Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 450: Chapter 189: Skull Society

Sister Rose, you’ve changed. According to your old viewpoint, morals are more important than principles.

And I, your loyal little wolfdog, have always been devoted to you, without any plans of switching to another rich lady’s camp.

Although Sister Rose’s tone was as arrogant and self-assured as always, Gao Gong keenly sensed a slight tinge of jealousy in her words.

As a man who lives off wealthy women, any sign of danger must be nipped in the bud.

Gao Gong skillfully kneaded the smooth shoulder while pondering how to get through this big crisis.

He hadn’t used his brain so much even when dealing with the ’Human Completion Plan’.

Human Completion Plan, Moral Chip?

Gao Gong suddenly realized that he had something on hand that would definitely interest her.

”Knowing Sister Rose was coming, I prepared lots of gifts for you.”

”Oh? Better than that continent-destroying level weapon? Or more important than the Mechanical Hub?”

Black Rose turned her head with a slightly raised chin, half-smiling, with peaks standing tall beneath her jaw, very intimidating.

Damn, you know everything. Gao Gong instantly knew that if he was just all talk, the outcome would be disastrous.

A rich lady isn’t a little girl who’s easily satisfied with some flowers and plants.

Gao Gong leaned to her ear, ”How about I give you the entire Illusionary Union?”

”A regional-level small company,” she said with the authority of a director of the Six Major Bionic Groups, indeed qualified to say so.

”Moral Chip technology + Universal Chip Production Machine technology, that’s my gift to you,” Gao Gong said with deference, climbing a metaphorical mountain with one hand.

”Chip technology, well, it has some usefulness to me, at least it will make this quarter’s report look much better.”

The Electronic Grid is a giant in the Bionic Realm, focusing on Neural Network. Chip technology isn’t useless to them, but it doesn’t serve much purpose either.

After all, one of the critical technology challenges the ’Electronic Grid’ overcame is how to transcend the ’chip’ limitation and further bionic evolution.

Rich women sure have a big appetite, be it on the physical or material level.

Gao Gong thought for a moment and decided to play his trump card.

”What about a means to counter the Electronic Brain Plan?”

Sister Rose raised an eyebrow, ”You know about that too?”

Indeed, in the eyes of the true planetary elite, the Electronic Brain Plan had already become a public secret.

Gao Gong whispered a few words near her ear. Seeing the rich lady’s ear crystal clear and small, unexpectedly cute for her status, he couldn’t help but kiss it twice.

”Really?!”

The final piece of information finally startled the rich lady; Sister Rose suddenly stood up, pulling Gao Gong into her arms with a regal aura.

”I’m glad I didn’t support you in vain.”

”Mmm mmm mmm mmm mmm...”

...

On the last day of the third day, a pale-faced, trembling-legged Gao Gong appeared at the ruins of the ’Illusion Mansion’.

With the help of numerous Mechanical Eyeliners, the ’Continent Plate Impact Device’ was finally dismantled into thousands of pieces, transported onto the fleet of the Sulfuric Acid River. These fleets would cross the river into the sea, carrying these parts to fourteen research bases set up by Du Gao Technology on different continents.

”Your body seems in trouble, sick?” Pupil looked at Gao Gong with some surprise; in her impression, this person had never been so weak.

”Heh heh, high mountains are difficult to climb, deep waters are unfathomable. Under the vast ocean’s unrestrained fury, human strength ultimately feels shallow,” Gao Gong said, with dark circles under his eyes, looking weary.

”???”

”Master means he needs to enhance his kidney function,” said the Collider, who had already begun to comprehend the Rich Lady’s Manual, with a calm expression.

”You’re knowledgeable,” Gao Gong nodded with satisfaction, glanced at the three from the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division, and couldn’t resist making a sarcastic comment upon seeing their now-relaxed faces:

”What, did you get visited in your dreams by your deadbeat boss last night?”

Pupil chuckled softly, without directly responding, instead changing the subject: ”Anyway, it’s all concluded for now; it’s time for us to say goodbye.”

”Finally, some chance to rest,” Chapai stretched, his eyes showing dark circles similar to Gao Gong’s.

”Is that so? Congratulations then,” Gao Gong said with an odd tone.

Rest, what a dream! Corporate wars are about to erupt, followed by the Electronic Brain Plan, and then the Cyber Tide — with major events exploding like a chain reaction.

As the action department of Mother City’s Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division, thinking of resting? Count on 007.

”Friendly reminder, stand on the side of order,” Pupil glanced at Gao Gong and said, ”Madness is temporary. Rushing wildly on the technology tree benefits only the Mother City, and the price must be borne individually. Don’t become expendable in the Cyber Test Field.”

”That doesn’t sound like what a Mother City official would say,” Gao Gong flashed a brilliant smile, ”But since you’re so sincere, I’ll give you a tip: get a liver transplant.”

Pupil’s face flushed slightly, recalling something, adjusted her ’beer bottle cap glasses,’ glared at Gao Gong, and turned to leave.

”Master, when the next version of the Rich Lady’s Maintenance Manual 2.0 comes out, you must mail it to me. I feel I’m just one step away from being maintained by Captain Suzi!”

