Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

”Stupid deer.” Li Yu couldn’t help but laugh.

This deer was originally timid by nature, but after being infected by the Zombie Virus, it became so reckless.

Having regained its stance, the deer seemed unwilling to give up, taking two steps back again and charging at the sturdy wall once more.

Thud—

Li Yu glanced at it twice before ignoring it.

The wall they built was several meters thick, reinforced concrete with an additional thick steel plate sandwiched in the middle. Even if this deer crashed into it until it died, it couldn’t do much damage to the wall.

Watching this comical scene, Third Uncle looked amused.

Li Yu admired Third Uncle a bit; his physique was indeed extremely robust. Despite staying on the wall for such a long time with him, he showed no signs of discomfort.

From the distance, more zombies were coming.

Li Yu occasionally took out the crossbow to shoot some zombies, trying to stop them from reaching the base of the wall.

But as time went by, more zombies kept coming from further away.

Gradually, a small hill of zombies began to pile up below the wall.

Li Tie and the others, who had rested for half an hour, recovered and came out of the duty room, saying to Li Yu, ”Big Brother, should we continue using the same method to lure the zombies to the woods over there?”

Li Yu thought for a moment and said, ”Send out the drone to attract some zombies far away.”

Upon hearing this, Li Tie nodded immediately and said, ”Okay, Big Brother.”

Although using the drone to attract only a portion of the zombies away would reduce the number under the wall.

The zombies attracted away by the drone would eventually return to the wall.

It’s like walking a dog, continuously luring the zombies away, returning, and luring away again...

But as the number of zombies increases, this method will become less effective.

Li Tie returned to the duty room to operate the drone and fly it out.

Other people who had rested in the duty room went back to the wall to start the zombie-killing game again.

The stock of arrows was quite large. Occasionally using them wouldn’t let them sit unused for too long, where the wooden shaft arrows could become moldy and rotten.

Looking at these zombies outside the wall, Li Yu felt somewhat numb.

An endless stream of zombies, impossible to kill them all.

After staying on the wall for a while, he returned to the duty room and, together with everyone, formulated a battle plan against the zombies, mainly rotating outside using the crossbow to consume some arrows stored for quite a while.

The current Zombie Tide, with its current scale, still couldn’t affect them much.

Even if more zombies came later, they could use the switch blade to prevent zombies from climbing up.

With the electricity generated by the zombie generator, it could definitely support the mobile switch blade for 24 hours.

Speaking of electricity, recently, Li Hang, Zhou Ran, and the others produced 400 more zombie generators. Together with the previously made generators, there were already as many as 1200, and the power generated was fully sufficient for all needs at the Big Camphor Tree Base.

After reaching this number, they temporarily stopped the production of zombie generators, as there was no way to store the produced electricity.

They had already filled all the batteries with electricity.

Aside from the daily power needs of the base, there was still some excess.

To avoid wasting this excess power, Second Uncle and others had to keep the factories running, continuously producing processed food.

.......

Poyang Lake.

After the snow stopped, people cheered momentarily, glad the snow had ceased.

But, shortly after the wind and snow ended, more and more zombies appeared inside the outer wall.

Slowly, they moved closer to the inner wall.

”Dongfeng Bro! A lot, a lot of zombies are coming from outside!” A young man rushed into the room after pushing the door open.

There were fewer of them now than before, once numbering over a thousand, but now only sixty remained, yet they still had to watch out for zombie attacks.

So they sent two people to the top-floor to survey the surrounding situation.

Despite not having a fire inside, it was warmer than outside, allowing them to endure a bit longer.

Upon hearing the news, Dongfeng jumped up immediately.

He put on his hat, called everyone, and walked outside the wall.

But when he climbed the inner wall ladder and stood on it to look at the situation outside, he couldn’t help but gasp.

Gasp—

Other adult males, too, spread around the inner wall to look outside.

A black mass of zombie tide, trampling on the white snow, slowly approached.

This scale of zombies was slightly fewer than those during the last acid rain.

Yet, it was still terrifying.

Moreover, now they only had sixty people.

A series of wails echoed, this weather posed a great challenge and torment.

Under the natural disasters, zombies with skin turned white under high temperatures were even harder to kill than before.

It’s as if everything was meant to wipe out humans, making survival conditions harsher, as zombies adapt to the environment much faster than humans.

Natural selection, survival of the fittest.

Can humans find a way to live?

Dongfeng didn’t know.

But he knew that the sixty of them might not have a way out at this moment.

Extreme cold at minus sixty degrees, along with the terrifying Zombie Tide.

And what did they have?

Only a wall less than four meters high, and sixty undernourished, weak individuals, with one-fifth being elders and children.

Adult males numbered under forty.

On the wall, there were cries of sorrow.

”Are we doomed?”

A short sobbing sound echoed.

”Never thought we wouldn’t freeze to death, yet would end up being bitten by zombies! I really don’t want to die!”

”So many zombies, how can we possibly fight them off!”

”Sigh, and it’s so cold. Barely out for a few minutes and my hands are feeling numb from the cold.”

”Me too, maybe dying would release us from all this.”

......

Hearing the wall mates constantly speak pessimistically, Dongfeng wanted to say something encouraging, to stir up enthusiasm and rouse them.

But, looking at this bewildering massive zombie group, his hands trembled a little.

It’s not that he doesn’t want to speak, but what would saying anything accomplish?

In the end, it would still be death!

He was also in despair.

Despair spread throughout the inner wall.

”Dongfeng Bro, say a few words!” A young man next to him said.

”Yeah, yeah, Dongfeng Bro!” others who heard the pessimistic comments felt troubled.

No one wants to die.

Dongfeng, looking at these zombies, had a thousand things to say, but couldn’t say a single word.

He couldn’t say it, anticipating the future, unable to convince himself, so how could he convince others?

His spirit was dispelled.

Suddenly, a group of people came out from the central house.

Thirteen-year-old Tie Tou holding a spear, Zhao Jie in her forties wrapped in a scarf and bundled up like a dumpling, Uncle Liu hobbling on crutches...

They were all members with weaker combat abilities.

Yet now, they all came out.

Seeing their unwavering determination, Dongfeng’s blood seemed ignited.

Death, so what!

Even knowing the end is failure, so what!

Even knowing you can’t win, so what!

Even if death, one should die with dignity.

To protect, to protect the people behind him.

At this moment, Dongfeng’s face swept away its decadence.

Holding up the spear high, he roared angrily:

”Fuck the Doomsday, fuck the zombies!”

The voice was loud, rough, and heroic.

In this cold world, this roar seemed to break through heaven and earth.

”Fuck the Doomsday, fuck the zombies!”

Dozens of people shouted in unison; sometimes, only swearing could stir one’s blood.

Rather drop dead than die.

Marching toward death!

At this moment, everyone brushed away their inner timidity.

At this moment, everyone forgot life and death.

At this moment, everyone was filled with anger.

They hated the apocalypse and the unkind heavens.

But, they will never give up the courage to resist.

Fight until death.

Roar roar roar—

More and more zombies gathered in the outer wall, blocking the outer part of the inner wall.

And as time went by, the zombie tide piled up higher and higher.
