Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 468: Chapter 7: The Past and Present of Blue Water Technology (Part 2)

But the biological computer is different; it represents a kind of ’simulated evolution’.

Birds, in order to better catch insects, naturally develop beaks that are sharp and elongated, because those that don’t evolve starve.

The neck of a giraffe, the shell of a turtle, the claws and fangs of tigers and wolves are all products of evolution.

Once an evolved organ adapts to its environment, this evolution will stagnate.

It’s like once a street writer starts to idle, he probably won’t push himself anymore.

What to do at that time? You should push him into the little black room, put black stockings on him, whip him, abuse him, kick his vitals, and don’t feed him if he doesn’t write.

At this time, he would be driven to work hard.

The internal system of the biological computer is just such an ’evolution system’.

And the first thing intruders face is such a kind of ’self-evolution’.

The eyes, ears, mouth, and nose, which are vision, hearing, taste, and smell, were sealed first.

Then, Gao Gong clearly felt that his consciousness began to accelerate in division.

As a ’brainstorming master’, he immediately imagined his arms like branches of a tree, with hundreds of ’twigs’ growing out, and then the ’twigs’ growing more ’twigs’, each one being an arm.

It was the same with his head, like Buddha’s ’flesh topknot’, suddenly bulging out with dozens of ’bumps’, and then the ’flesh bumps’ grew facial features, turning into human heads, and the heads grow ’flesh topknots’, each topknot further splitting into dozens of human heads, like stacking acrobats.

’So eager for self-replication, truly worthy of being a biological computer.’

’To extract evolution from the world of life and exist in the form of pure mathematics, that’s something!’

With a thought from Gao Gong, a thin layer of flesh membrane covered all the heads, arms, and thighs, and a sound like thunderous digestion resounded.

S-Level Talent: Flesh Fusion

Within a few breaths, the grown parts were completely digested, and then Gao Gong felt the ground beneath his feet vanish, and he fell into a ’recycle bin’.

It could be said to be a recycle bin, but it was more like an oversized stomach because Gao Gong saw huge stomach walls, gastric mucus, and... countless heads of mixed-blood sea people.

Countless pairs of eyeballs stared dead at him.

’Placing the computer’s recycle bin in the digestive system, a standard operation, but personally, I don’t recommend it.’

’Because for an old hacker, a simple ’data restoration’, the secret you wanted to wipe clean will be discovered.’

’Biological traces are permanently imprinted on the source code, you know.’

Suddenly, a cluster of data flames burst from Gao Gong’s palm, the flames were blue, though the fire code was not dominant, it rather exuded an aura of ’the highest good resembles water.’

With a gentle flip of his palm, the next moment, the blue flames penetrated the stomach walls like threads of blue light, fusing into the digestive system.

[You are performing data restoration, progress 1%, 2%, 3%...]

One advantage of a biological computer is that, being a ’computer’, it comes with a ’signal system’, and the ’internet speed is excellent’.

Soon, the data restoration of the ’recycle bin’ reached 100%.

The next moment, the stomach wall vanished, replaced by countless deleted records.

On the surface of gastric juice, various discarded codes rolled within.

”Let me take a look, so it’s like this—”

As codes flickered in Gao Gong’s eyes, an expression of sudden realization gradually emerged.

In the recycle bin, there was not only a large amount of discarded data on the ’biological computer’, but also internal data from the first mechanical war.

Unexpected yet within reason.

The first mechanical war was a struggle between the civilization of Mechanical Split Star and the ’Star Thief Group’.

The so-called ’Star Thief Group’ was actually an interstellar army composed of interstellar pirates, mercenaries, and genetic traffickers.

In the face of this unprecedented crisis, the nations of Mechanical Split Star began an unprecedented union to organize an allied force and counterattack.

An ascension civilization can only be defeated by another ascension civilization.

But a civilization of level 3 and below (including level 3) could potentially be struck by a dimensional strike.

For example, with some super interstellar warriors who can withstand nuclear bombs, low-level civilizations indeed have few methods to deal with them.

