Chapter 97: Super Ancient Alakazam

”Gardevoir, Mega Evolution!”

Ash pressed the key stone in his hand.

”Pikachu, use Thunderbolt! Gardevoir, Dazzling Gleam!”

With Ash’s Aura protection, Pikachu didn’t hesitate to rush in front of Gengar and unleash a close-range attack, and Gardevoir did the same.

The two skills, released at close range, caused considerable damage to Gengar.

Having been dormant for a long time, Gengar was actually similar to Ancient Dragonite; neither had fully recovered to their peak strength.

Of course, it wasn’t just passively taking hits; Gengar raised its hands and conjured two Shadow Balls, throwing them at Pikachu and Gardevoir. Pikachu and the others reacted quickly and easily dodged them.

”Pikachu, you two hold it off for now.”

After Ash finished speaking, he inserted the spoon in his hand into the gap in the middle of the Golden Eye.

As the two items combined, a powerful Psychic force erupted from within the Golden Eye. Ash threw the item away just a second before the Psychic force burst forth.

Following a flash of light, a giant Alakazam, covered in strange patterns, appeared before Ash.

Pokémon: Ancient Alakazam

Attribute: Psychic

Gender: Male

Level: Quasi-Champion (Secondary God)

Divine Position: None

Ability: Inner Focus

Aptitude: Secondary God

Skills: Calm Mind, Disable, Psybeam, Telekinesis, Teleport, Barrier, Night Shade, Substitute, Reflect, Psychic, Hyper Beam, Dazzling Gleam, Yang Yingqiu, Protect, Rest, Dream Eater, Fire Punch.....

The appearance of Ancient Alakazam caused a significant change in the weather of the entire back mountain.

Down the mountain, at Professor Oak’s Laboratory.

”Is that...?”

Oak looked towards the back mountain with some Telekinesis; he seemed to remember Ash and Bill being up there.

The next second, Ash’s other Pokémon, except for those currently undergoing Team Rockets’ special training, all ran towards Pallet Town’s back mountain.

Accompanying them was that gluttonous Mew, who purely sensed something fun happening in Pallet Town’s back mountain and ran over.

”That’s...”

Watching the pink figure disappear into the distance, Oak’s eyes widened in shock.

No wonder Ash was so good to that oddly behaving Pikachu; it turned out that guy was Mew in disguise.

Thinking of this, Oak felt inexplicably annoyed. Was he so untrustworthy? That was Mew, after all. This kid Ash really wasn’t obedient at all.

Unlike Mew, who was just watching the show, Ash’s Pokémon sensed a formidable opponent on the mountain.

”Mewtwo, I choose you!”

To be safe, Ash released Mewtwo.

After emerging from its Poké Ball, Mewtwo first gave Ash a cold glance, then took two steps forward, positioning itself between Ash and Alakazam.

During this time, Mewtwo had discovered that Ash was indeed different from other humans, genuinely treating Pokémon as family and companions. While it acknowledged this, Mewtwo was still very bothered by the group beating that day.

Why was it bothered? Naturally, it felt humiliated by being utterly defeated by a human like Ash, which was why it kept a cold face and didn’t give Ash a good look.

Fortunately, Ancient Alakazam had no intention of attacking Ash. Upon seeing its old rival, Super Ancient Gengar, it grabbed the two large iron spoons in its hands and gave Gengar a blunt strike.

Gengar, ambushed by Alakazam, crashed headfirst into the rock wall. It looked up and saw that Alakazam was the one who had ambushed it. It no longer cared about Pikachu and Gardevoir, opening its large mouth and extending its huge tongue to lick Alakazam.

After being licked, Alakazam immediately Teleported behind Gengar, crossing its two spoons and unleashing a Psybeam.

Gengar bared its fangs, gathering energy with both hands and firing a Shadow Ball in retaliation.

The two skills converged in mid-air, miraculously merging and extending towards the sky.

The originally pitch-black sky, due to the interference of these two forces, revealed a strange space.

”Is that the Gate to Another World described on the stone tablets? If this continues, it might be difficult to contain.” Ash decided not to watch anymore. He commanded Mewtwo: ”Mewtwo, Psychic! Interrupt them!”

Mewtwo, with a look of disdain, attacked Gengar and Alakazam.

Boom!

After an explosion, Alakazam and Gengar’s power struggle was forcibly interrupted, and the Gate to Another World, which had opened a slight crack in the sky, closed again due to the interruption of the skills.

”This time, I’m going to catch you all at once! Dragonite, Zapdos, Moltres, come out!”

To end the battle quickly, Ash opened all the Master Balls he had.

As Ancient Dragonite appeared, seeing the two Pokémon from her own era, her eyes became a little moist. Ash really hadn’t lied to her; there were indeed companions from her time still in this world.

As for Gengar and Alakazam, upon seeing Dragonite, their eyes were filled with Telekinesis. They couldn’t recall any Dragonite habitats in this vicinity.

”Pikachu, Thunderbolt; Dragonite, Hyper Beam; Moltres, Flamethrower, attack Alakazam.

Gardevoir, use Psychic; Zapdos, Zap Cannon; Mewtwo, Swift, attack Gengar!”

Ash quickly issued attack commands.

Six Pokémon simultaneously unleashed their moves, launching a barrage of attacks on Gengar and Alakazam.

Due to their size, Alakazam and Gengar had no chance to dodge; they were both directly hit by Pikachu and the others’ skills.

”Gengar!!”

Feeling the pain on its body, Gengar angrily launched a Shadow Ball at Ash.

”Mew?”

Mew, who was watching the show, saw Gengar’s unfair tactics and immediately appeared in front of Ash, creating a barrier to Protect him.

Ash, who had taken a defensive stance but hadn’t felt Gengar’s attack, looked up and exclaimed, ”Mew, why are you here?”

”I sensed something fun here, so I came to see. Ash, are you going to catch those two guys?” Mew asked.

”Yes, I’m confident I can defeat them. Oh, by the way, Mew, can you watch over this large bell for me? There’s an even more troublesome Pokémon sleeping inside.”

Ash didn’t intend to let Mew interfere; after all, he had started this battle himself, and he wanted to see what he could achieve if he went all out.

”Alright, but you must be careful, Ash.”

Mew was quite attentive to Ash, the Aura Guardian. After all, Ash’s abilities were strong, more than twice as powerful as the Aura Guardian it had seen back then, and he also possessed the powers of multiple deities.

”Don’t worry, as long as the Pokémon inside this bell doesn’t come out too quickly, with Dragonite and Mewtwo here, I’m definitely the one who will win this battle.” Ash said confidently.

”Hmm, by the way, Ash, your other companions have also arrived.” Mew pointed in the direction of Professor Oak’s Laboratory and reminded him.

”Yes, I know.”
