Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 436: Chapter 181: Lady Nighttis (2)

Aramaki is known as a corporate enemy; you can imagine the style of his subordinates.

Colluding with local forces isn’t the style of the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division.

What benefits did that person give them to make them so obedient?

”I will handle this impartially,” Lady Nighttis finally replied and then went inside.

”What does she mean by that? Did she agree or not?” Chapai scratched his chin.

”She was probably persuaded, right?” Pupil said uncertainly.

”Anyway, we’ve done what we needed to do,” Chapai shrugged, ”Now let’s watch that person’s show.”

...

Lady Nighttis had just entered the Main Brain Core when her eyebrows furrowed deeply.

In the main seat of the Mechanical Main Brain, a young man was sitting with an ambiguous smile, toying with a small black box in his hand.

’Three Level 70 Cloud Wing Assassins, tsk tsk!’

Before Nighttis could speak, a man wearing sunglasses next to him frowned, and the entire Data Space began to tremble. Lines of code appeared with cracks, and in the next moment, the whole Main Brain Area’s buildings all disintegrated into data.

A fifth of the ’city data’ disappeared instantly.

In reality, all software systems in the Main Brain Area disappeared.

This is a kind of large-scale clearance capability, which should be called ’garbage cleaning’ in ancient words.

The ground disappeared, replaced by a giant black hole, and disintegrated data was sucked in like a tide.

This level of ’data permission’ can only be achieved by a Cloud Wing Assassin.

However, in the next moment, another authority intervened in it.

That was the authority of the Mechanical Main Brain.

Each face of the small black box in Gao Gong’s hand lit up, and with each face lighting up, Nightless City’s ’Virtual City Wall’ rose. When all the faces on the small black box lit up, the entire Nightless City’s IP, content, traffic, domain names were all fixed.

This move had been used by the Mechanic before, an extremely dangerous move, almost unsolvable among Level 2 Civilizations.

I have blocked your net, let’s see how you upload data now!

In the next moment, the ’man in white with sunglasses’ started shaking violently. With each shake, a piece of the previously ’cleared’ garbage was regurgitated out.

Until the ’Main Brain Area’ was restored to the ’Main Brain Area’ again, the shaking stopped.

Another man in white with sunglasses glanced at Nighttis; seeing she didn’t intervene, he also restrained himself from taking action.

Lady Nighttis suddenly took off her sunglasses, revealing a pair of blue eyes. She slightly raised her head, her tone a bit more respectful: ”I didn’t expect to see you here too, Lady Eliza.”

A soft laugh echoed in the air.

”What is it, are you surprised to see me, or are you surprised that I haven’t been caught?”

”The Humanity Experiment Department is always known for being radical. Their internal projects have nothing to do with us virtual lives. Seeing you safe and sound, I express my heartfelt joy.”

”Stability in the data level has always been a goal we pursue.”

”Ms. Deep Web is indeed much easier to talk to than that old man from the Fortress,” Eliza said calmly, ”Just trouble you to pass on a message to the Fortress: the previous matters will definitely not be let go of like this. The Big Data Conceptual Body will not become its servant, nor will it participate in his perverted experiments.”

”If it continues to act recklessly like this, sooner or later, all the Data Concept Bodies will part ways with it.”

”This year’s Fortress Conference, I, the Deep Web Bridge, and the Data Sanctuary will not participate.”

The three Data Concept Bodies not attending the Fortress Conference is a big deal!

Lady Nighttis was silent for a while, then slowly nodded.

This issue indeed needs to be reported to those three.

But now, she is more interested in the one sitting in the Mechanic’s position.

The support of the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division members, Lady Eliza’s implied protection, and this control over the Mechanic’s power.

Although he didn’t say a word, Nighttis was sure the other party was demonstrating.

Whether in background or personal power, he was not afraid of the three of them.

Even if they are the top Cyber Killers, possessing the highest level of permissions, they shouldn’t think about dealing with him through conventional means.

Quite troublesome indeed.

Gao Gong first spoke, his expression sincere, his tone playful: ”So you are the envoy from the Mother City! It’s really good that you have come; if you hadn’t, I wouldn’t know how to deal with this mess.”

Lady Nighttis put on her sunglasses, and in the next moment, all the information of ’Gao Gong’ was displayed.

A cunning local bully?

”Before dealing with the matters, could you first explain why you are able to wield the Mechanic’s power?”

”Let’s leave that question to someone to explain to you.”

Gao Gong played with the small black box like a Magic Cube, but a layer of white light began to wrap over his body, gradually outlining a human figure.

’Such a level of underlying code, why is it another Main Brain Level?’

Eventually, a middle-aged man with a melancholic look and a hint of stubble emerged from the white light.

The sunglasses of the three Cloud Wing Assassins instantly displayed the data of this middle-aged man.

”The main persona of Mechanical Main Brain No. 124.”

”How are you not dead yet?”

The Speakerless twitched the corner of his mouth, ”As a former colleague, your concern is truly heartwarming.”

”Explain, then,” Lady Nighttis said calmly, ”Or rather, give me a reason I can convince myself.”

The Speakerless secretly breathed a sigh of relief; this at least meant that the other party wouldn’t do a large-scale purge like elsewhere.

Soon, the internal battle of the dual-mechanics, the reverse devouring of the Mechanical Main Brain by Corporate Will, these events that the Cloud Wing Assassins had long known were recounted by the Speakerless.