Therefore, when the war was at a disadvantage, humans on Mechanical Split Star called for help from the universe, hoping for intervention from other civilizations, while also drafting the final spark plan.

The content of the spark plan was to build a super space station capable of accommodating both the Mechanical Split Gene Bank and Seed Bank, and at the last moment, send it into exile, as the final spark, wandering the universe.

And this ’super space station’ is ’Cloud City’.

’...’

Reading up to here, Gao Gong uncharacteristically fell silent for a moment.

Then, the plan was never executed, not because the human allied forces were eliminated, but because a response from the universe arrived.

The advanced civilization that responded to Mechanical Split Star was the controller of the Mother City, the Ancient Mechanical Civilization.

In other words, in the first mechanical war, the Mother City and the major countries of Mechanical Split Star were in a united front.

Hmm—

Though it wasn’t unexpected.

As for Blue Water Technology, it was a company within the alliance, and its research direction was ’cloning’.

During the war, it was commandeered by the Mechanical Split Star allied forces to produce clone cannon fodder.

During this period, the Mother City imparted several advanced biotechnologies to it, enabling it to mass-produce cloned bodies more efficiently.

After the war ended, Blue Water Technology resumed its old trade. Due to technical advancements, and gaining inspiration from interstellar captives, it decided to pursue a more sophisticated direction— ’mutant research’.

’Ocean People’ was one of the subordinate projects of ’mutant research’.

Then came the second mechanical war, where human civilization and the Mother City ended their alliance.

It’s worth mentioning that after Blue Water Technology was destroyed due to World War II, the surviving researchers established a new organization to continue research in the biological direction.

And that organization is the ’Biological Mutation Association’.

It feels like a big circle, yet coming back to the same place.

Speaking of which, could the technology of the ’biological computer’ possibly attract the research elites of the ’Biological Mutation Association’?

A full-level biologist is a treasure for any power.

This thought flashed by briefly.

As for the God of Ocean People ’Keramos’, Gao Gong also figured out its origins.

It was actually a kind of underwater worm, born after digesting all the first-generation ocean people experimental bodies.

The deal the Knight Order had with it was to help it advance further, from A+ level to S-level fully.

In return, ’Keramos’ was to join the Knight Order and become a ’Standard Bearer’.

Undoubtedly, this was a conspiracy.

Because all the Standard Bearers were avatars of ’war’.

And as a worm, ’Keramos’ had only three systems: the digestive system and circulatory system, and a partially underdeveloped neural system.

Its neural system would be roughly comparable to only 10% of a normal person.

The biological computer’s attraction was because once installed successfully, its neural system would evolve to 500%.

This was an irresistible condition.

Gao Gong somewhat understood why ’Keramos’ would plot alongside a tiger.

Of course, though, the worm itself wasn’t a good entity either.

According to its plan, all mixed-blood sea people would become its ’system programs’.

”Only three systems, then you’re finished.”

The fewer systems a biological computer has, the easier it is to invade.

Watch Mr. G I defeat an S-Level while at full health!

With this thought, in the next instant, the code layer on the stomach wall disappeared, replaced by countless phantom worms.

The gastric juice beneath roiled with waves, its surging heat akin to sulfuric acid, evoking a continuous flickering of codes on Gao Gong’s body surface.

Uh-oh, I’ve been discovered!

”How did you find out?” Gao Gong asked with interest.

”According to your human standards, S-Level Radiation Beasts have a kind of secret connection, and this connection can only be sensed by the main body.”

No wonder, I just implanted the bloodline.

An S-Level talent cannot truly represent the main body.

Perhaps when Gao Gong’s organism transformation rate reaches 125%, the limit of the 3rd transformation, he could fully master the S-Level bloodline.

But even being discovered doesn’t matter.

Darn, I’ll blacken you to death!

But ’Keramos’ made a move even Gao Gong couldn’t anticipate.

It simultaneously opened up three human body systems to him.
