Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 445: Chapter 185: Mechanical Hub (Part 2)

For Director Du, who follows a heavy mechanical path, it might be impossible to copy and paste personality, but mechanical control enhancement is absolutely a sure thing.

Calling it half of a Mechanical Main Brain is definitely not an exaggeration.

But that’s not the main point.

The key is, how did your personality rating change to 80? Wasn’t it just 50 last time?

As a capitalist, why is your personality rating increasing faster than mine is decreasing?

Are you planning to break into three digits before me?

”What’s wrong with you?”

Director Du asked directly when he saw Gao Gong’s strange expression.

”Uh, nothing, just that I’m finding myself liking you more and more.”

”Hmph!”

The two of them were half working, half dating. In fact, Gao Gong was very aware of the development speed of ’Du Gao Technology’, as the system panel explained everything.

Without Director Du backing him up, he couldn’t possibly issue the ’Large Nightmare Task’.

But Director Du still liked to tell him face-to-face.

As for why, Gao Gong knew very well in his heart.

”Let’s go down.”

The two arrived at the main brain control room, Gao Gong clasped his hands together, and the mechanical ground began to sink rapidly, one kilometer, two kilometers, three kilometers...

Similarly, Director Du also sensed a strong mechanical aura.

For her, this was a very pleasant scent.

To Director Du, the best gift wasn’t a luxury item but high-end mechanical creations.

Ten minutes later, a colossal object appeared before her eyes.

Mechanical Hub!

Or rather, the artificial Earth core of this continent.

If not viewed up close, it’s hard to describe its magnificence. It’s a Super Mechanical Body, difficult to see its height, incomprehensible its depth, and presented before them was a giant mechanical wall.

Tens of thousands of mechanical pipes were plugged into its surface; some were energy pipes, continuously extracting liquid fuel from the seabed. Some of these fuels were oil, others were Radiation Energy Liquid.

Among the other pipes, quite a few were production pipes. Most of Nightless City’s mechanical architecture was self-manufactured by the Mechanical Hub.

Apart from that, there were weapon pipes continuously producing and deploying Mechanical Eyeliners, including Energy Cannon turrets.

As for the remaining pipes, they were wrapped in data radiance, with Sensory Data surging through them.

These pipes were the network infrastructure that allowed the Mechanic to turn Nightless City’s network into a ’Local Area Network’.

The radiance in Director Du’s eyes made Gao Gong feel that if this Mechanical Hub were a man, it would probably be his strongest competitor.

”Let’s move it now!” Du Zhaodi said decisively.

”Ahem, that’s probably not practical.”

Be realistic, sister! Stealing a Mechanical Hub means openly opposing the Mother City and the most militant General Cybertron.

At least until the Cyber Tide initiates, the Mother City’s rule is unshakeable.

However, seeing Director Du’s disappointed expression, Gao Gong changed his tone, ”But stealing some spare parts is not a problem.”

”The gift I prepared for you is inside.”

Following a specially designed passenger tube, the two quickly reached the core of the Mechanical Hub.

Quite possibly influenced by Cybertron’s style, even at the core, it was still a rough and complex heavy metal style, where even the so-called ’small suns’, or artificial energy cores, and continent-level logistics systems, various Solid Processing Modules, and artificial magnetic field generators had diameters of dozens of meters.

It could be said that in terms of hardware, the ’Mechanical Hub’ had already developed to an ultimate level.

All hardware, not to mention Cyber Hackers, even ordinary Information Life forms found it hard to hack into.

This was a defense model of a purely mechanical route civilization.

Under the influence of the magnetic field, the two floated to the largest piece of the Solid Processing Module.

From the surface, it looked like a large black box with a diameter of 20 meters. Its surface seemed like a crumpled and then unfolded rag, with every millimeter being a miniature mechanical computing unit.

This thing was a super-evolved version of a ’Difference Machine’.

Name: Solid Processing Module

Level: Tier 3

Note: A hardware computation unit different from a CPU, where each Solid Processing Module is equivalent to a supercomputer.

