Pokemon: Reborn As Ash, I'll Conquer Every League

Chapter 75: Chapter 75 Laughing Stock

Chapter 75 Laughing Stock

Once the buff was confirmed to be active, Ash didn’t follow Goh anymore and returned to the main group.

On the way, he chuckled uncontrollably while looking at the recorded footage.

Misty saw Ash staring at something and laughing non-stop, and asked curiously, ”Ash, what are you laughing at?”

”Nothing much, it’s just that the recorder seemed to have captured something interesting. Oh, right, Todd, I remember you often submit articles to a certain journal, don’t you? Do they accept videos of people’s unlucky moments?” Ash asked, looking at the young man who had been filming with a camera.

”Unlucky moments of humans? There is such a category. I heard the person in charge there talk about it. It seems it was started by a child a few years ago. At that time, the Pokémon League thought it was very educational, so they treated it as a warning.

However, later, more media captured interesting footage, and the nature of it changed from just a warning to having an element of fun.

Ash, did you capture some incredible video?” Todd was also very curious.

After interacting for the past few days, he found that Ash’s filming skills were better than his, and his equipment’s clarity was also superior to his.

”You guys take a look.”

Ash handed the recorder to the others, letting them watch it in turns.

A few minutes later.

Giselle’s expression was very complicated. The protagonist in this video was the unlucky person from their school. It was truly embarrassing!

The others felt: ”So there are people this unlucky in the world!”

”How is it? Todd, if you submit this, will it boost your popularity?”

Ash naturally hoped to help Goh out. After all, he couldn’t be a Trainer anymore, so let him be a ’Cursed’ star. At least he would be a celebrity.

”It’s possible, but this was filmed by you, Ash. It would be awkward if I took it.”

Ash waved his hand and said, ”It’s fine, we’re all friends. If you really feel bad, just treat us to a meal.”

”Alright, then after you finish the exam, I’ll treat you to a meal!”

With that, Todd copied the video.

Soon, the first exam began.

”The first exam is to test your knowledge of Pokémon!”

”Then let’s begin!”

The examiner stood on the podium and said to Ash and the others.

Question one: Lickitung’s tongue is twice its body length.

True or False?

Midway through the first exam, a person emitting a peculiar smell burst through the door in a rolling manner.

That’s right, the person who suddenly broke in was, of course, Goh.

Not long after Ash left, the buff on Goh completely took effect. After tasting that pile of excrement, he wanted to rinse his mouth, but on the way to find a faucet, he stepped on a banana peel and fell directly into a trash can.

After finally climbing out, he hadn’t walked two steps when he saw a small Mankey holding a bunch of bananas. He immediately blamed the Mankey for littering the banana peel, and in a fit of anger, he kicked it... The result was that the Mankey lost its bananas, and he was also thrown into an even smellier trash can by the Mankey.

After climbing out again, he was mistaken for one of their own by several Grimer and dragged towards the sewer.

After enduring countless hardships, Goh, dragging his foul-smelling body, arrived at this classroom. However, fate still thought he wasn’t miserable enough, so as he was about to knock on the door, he directly tripped over his own feet and rolled into the room in a clumsy manner.

”Who are you? Don’t you know there’s an exam going on here?” The examiner pinched his nose and questioned him in a stern tone.

Goh didn’t have time to groan, afraid of being expelled by the examiner for causing trouble. He loudly replied, ”Uh... Hello, Examiner, I’m Goh from Vermilion City, and I’m here for the exam!”

The examiner frowned, ”Exam? Although the examination center doesn’t explicitly specify what examinees should wear, you can’t come in with this kind of ’makeup’, can you?”

Goh suppressed his inner displeasure and explained, ”Uh, there was a bit of an accident just now when I was looking for the exam room!”

The examiner pulled out a Poké Ball: ”Vaporeon, clean him up.”

As Vaporeon appeared, seeing Goh’s dishevelled appearance, it was full of disdain. However, it couldn’t disobey its Trainer’s command, so it shot out a stream of water to wash Goh’s body.

”Since you’re late, the first round of the exam has already ended, so your score for the first round is 0. This means that in the following rounds, you must score above 90 points to pass the assessment.

Now, go sit in that spot!”

Saying that, the examiner pointed to an empty seat for Goh.

Goh walked over, and as soon as he sat down, the chair broke, and he landed on the ground with a thud, his back of the head hitting the solid wood table in the back row hard.

”Ouch!”

Seeing Goh’s miserable situation, Ash couldn’t stop laughing. Everyone in the exam room was covering their mouths and roaring with laughter.

Even the examiner couldn’t help but chuckle.

For the next ten minutes, Goh continued to have mishaps, causing most people to lose focus on answering the questions.

Given that these situations were not intentionally caused by Goh, the examiner had no intention of expelling him. After all, invigilating was a boring task, and with some entertainment finally available, who would want to miss it?

Second round of the exam.

”The second exam will test your understanding of Pokémon! Here, we will show you the shadow and a part of a Pokémon’s body. You must accurately name the Pokémon.”

”The first question is, what is this?”

Figure 1

”This is either Voltorb or Electrode!” Goh said confidently.

”Bumpkin, this is Jigglypuff viewed from above!” Ash said disdainfully.

He had seen countless memes of this picture!

”Tsk, who are you kidding? How can a Pokémon like Jigglypuff be so round?” Goh was a hundred percent unconvinced!

”That’s right, this is Jigglypuff viewed from above!” The examiner directly announced the answer.

”Second question!”

Figure 2

”This blob is the eye of a fainted Pokémon!” Goh confidently submitted his answer.

”Idiot, the examiner is asking which Pokémon it is, and you write ’eye’? Read the question carefully, little brother!” a young man in a leather jacket scoffed.

Suddenly, everyone in the exam room was waiting to see Goh make a fool of himself.
