Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 453: Chapter 192: Model Transformation

In the ”Cyber Realm,” players emerge as talents... as scum... as perverts.

In short, Gao Gong never considered himself the foremost in any domain among the players.

For instance, in terms of levels, Gao Gong recalls that in the later stages, there were several super grinders whose personal levels reached 210 or even 240, hitting the threshold of a Level 9 Civilization.

But in the realm of ’Gambling Blueprint,’ Gao Gong deemed himself second to none, such that no one dared to claim the first, and even the third or fourth would be vacant.

After all, he was the first in civilization.

According to his countless unsuccessful experiences, if you want to gamble on the ’Knowledge Chain,’ it’s best not to force it.

Because forcing it yields a very low probability of success.

The best method is model synthesis.

For example, create several model blueprints of a Professional Knowledge Chain, then integrate models with models, and the chance of emerging with a Large Civilization Architecture is about 20%~30%.

Don’t disdain this low probability, as the likelihood of a normal Knowledge Chain yielding is about 3.5%.

And the method of model synthesis is as follows—

[Whether to disassemble ’Artificial Neural Network’]

Yes

All professional knowledge obtained from the disassembly is placed into the panel.

[Signal Station] + [Inference Machine] + [Memory Library] + [Intelligent Body] + [Emotion System] + [Neural Splicing] + [Humanity Variables] + [Information Network]

[Whether to consume ’80,000 Experience’ for synthesis]

Yes

[Synthesis Failed]

[Whether to consume ’80,000 Experience’ for synthesis]

[Synthesis Success, you obtained Artificial Intelligent Mechanism 1/5]

[Synthesis Success, you obtained Anti-species Machine 1/10]

[Synthesis Success, you obtained Artificial Intelligent Life 1/20]

...

Generally, these types of blueprints with ?/? indicate that the technological products in this direction are difficult to achieve, let alone ’Civilization Blueprints’.

The probability of realization is almost zero.

Finally, after gambling tens of times and spending millions of experience points, a complete blueprint finally emerged.

[Synthesis Success, you obtained the Level 11 Artificial Intelligence Blueprint [Small Intelligent Mechanic Base]]

”Turned out to be this thing!”

Most of us are somewhat familiar with the ’Intelligent Machinery Crisis’, where a group of intelligent robots rebel and cause revolution, occurring more frequently within the Carbon-Based Civilization and Mechanical Civilization systems.

Of course, not all robots are willing to rebel, especially those with homes and families, completely ’speciesized’ robots.

These robots are instead the biggest opponents of the ’Intelligent Machinery Crisis’.

So, there emerged this ’Small Intelligent Mechanic Base’, or rather, a robot brainwashing base.

Some of the ’non-pure races’ undergo a First Transformation here, instantly ’turning over a new leaf’ and walk on the sole machine-oriented path.

[Whether to disassemble ’Virtual Personality’]

Yes

[Artificial Psychology] + [Brainware Engineering] + [Personal Compilation] + [Memory Transformation] + [Cognitive Science] + [New Biology] + [Beastial Gene] + [Neuronal Technology]

Following the same pattern, this time it was faster, spending just 500,000 experience to gamble out the ’Virtual Personality’ Knowledge Chain blueprint.

[Synthesis Success, you obtained the Level 12 Artificial Intelligence Blueprint [Remote Backup Center]]

Remote Backup Center (Planet-level): Enables storage, transfer, and download of backup personalities

Note: This center currently only provides consciousness downloads within the planet, unable to transmit consciousness across interstellar distances

”Oh, that thing.”

All three Mother Cities have it, so does Arasaka Tower, and most world-class enterprises too.

Back then, Miller’s avatar infiltrated Nightless City using ten-to-one odds this kind of technology.

But theirs was the interstellar version, capable of crossing light-years.

That’s the complete version of this thing.

In the absence of interstellar transmission, the greatest use of this item— is essentially remote working.

[Small Intelligent Mechanic Base], [Remote Backup Center]

These two seem quite useless, indeed.

Attempting an ’Intelligent Machinery Revolution’ on the Mechanical Split Star is suicidal, while remote working isn’t necessary.

In combination, could it possibly be ’Remote Brainwashing’?

Gao Gong shook his head and continued gambling for more blueprints.

Some seemingly unrelated blueprints, when established into a model and combined, might yield unexpected outcomes.

He’s always had experience in this field.

Notably, when gambling on blueprints, the more knowledge involved, the more likely the ’experience overflow phenomenon’ might occur.

What is ’experience overflow phenomenon’?

For instance, the knowledge of a Level 1 Civilization might yield blueprints ranging from 1~5 levels.

The knowledge of a Level 2 Civilization might yield blueprints from 5~10 levels.

However, if you max out the experience injection, and integrate plenty of knowledge, not just one or two, but at least more than five.

Then, your blueprint might ’overflow in level’.

For instance, a Level 2 Civilization’s knowledge, which previously yielded blueprints capped at Level 10, now might reach Level 11 or 12.

Among players, this is a secret, one Gao Gong hasn’t heard others discuss.

Of course, he hasn’t disclosed it himself.

Initially, he thought this was a ’system bug’, later he realized it’s a very normal ’overflow phenomenon’.

