Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 435: Chapter 181: Lady Nighttis

The woman in white with sunglasses glanced down, at a landscape of broken walls and ruins, countless collapsed high-rises.

However, in the ruins, mechanical eyeliners were constantly hovering, a flash of laser would cut open the collapsed areas and rescue the people inside.

A normal Mechanical Main Brain would not do such a thing.

Especially after the Mechanical Awakening.

The woman in white with sunglasses closed her eyes, and the next moment, the virtual cloud drive activated, countless virtual networks covered the entire city, directly copying and uploading the city’s data.

During the upload process, memories converted from sensory data continuously appeared in the reflection of the woman’s sunglasses.

The whole process of the ’Human Completion Plan’ seemed to be replayed.

In this process, nothing could be hidden without being discovered.

The woman in sunglasses ’witnessed’ Hugh Laurie’s ambition and dominance, the conflicts and divisions between new and old Mechanics, the maniacal laughter of the bat, the numbed moral data, the mechanical girl swinging a blade at the giant column.

Finally, her eyes fixed on one person.

This person seemed to do nothing, yet appeared to be everywhere.

It was a young shota with an angelic face.

”Tsk tsk, what a cute boy,” the woman in white with sunglasses said expressionlessly, then stepped out and appeared in the Main Brain Area.

In the cloud drive, she didn’t need a ’hyperlink’ or any data migration method to appear anywhere.

However, the next moment, a warm, somewhat familiar voice sounded.

”Yo yo yo, isn’t this our loyal Network Killer, the great guardian of the Deep Web Empress, the Madam of the Cloud Disk.”

Collider grinned, flying to face her, his face made of memory metal showing a flattery not aligned with its metallic material.

”Chief Combatant of the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division, Collider, or in other words, Activated Metal No. 1.”

The woman in white with sunglasses tilted her head to observe the other party, ”After the failure of the activated metal experimental project, all abandoned materials from the project should have been eliminated to avoid accidents like Bionic A. Later, Aramaki sheltered you, and now he’s dead, yet you’re here again.”

”Does this mean, out of his control, your AI logic has been infected by the ’mechanical independence’ wave virus.”

Collider’s face sank, apart from checking and killing viruses, the Cloud Disk Killer had another more important job, which was ’mechanical purging’.

That means dealing with those Mechanical Lives who want to escape the control of Mother City.

Not every Mechanical Life is willing to live under the control of Mother City.

Though they haven’t ’mechanical awakened’ and taken the path of ’Carbon-Based Species Extinction’, they also don’t want to become mere executing programs.

And the Cloud Wing Assassin is responsible for dealing with these disobedient robots.

On their hands, they even have the heads of Mechanical Race leaders.

A single sentence could send Collider to the guillotine.

Collider was about to say something when someone held him back, and the nervous illusion of Pupil appeared beside him, calmly saying, ”All our mission execution records have been uploaded to the Six Ministries’ database, including this special action which was pre-reported.”

”No one knew that the Mechanics would ’mechanical awaken’, in fact, what we were suppressing was the Mechanics themselves.”

”Although the Cloud Wings are strong, our Six Ministries aren’t to be trifled with either, do you want to confront us before the Deep Web Lord?”

The furrowed brow of the man in sunglasses beside the woman, though the Six Ministries had constant internal struggles, when confronting external forces, they stood united, especially the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division, known for their headstrong approach, backed by several dependents of the Deep Web Lord within their department, ignoring all rules.

Of course, their combat achievements are also quite outstanding.

”Haha, how did we get into chatting, isn’t this our Lady Nighttis? Long time no see, you’ve become even more beautiful, is it because of new skin code?”

Chapai’s voice rang, as slick and unafraid as ever.

”Oh, it’s you.”

Though equally cold, it was obvious that the woman in white with sunglasses held a different attitude towards Chapai.

In Mother City, Cyber Killers play the role of ’Secret Police’, with few friends, feared by almost all Mother City influences.

Perhaps it’s the shared struggle or the similar style, for hackers who depend on Mother City, one hunts viruses while the other creates them, the two rarely get along.

With Chapai around, a good atmosphere was quickly restored between both sides, Collider with his iron-faced flattery.

”So, what exactly do you want?”

Finally, before seeing the queller of this ’mechanical awakening’ incident, or rather, the Controller behind the scenes, Lady Nighttis stopped and said.

”Hehehe, actually it’s quite simple, after all, the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division solved this matter. I think the report should be drafted by us.” Chapai chuckled.

”Of course, you can take the rebellious Mechanical Main Brain core, on the road to eradicating ’pure mechanicalists’, we Mechanical Lives absolutely support Mother City!”

Collider kept it politically correct to the max.

Lady Nighttis was surprised to look at the three members of the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division in front of her.

”When did you all become like this?”

Indeed, some in Mother City were willing to maintain good relations with Giant Corporations, but this certainly did not include the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division.
