Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Based on the slope of the stairs, and the weight of the furniture along with our efforts to obstruct, perhaps we can block the zombies from surging up the stairs.

So I shouted to Uncle Wan, ”Okay, Uncle Wan, you guys lead them to move everything from inside the building to the top floor as soon as possible, and also move all the firewood we have stored on the second floor to the top floor. We will hide directly on the top floor later!”

Upon hearing this, Uncle Wan didn’t hesitate at all and shouted to the anxious crowd, ”Move the stuff!”

The potential that humans can unleash is immense.

Even though they were already extremely exhausted, at this moment they seemed to have found a hope to survive.

They all ran to the firewood room, trying to carry as much firewood as possible, and dashed up the stairs.

This building is the residential building here, the most luxurious rural house constructed around this area.

In the post-apocalyptic world, many small teams choose to stay in the city because they can use high-rise buildings to avoid zombie sieges, a building over a hundred meters high won’t be stacked by zombies unless it encounters the most terrifying Zombie Tide.

Small teams usually only consist of three to five people, at most a dozen, small in number, lacking enough presence, thus attracting fewer zombies.

Therefore, cities are suitable for small teams.

But once the number exceeds thirty, a relatively large presence is gathered, which would attract zombies from further away; besides, with more people, they must solve the food crisis, so they choose to be in rural areas or the suburbs.

Fewer zombies, and they can think of ways to cultivate some crops.

.....

Their location being Poyang Lake, dozens of kilometers away from the city, they initially thought there would be fewer zombies, but this time the extreme cold froze over Poyang Lake.

Many zombies from the northern part of Poyang Lake, including those in the lake, all came out.

Plus, right after the snowstorm ended, the hungry zombies suddenly surged in.....

Uncle Wan hurriedly ran to the third floor, saw the log furniture on the third floor, and called three people to lift it together to the middle section of the stairs on the fifth floor, leaving a path barely wide enough for one person to pass through.

After moving this heavy object, Uncle Wan rushed downstairs again.

All of them were racing against time, trying to move as many things as possible to the fifth floor before the zombies could stack up to the second floor.

The stacking speed of zombies decreases with height.

Because support is needed, the zombies formed a slope like a small hill.

Everyone was running at their fastest speed, and while running, because of the thick clothes they were wearing, sweat seeped out from their backs, and the whole person seemed steaming, as if on fire.

Meanwhile, the sweat on their faces, where the clothes didn’t cover, quickly froze into icicles.

These icicles were abnormally uncomfortable on their faces.

Their mouths froze to a purplish color, every warm breath blowing onto the dangling icicles.

And every breath of cold air they inhaled felt like a knife stabbing their lungs and throats.

Breathing was like an old, broken air pump, wheezing and puffing.

But at least due to their movement, their bodies hadn’t frozen, and their feet stayed warm to avoid freezing to death easily.

They persisted in such extreme cold temperatures for a long time.

......

Racing against time.

Eighteen minutes later, Tie Tou, holding firewood, suddenly saw a zombie climbing over from the balcony and shouted to everyone, ”A zombie has climbed up!”

Upon hearing this, Dongfeng immediately shouted to everyone still moving, ”Upstairs, upstairs!”

In eighteen minutes, other than Dongfeng and his four companions, the remaining thirty people in a very short time had emptied more than half of the firewood storage room.

Some things from the third, fourth, and fifth floors that could be used to block zombies were all moved to the top floor and the stairs on the fifth floor.

Seven or eight people on the second floor quickly ran upstairs, shouting to remind those still on the third and fourth floors to hurry up to the top floor.

After seeing everyone from the second floor run up, Dongfeng felt his shoulders relax slightly, grabbed a chair, and knocked away the zombie climbing up to the second floor.

His spear had already fallen to the first floor, so he could only use whatever he could find.

After knocking away that zombie, Dongfeng saw more zombies climbing in from the balcony!

”Go!” Dongfeng shouted to the few people beside him holding up the furniture.

Several people simultaneously let go to release the weight.

Clatter—

The furniture, which had reached a balanced state, was instantly forced upward.

The five of them immediately ran upstairs.

Rumble—

Dongfeng reached the stairs to the third floor and saw that all the barriers on the second floor instantly collapsed, just like dung beetles rolling dung balls, rolling the furniture down to the second floor.

More and more zombies rushed over from the second-floor balcony.

The zombie originally knocked to the ground with a chair was now getting up again, less than two meters away from him.

Balcony, second-floor steps, countless zombies surged over.

A sight that made one’s scalp tingle with fear.

Dongfeng didn’t dare to stop and ran upstairs like mad.

Third floor, no one.

Fourth floor, no one.

His group of five were the last ones up, and they soon reached the fifth-floor stairs.

Various densely packed furniture piled up everywhere, with only one path barely wide enough for a person to pass through.

The five squeezed through this gap.

Dongfeng was at the rear.

Less than two meters behind Dongfeng, the zombies were chasing closely.

Dongfeng reached the fifth-floor stairs and saw all kinds of barricades ahead of him.

He moved forward while pushing the piled items to his rear.
