Pokemon: Reborn As Ash, I'll Conquer Every League

Chapter 56: Chapter 56 Monkey

Chapter 56 Monkey

”You won. This is the Saffron gym badge.”

Sabrina handed a gym badge to Ash.

”Thank you.”

After taking the gym badge, Ash pinned it to the inside of his clothes.

”Ash, can you tell me about your Psychic?” Sabrina asked somewhat hesitantly.

It was her first time meeting someone with Psychic stronger than her, and she had no ability to resist at all. Since childhood, her father had always told her that her Psychic talent was the strongest, but today’s encounter really made her doubt if her father had lied to her.

”I awakened Aura. Perhaps it’s because I started training from a young age that I’m a bit stronger than you.” A blue light appeared in Ash’s hand.

He didn’t mention that he had awakened Viridian Power and Psychic; it’s always better to keep more trump cards hidden.

”Aura?! No wonder...”

As a Psychic, Sabrina naturally knew that there were several other special Psychic abilities in this world, and she had heard of Aura as the most unique among them.

Upon learning that Ash had awakened Aura, Sabrina’s favorable impression of Ash instantly reached its peak. The two chatted and became friends, and Ash also took the opportunity to subtly inquire about how Sabrina trained her Psychic. After all, the ability to turn people into dolls was truly too abnormal.

Unconsciously, dusk was approaching.

Just as Ash and the others were about to bid farewell to Sabrina, Sabrina’s father returned, accompanied by an interesting Haunter.

”Ash, remember to come find me when you visit Saffron City next time~” Sabrina leaned close to Ash’s ear and whispered.

”Definitely next time, but Sabrina, you should also go out and explore, make more friends. The outside world is also very exciting!” Ash advised.

Sabrina possessed powerful Psychic abilities, and her potential was at least Elite, if not Champion. If she stayed cooped up in Saffron City, it would be a waste of her talent.

”I’ll consider it.”

”Ash, this is the Pokemon I promised you before. Please accept it!” Sabrina’s father handed Ash a yellowish-white Pokemon egg.

[Aptitude: Elite]

[Skill: Teleport]

”Thank you, Uncle!”

Ash didn’t stand on ceremony and directly took the egg.

....

The next day, Ash and the others left Saffron City with the rising sun, heading towards Celadon City.

Upon reaching the wild, Ash released almost all of his captured Pokemon, letting them find wild Pokemon to battle and gain experience.

His current Pokemon’s strength still had a significant gap. The Giant Onix had already fully exploited its current potential, so before departing, he equipped Onix with a Metal Coat and sent it to Professor Oak for temporary fostering. After evolving into Steelix, its size was still several times that of its peers, and its strength also leaped to Elite level.

The Feebas was also on the verge of evolution. Ash could almost confirm that with just one more deep session of PUA, Feebas would be able to evolve into Milotic.

A few hours later.

Accompanied by a rumbling Growl, Brock began to transform into a chef, setting up to make lunch on the spot. ”Today’s lunch is rice balls and vegetable soup.”

”Yay!” Misty exclaimed excitedly.

While Brock was busy, Ash took out various energy cubes and fed them to his Pokemon.

In a few hours, except for Riolu, which had just hatched and still needed time, all other Pokemon had engaged in no less than ten battles. The most diligent among them was Charmander, fighting fifteen battles, two of which were 1v2.

”Everyone gets some, everyone gets some, don’t rush.” Ash poured food while soothing them.

When it was Pikachu’s turn, Ash asked, ”Pikachu, do you want energy cubes or Brock’s food?”

”Pika?”

Pikachu rubbed its belly and looked at the still-busy Brock, its meaning clear: it wanted to wait for Brock’s feeding.

”Alright.”

Ash waved his hand helplessly.

He really didn’t understand why this guy, clearly a Pokemon, preferred human food.

Brock worked quickly, and soon the lunch was ready.

Just as the three began to enjoy their delicious meal, a Mankey lunged from the nearby bushes, aiming directly for a plate of rice balls on the table.

”Pika!”

Seeing someone trying to snatch food, Pikachu immediately blocked in front of the rice balls.

Mankey, seeing that Pikachu wasn’t giving it face and wanted to stop it, charged forward with its head.

Pikachu didn’t tolerate it either, flicking its tail and giving Mankey a powerful Iron Tail.

The hungry Mankey was not knocked down by Pikachu’s Iron Tail. It shook its head and stood up again.

Seeing this, Pikachu wanted to use Thunderbolt to finish it off.

Ash quickly stopped Pikachu: ”Pikachu, don’t mess around. Mankey is just hungry, it doesn’t mean any harm.”

”Pika Pika Pi!” (Being hungry doesn’t mean it can take our lunch!)

”Uh...”

Ash didn’t expect Pikachu to have such a protective attitude towards food.

”It’s fine, I made a lot of rice balls, it should be enough for everyone,” Brock said.

Hearing this, Ash immediately invited Mankey: ”Mankey, come join us!”

He knew this Mankey was the one that idiot had captured in the original story, but it was later fostered in a fighting arena and had no further appearances.

Of course, this Mankey also indirectly proved to James that he indeed possessed the ’Foot of Evolution’.

While Mankey was eating, Ash took the opportunity to check Mankey’s stats.

[Pokemon: Mankey]

[Gender: Male]

[Level: Elite Advanced]

[Ability: Defiant]

[Aptitude: Elite]

[Skills: Scratch, Glare, Focus Energy, Fury Swipes, Seismic Toss, Cross Chop, Assurance, Outrage, Body Slam, Double-Edge, Counter (inherited)...]

”Heh heh, idiot, no wonder you couldn’t become Champion in so many regions.”

Ash couldn’t help but exclaim as he looked at the rich skill panel.

If this Mankey were properly trained and not released, it would at least be a pseudo-Elite level fighter by the Indigo Plateau Conference. The Indigo Plateau Conference was a ’baby cup,’ so a pseudo-Elite level fighter would be an absolute massacre, right?

As soon as he finished eating, Ash eagerly tried to coax it: ”Mankey, do you want to join my team? If you join, you’ll get three meals a day, and I can help you become stronger.”

”Man~ Man Man”

Mankey hopped forward a few times, striking a battle pose.

Ash chuckled, ”Okay, you want to battle me, right?”

”Man~” Mankey nodded.

”No problem!”

As soon as Ash responded, the system’s prompt sound rang in his mind.
