Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

This world isn’t lacking in those who realize the brutal nature of reality, yet still find the courage to fight.

Miracles do happen, but they belong to special events.

More often, people give their all but still can’t break free, and such situations are even more common.

People need good examples to support their beliefs and to inspire them.

But in the face of overwhelming disparity in power, it’s easy to crumble.

Dongfeng used a spear to fiercely pierce a zombie’s skull, sighing internally. If they hadn’t lingered in this place initially and fled into the deep mountains and forests, maybe they wouldn’t have encountered so many zombies.

But if they had stayed in the mountains and forests all the time, without returning to dig up the crops buried by volcanic ash here, they would have starved to death long ago.

Between a rock and a hard place.

Furthermore, even if they hid in the mountains, it would be hard to find a shelter that could protect them from the severe cold.

Zombies increasingly flooded in, and casualties soon emerged on their side.

The extremely cold weather already made them suffer bitterly, and it’s hard to fight zombies for long in such temperatures.

Some people’s faces and hands had frostbite, with large cracks, causing unbearable pain when exposed to the cold air.

But they endured.

If not, what could they do, accept death?

Dongfeng watched as a comrade to his right was pulled down from the wall by zombies and was immediately swallowed up in the Zombie Tide.

Eyes wide with anger.

He swung his spear more fiercely, but the number of zombies was despairing.

At 2 PM, the sun could be seen in the sky.

Yet it brought them little warmth, in this cold world.

......

More and more people died.

Thud——

A zombie flipped over the wall, followed by the second, and a third.

Zombies increasingly unstoppable breached the inner wall.

Under siege from inside and outside, casualties rapidly increased.

Seeing this, Dongfeng immediately shouted to everyone: ”Back to the house, everyone back to the house.”

They fought while retreating.

All ran towards the house, but during the escape, two or three more were caught by the zombies and fell prey to them.

With so many zombies, even if they killed some, dispersing a few to feast, there were just too many zombies, and those who couldn’t get close turned and chased them.

By the time they entered the building, only a little over thirty survived.

Just within that moment, their numbers had halved.

They didn’t stop on the first floor but rushed to the second floor.

Stopping at the staircase, they used the narrow space to intercept the zombies.

Dongfeng and three other relatively strong young men guarded the stairway.

Thud——

Dongfeng stabbed a zombie to death. The zombie collapsed, and the one beside hesitated briefly, looking at Dongfeng and the others from two meters away, then at the ”food” nearby. It didn’t advance further but feasted on the fallen one.

But as it crouched to eat, the zombies pressing in from behind pushed it up.

Uncle Wan pushed a table and shouted to the others: ”Find something, block these zombies! Quick, quick, quick!”

Everyone snapped out of their daze and hurriedly shoved everything from the second floor to the stairway.

There was even a huge glass table, weighing over two hundred pounds, which was rammed into the rolling Zombie Tide.

Rolling!

The zombies were famished, with an extreme hunger for food. Some bent down to eat their fallen fellows, while those from behind pushed forward.

In the chaos, many zombies were simply pushed forward.

With the barricade in place, the zombie flood was momentarily stalled.

But soon, as more zombies surged upward, these objects were slowly pushed up.

”Hold it!” Dongfeng yelled.

Then three or four strong young men immediately pressed against the barrier.

Seeing this, the others quickly ran over to help hold the barricade.

Between them and the zombies were a mess of things: tables, chairs, sofas, curtains, shelves, a broken fridge.....

The staircase sloped at forty-five degrees, so Dongfeng and the others held the high ground with the weight of these objects and everyone’s effort obstructing the advancing zombies.

For a moment, the zombies couldn’t push through.

Deadlock!

Uncle Wan saw this, breathed a sigh of relief, and then ran to the window to look down, seeing the dense mass of zombies streaming into the house.

But soon, the first-floor space was completely filled with zombies.

So the zombies repeated what happened on the wall, still crowding from afar, slowly stacking up on the first floor.

And faster than on the wall.

After all, inside the walls, the enclosing was vast, with zombies converging from all sides.

Whereas the five-and-a-half-story building they occupied was less than one hundred fifty square meters.

”Dongfeng, the zombies downstairs are stacking again. At this rate, they’ll soon reach the second floor. Why don’t we move upstairs?” Uncle Wan, contemplating the situation, shouted to Dongfeng.

Dongfeng glanced around the already somewhat empty second floor and at the piled objects, a new plan forming in his mind.
