Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

The fallen piles instantly blocked the few Zombies behind, but soon, as the number of Zombies behind increased, the fallen obstacles were slowly being pushed forward.

Uncle Wan watched Dongfeng from the top floor on the fifth level. His idea was simple: if he used these pieces of furniture and threw them down, they would roll and tumble down to the fourth floor.

However, if Zombies blocked below, it would form a blockade. Throwing more and more things down, they could gradually accumulate, forming a protective isolation layer made of furniture.

Zombies would need to exert an immense force to break through such a barricade made of accumulated furniture.

Apart from the points formed by the angular corners between the stairs, the weight of the furniture itself and the fact that it’s being piled from top down, this would require a significant amount of force.

Once again, Dongfeng pushed the pile on the east side backward.

Unexpectedly, this push shook the obstacles on the road ahead.

Crash—

A few tables immediately fell down, blocking the last path leading upstairs.

In an instant.

Dongfeng was stuck in the middle.

Behind him was a heap of piled-up objects, and behind the pile were Zombies.

In front of him were fallen piles, and his goal was to pass through them to reach upstairs.

Caught in a pincer attack.

Dongfeng regretted it, realizing he shouldn’t have been so careless; accidentally shaking down the front pile too.

But if he hadn’t pulled down the side pile moments ago, he might have been caught by the Zombies!

Seeing this, Uncle Wan was extremely anxious.

He rushed over and forcefully moved the table blocking the stairs to the side, clearing a path for passage.

Originally intended to block Zombies from rushing up, these obstructions now became a hindrance for Dongfeng to reach upstairs.

Due to their efforts to increase the barricading effect, they had moved a lot of things onto the stairs earlier, leaving only a path wide enough for one person to pass through.

Because of this, after Uncle Wan went to help, the people upstairs could only watch in anxiety as the area was so small. Adding another person might hinder movement, and possibly make things worse rather than help.

Dongfeng was anxious, yet he understood it wasn’t the time for impatience.

The roars behind sounded as if they were right by his ear.

Moreover, the Zombies were stacking higher and higher, starting to touch some of the obstacles on top of the stairs.

If these blocking materials fell, he would be doomed.

He would be completely buried under these obstacles and watch the Zombies climb over.

He steadied his mind, no longer frantic.

Gradually, he lifted the obstacles in front and tossed them backward.

Suddenly, a table behind him, pushed by the Zombies, struck his back, causing him to stumble forward.

He sprawled on the stairs!

He looked up!

Hmm?

The obstacles that had fallen in front earlier were blocked by the stair’s handrail when they toppled.

Thus, a gap existed beneath the handrail.

Crawl through!

Acting on impulse!

Without hesitation, Dongfeng awkwardly crawled through the gap.

Just as he crawled through the gap, the obstacles behind him fell onto the exact spot he had just been standing.

Exactly striking the position he had occupied.

Dongfeng, disregarding his good fortune, hurriedly crawled forward.

Up ahead, Uncle Wan, seeing Dongfeng crawl through the gap, smiled with relief and quickly moved upstairs to make room for Dongfeng.

Very quickly, Dongfeng scrambled out.

Crash—

The obstacles behind him all fell down, wedging into the spot where he had previously stood; Zombies climbed over from the piled-up ground.

If he hadn’t crawled through earlier, he might have been buried under the obstacles by the Zombies now.

Dongfeng only glanced for a second before rushing upstairs.

Fortunately, the next half of the stairs posed no problems.

Tap-tap—

He finally stepped onto the top floor.

Almost as soon as he reached the top floor, Uncle Wan and the others started tossing things down onto the stairs.

Tables, chairs, trash cans, fans, glass cabinets, guitars, all sorts of things were thrown down.

Crashing onto the Zombies climbing up.

The entire staircase quickly filled up visibly.

But due to the push of the Zombies, these items slightly trembled.

Uncle Wan wedged the last chair onto the stairs, then closed the iron door on the top floor.

Thud!

After closing it, Dongfeng found a steel pipe from somewhere and jammed it between the handle and the nearby horizontal bar.

Securing the door.

This door wasn’t the robust all-metal one used in buildings, but the kind often used in residential houses, secured by spiral screws behind the scenes.

If subjected to immense external force, it might be forced open.

Thus, they thought of using various pieces of furniture to block the Zombies.

Zombies lacked intelligence; they wouldn’t methodically move the furniture aside, only mindlessly charging forward. So when these Zombies charge, the furniture and walls, stairs, handrails, and bizarrely shaped furniture could wedge between the walls and stairs to resist the Zombie’s impact.

Otherwise, relying solely on this door, it might easily be forced open by Zombies.

Thud!

The door seemed to be pounded by furniture, driven by the force of Zombies pushing it.

But with the furniture blocking, it was much less force than Zombies directly ramming the iron door.

Just in case, Dongfeng and the others stacked the various items they moved to the top floor behind the iron door.
