [Inference Machine] is the computational model of the human brain, [Memory Library] corresponds to the memory system, and [Intelligent Body] is artificial intelligence, or rather, human intelligence...

Only the last two are the most incomprehensible, yet they are also the ’core knowledge’ of this knowledge chain.

It is well known that 90% of bionic men install a ’virtual personality’, a so-called ’factory-bound personality’.

Installing these personality chips allows bionic men’s worldviews to mature rapidly, becoming adults immediately after production.

However, after ’adulthood’, this personality is difficult to change; extroverts always remain extroverted, and the taciturn always remain silent.

Although with the growth of the ’Memory Library’, behavior patterns change, their essence does not.

The phrase ’change of heart’ does not apply to bionic men.

This is one of the reasons why primordial people and modified humans look down on bionic men, calling them merely human-shaped programs.

Many criminal acts against bionic men exploit this weakness of the ’artificial personality’.

However, the ’Electronic Grid’ breaks through this limitation, injecting ’random variables’ into the bionic man’s personality, continually ’updating versions’ with changes in prosthetic bodies and age.

Making them no different from humans.

This is the function of [Humanity Variables].

As for [Information Network], it is even more formidable, and can be said to be one of the foundational knowledge of ’Cyber Space’.

Information life is something that happens after level 60, but before that, the information network can construct an ’information ecology’, nurturing and giving birth to some half-information life.

Some of the strange AIs in Cyber Space, including the ’Big Data Conceptual Body’, are born based on this foundational theory.

And in reality, comprehending this foundational theory allows one to build their own ’Local Area Network’.

The ’Local Area Network’ of the information route is called ’Cyber Space’.

And the mechanical route and biological route can also have their own local area networks.

For example, a ’Brain-in-a-Vat’ can be considered one of the ’biological local area networks’.

Theoretically speaking, Gao Gong can have two ’local area networks’.

...

Virtual Personality, Mechanical Brain Technology, Mechanical Complex, Artificial Neural Network

Also with 50 million alliance experience, Gao Gong’s gambling dog spirit ignited again.

Virtual Personality, Mechanical Brain Technology —— Carbon-Based Civilization: Brain Domain Civilization

Artificial Neural Network —— Information Civilization: Artificial Data Space

Mechanical Complex —— Pure Mechanical Civilization

Carbon-Based, Information, Mechanical.

What a coincidence!

Virtual Personality + Mechanical Brain Technology + Mechanical Complex + Artificial Neural Network

[Do you want to consume 24 million experience to fuse]

Each professional knowledge, when fusing into a knowledge chain, the experience consumption will soar a hundredfold.

professional knowledge 1 million, 8 is 8 million, 4 knowledge chains, 24 million experience, seems quite reasonable, doesn’t it?

Reasonable my ass!

On this day, Gao finally recalled the bloody tears from betting on the knowledge chain flow back then.

If it weren’t for this terrifying consumption, he wouldn’t have just ascended to a level 6 civilization by the late game, completely unable to keep up with version updates, damn it!

This is still based on selling books throughout the universe, making big profits, and being a universe whale—other players would only be worse off.

Fortunately, in this life, there’s an ’Alliance Panel’, relying on managing power and pleasing the rich lady, things aren’t as hard as before.