Just for the ’Memory Metal Cells’ you’ve provided, when the 2.0 version of the Rich Lady’s Manual is out, you’ll be the first to get it. But no matter how strong the manual is, practical application is necessary. Do you have what it takes, kid?

Chapai shoved the reluctant Collider away and gave a meaningful look at the ’brain disc’ area of Gao Gong.

”Boss Gao, the Deep Web Lord harbors no prejudice against hackers. When you have time, feel free to visit the Deep Net. With your abilities, surely you’ll find a place for yourself, even in Mother City.”

”I’ll remember that.”

”La la la, Boss Gao, we’re off now!”

”La la la la, Boss Gao, hope you’ll treat me to gasoline-flavored juice again someday!”

As the childlike voice of the Hidden Guard Machine rang out, amidst a massive collision sound, three figures disappeared right before Gao Gong’s eyes.

”Boss.”

The right side of Gao Gong, which was initially empty, began to fill with countless threads of web being spun from the Cyber Space at the sound of Daisila’s voice. Gradually, it wove into a humanoid form of web, with an indescribable field of evil whispers descending on the scene. These were ’Nightmare Codes’, unique to the Deep Web Weaver, special sensory data born from human emotions stimulated in nightmares, possessing a virulence akin to that of a virus.

On the system panel, three or four negative statuses suddenly appeared.

Gao Gong wasn’t concerned; he merely stared at the rising and falling features of the other party, frowned, and said, ”You don’t seem to have fully mastered the ’Deep Web Weaving’ technology yet? Is it okay to just come out like this?”

”No problem, boss, I’ve crossed the threshold. I have a hunch that once the biological chip for the ’Deep Web Weaver’ is completed, it will be a great leap forward for me.”

Gao Gong glanced at the other party’s panel, and sure enough, it had risen from level 30 to level 35.

Nourished by the resources of a large gang, this woman’s level was rising rapidly.

Of course, as the first Carbon Fusion in the faction, and also the first Hunter on the ’Spider Lady’ route, she was certainly worth better resource cultivation.

”Boss, I’ve arranged for the Deep Web Weavers to retreat; I’ll be the last to leave, along with President Du.”

The twisted features slowly merged, and finally, a thing akin to an invitation was spat out.

”Additionally, we ransacked all the vaults of the Illusionary Union, and in the vault with the highest confidentiality level, we found something like this. I thought it necessary to bring it for you to see.”

Gao Gong raised an eyebrow and took the invitation. Its design wasn’t particularly special, but the material did surprise him a bit.

Because in reality, almost no inanimate object can be brought into Cyber Space, but this invitation being able to enter Cyber Space and then be retrieved back into reality meant a part of it was made of ’Information Materials’.

This was a precious material second only to ’Information Life’.

In a way, Information Life is made of these materials.

The content of the letter was also very special, written in crimson font, with an arrogant style—

The Skull Society salutes you. You’ve finally taken your first steps towards the evolution of a great enterprise:

Your preliminary review has been approved, and the final review will be handled by the founder of the Fairy Tale Toy Land, Bandai

Preliminary review—Mas Sharpness

Final review—Fairy Tale Toy Land

Wishing you a pleasant life—from all members of the Skull Society

”Skull Society!”

Gao Gong showed an expression of surprise, then gradually turned into a realization.

Now he finally understood where the 500 points of favor came from when he took down ’Hugh Laurie’.

Indeed, eliminating a member of the Skull Society, or rather, a prospective member, would increase the favorability of this organization.

In the mid to late stages of the Planet Plot, players would gradually realize one thing.

The false corporate enemy—Old Man Aramaki

The real corporate enemy—the Skull Society

As everyone knows, the Giant Corporation is the nemesis of the Cloud Nobility. In the Cyber Experiment Field, doing brokerage won’t beat doing real industries.

This is why those old-time nobles would gradually be eliminated by monopolistic enterprises.

But later, those monopolistic enterprises, world corporations, also realized one thing.

In the Cyber Experiment Field, a company engaged in monopolization is no match for a company crazily breaking through the technology tree.

The Skull Society, is a group of madmen, or rather, the madmen among madmen.

To join the Skull Society, one must meet three conditions—

First, you must be the founder of an enterprise

Second, you must be a pioneer on a new route of the technology tree

Third, you must charge fiercely forward, becoming a disruptor in an industry, even a world disruptor

After the Cyber Tide launched, the Skull Society was one of the few business organizations that thrived.

Amid the torrent of reality’s collapse, they thrived better than anyone.

In the later stages of the Planet Plot, each of these people was a killer of Giant Corporations, with each having at least taken down one monopolistic enterprise.

Mobilize the masses? That’s unnecessary; we’ll completely transform the masses.

Monopoly is an outdated order, and the world needs boundless frenzy!

This is the Skull Society, a PUA organization for bosses.

And these two reviewers are also quite famous.

Mas Sharpness, future leader of military contractors, a super weapon modification maniac.

’Continent Plate Impact Device’ is probably the gift from the other party.

As for ’Fairy Tale Toy Land’, it seems like a seemingly ordinary toy company.

But after the Cyber Tide launched, it gained several nicknames like ’Bionic Man Extinguisher’, ’Bionic Corporation’s Nemesis’.

And which corporation is its nemesis?

The answer is all of them!

In the future, it will be the nemesis of the six major bionic giants!