In the game, the relationship between knowledge and blueprints works like this.

Knowledge gambles on blueprints.

And blueprints, after updating, continually upgrading, transform into knowledge.

For example, a Level 2 Civilization top-level Level 10 blueprint, through continuous technological iteration, upgrading to Level 11, 12, 13... until Level 15.

Then, within the Level 15 blueprints, there’s a small probability of deducing the Professional Knowledge of a Level 3 Civilization.

In fact, the reason the Cyber Test Field contains some Level 3 Civilization technology is because of this.

’Large Civilization Architecture’ represents the highest achievement of a civilization in a certain direction, undoubtedly a killing weapon.

However, only by repeatedly upgrading ordinary blueprints, continuously transforming into fundamental theory, which is Professional Knowledge, can a civilization ascend to another level.

This is the most orthodox way for a civilization to evolve.

The relationship between the two is like productive forces and production relations, interrelated and promoting each other.

Now, including future players, are all obsessed with leveling up and upgrading weapons.

But in fact, from Gao Gong’s perspective, it’s about upgrading blueprints, leading to knowledge upgrades, then civilization advancement.

This is the correct way to play this game.

Even if purely comparing force, ’Large Civilization Architecture’ is also a more advanced way.

Even Xiao Yu, who possesses Destructive Energy, cannot sever the ’Continent Plate Impact Device’.

As a player, you have to ascend to what level to crush this thing, Level 100? Level 150?

...

In short, under Gao Gong’s constant operation, the Mechanical Brain Technology and Mechanical Complex these two knowledge chains finally produced complete technological blueprints.

Both blueprints are Level 11, pointed out by ’Mechanical Brain Technology’, called [Universal Machine Consciousness], this thing made Gao Gong’s eyes light up, because it also has a nickname, called ’Onboard AI Production Machine’.

Similar to the ’Universal Chip Production Machine’, except what this produces is ’Onboard AI’.

’Onboard AI’ is the upgraded version of ’Car AI’, its purpose is to assist some large combat machines, such as——Large Mechas!

The Mecha team under Gao Gong’s command finally doesn’t have to manually operate the joystick anymore!!

This also means his Mecha can finally move towards ’Gao Da’!

”That’s beautifully done!”

Just this one can already recoup the costs.

As for the Level 11 blueprint pointed out by ’Mechanical Complex’, called [Riverbed Transformation Machine], this thing is just a super-sized excavator, its role is to fill rivers create land, smooth rock planet’s terrain.

Earth Crust Engine, Riverbed Transformation Machine, along with Planet Environment Generator; these are the ’Planet Transformation Trio’ of the Interstellar Civilization.

It can be bought for just 10 million Cosmic Coins.

”[Small Intelligent Mechanic Base], [Remote Backup Center], [Universal Machine Consciousness], [Riverbed Transformation Machine].”

Gao Gong scratched his chin and muttered to himself.

”A bit hard to figure out what ’Civilization Architecture’ these four things can generate.”

It’s the first time Gao Gong has walked the Fusion Route, besides understanding the [Remote Backup Center], others are a bit beyond his scope.

But that’s not important.

If you’re afraid to step out of your comfort zone, what kind of transmigrator would you be?

The next step is to model these four ’blueprints’, then conduct fusion transformations.

In this process, some components will need modification, replacements.

Even the entire ’Knowledge Chain Blueprint’ might have to be overturned, replaced with new blueprints.

This requires a lot of work.

But once the cohesion is successful, based on this ’new model’, then conduct ’Knowledge Chain Merging’, gambling out Civilization Architecture, there’s a 20%~30% probability.

Gao Gong didn’t continue, for a simple reason, Director Du and the major troops are coming.

He needs to discuss the main tasks of the next phase with his subordinates.

Within half a year, players basically graduated from the Newbie Stage.

And they will welcome the first global mission - the seventeenth Corporate War.

...

Accompanied by the first artificial sunlight in the sky, the players who hung up in the Large Nightmare Task finally came online.

”I, Hu Han San, am back!”

”Murder, robbery, gain points!”

”Huh?”

”Huh, huh?”

”Where are the monsters?”

”Where are the hostile NPCs?”

”Where’s my boss?”

Looking at the completely different Nightless City, the players were stunned.

No Mechanical Eyeliner, no Peacekeepers, not even a street advertisement replaced by huge mechanical pipes drilled out from the ground, inserted into each skyscraper, architecture, house.

As if the whole Nightless City has become a city-level orbit.

”The map refreshed?”

A player couldn’t help but step into the mechanical pipe, soon, a sound similar to a subway rang, soon, his eyeballs widened.

”Whoa, Transformer, no, Iron Brave Train Hero!”

’Hope’ stopped, mechanical eyeballs like spotlights stared at the player, muffled and stuffy.

”What, not getting on the train?”

”Oh, oh oh oh.”

This player quickly squeezed into the cabin similar to a driver’s seat.

In the cabin, many players were already curiously looking around.

”Our enemy, Dark, will chase us, only by defeating the enemy, can we reach our destination.”

”And only through solidarity and cooperation can we defeat the enemy, my captains.”

”Welcome to the New Mechanic City: Rail City!”