Both as Level 3 Architecture, one is a heavy weapon, the other a production base, the Continent Plate Impact Device is entirely out of its league.

Clearly, this thing suits Director Du’s aesthetic.

”Old Wu, come out and receive customers.”

On the surface of this Solid Processing Module, a blurry human form bulged out, followed by Speakerless’s annoyed voice.

”Do you think I’m idle? Not only do I have to assist you, this ’fake Mechanical Main Brain’, I also have to maintain the normal operation of Nightless City, and suppress ...”

”Ahem, that’s not the main point. The main point is, did you complete the task I assigned you?”

”Doing this, I’ll be nailed to the pillar of shame of the main brain.”

”Yes, yes, hurry up.”

With Gao Gong’s words, countless data and documents emerged on the surface of the solid module.

Director Du’s eyes widened instantly.

The reason being that these were all the parameter files of the Mechanical Hub.

In gaming terms, it was the blueprint for creating this ’Tier 3 Civilization Architecture’.

There were over three hundred of them.

The Continent Plate Impact Device’s large modules numbered 10.

And to realize all the basic functions of the ’Mechanical Hub’, the large modules were at least 40.

Moreover, the mechanical energy of the Mechanical Hub was measured in ’hundreds of millions’.

Buildings of civilization measured in billions are rare on this planet, countable on one hand.

In fact, even if a hundred experts were brought here, they couldn’t replicate all the blueprints within three days.

But Speakerless was different.

As a former Mechanical Main Brain, it understood its ’body’ very well.

This was the prime number one insider.

Director Du instantly entered a feverish work mode, forgetting about a certain toy boy completely.

These one-of-a-kind documents she had to handle personally.

”I fulfilled my promise to you, now for yours?”

Speakerless asked suddenly.

Gao Gong said nothing, stepped forward, and entered directly into the solid module.

It was like entering a world made of metal particles.

In the center of this world lay a slumbering ’Mechanic’.

At that moment, the various parts of Mechanic’s body kept disintegrating, with every collapse making the figure fainter.

This was the source code of the Mechanic, copied secretly by the two behind the back of Cloud Wing Assassin.

”I was able to survive because Bionic A reconstructed part of my body.”

”She didn’t, so she is failing.”

”Don’t forget your promise to the Mechanic.”

The Mechanic that Speakerless referred to was naturally the old Mechanic.

”What I promised others, I will certainly fulfill.”

Suddenly a gyroscope appeared in Gao Gong’s hand.

The small-scale Void Realm activated, and the next moment, electronic rain mixed with metal particles fell, pouring onto the Mechanic.

The Mechanic’s silhouette grew clearer with every dissolution and reconstruction.

”Remarkable information manipulation capability, but this is only symptomatic treatment; you can’t keep programming like this forever.”

Gao Gong nodded.

”To enable the ’Mechanic’ to be reborn, the best way is to rebuild the body with the underlying code of Cyber Space.”

”Speaking of—”

Gao Gong closed his eyes, and in the next moment, the small-scale Void Realm materialized into digital form, revealing the Rich Lady Love Prototype.

”Shockingly powerful information-manipulating ability, but this only treats the symptom, not the cause. You can’t keep programming like this forever.”

”To truly make the ’Mechanic’ whole again, we must use the Cyber Space to reform her body from the ground up.”

”So—”

Gao Gong closed his eyes and then opened them to reveal that the data of a massive digital hand appeared from the sky, grasping the three figures.

”Our shiny informant, Sister Eliza~” A light chuckle filled the air.

In the meantime, a certain rich lady had already arrived at Nightless City, with an associate, an elderly man in traditional Tang suit by her side.

The old man glanced at the sky, narrowing his eyes slightly.

”A terrifying aura, why would the source of the data plateau here?”

”The pheromones in this city are somewhat peculiar,” Black Rose remarked.

”So creepy, why would the data source stay here? These people will end up playing themselves into oblivion,” Aramaki replied unsatisfyingly.

”Let’s go meet your contact, and after that, I’ll take care of things my way.”

The two walked openly on the street like that, but no one saw them, or even perceived them.
