Pokemon: Reborn As Ash, I'll Conquer Every League

Chapter 87: Chapter 87 Dream Assist to Conquer Mewtwo

Chapter 87 Dream Assist to Conquer Mewtwo

”We are friends, and it’s only right that we help each other. Oh, by the way, Ash, it hasn’t fully recognized you yet! I’ll help you seal some of its power.”

Mew’s mind stirred, and the Master Ball in Ash’s hand floated up. Then, a powerful Aura emanated from Mew, directed naturally at the unconscious Mewtwo inside the Master Ball.

Ash could see from the system panel that Mewtwo’s strength, which was at the level of a first-tier God, was continuously sealed, finally settling at the late Elite stage.

”Alright, its power has been sealed. Ash, you can use your own Aura and the Psychic power I gave you, combined, to unseal its power, or wait for it to fully recognize you, and the seal will automatically be removed,” Mew said.

”Ding, detected host has captured the artificial Pokémon Mewtwo, reward obtained: 100,000 points, Master Ball 5, Rare Candy 5, Mewtwo Mega Evolution ite * 2.”

Hearing the system’s reward notification in his mind, Ash nodded to Mew: ”Understood.”

He knew that when he captured it earlier, Mewtwo wasn’t convinced. Now that Mewtwo’s strength was limited to the late Elite stage, he could easily suppress it, and only then did the system reluctantly consider his mission complete.

Counting Mewtwo, he should now have half a God Beast team: Zapdos, Moltres, and Mewtwo. He would capture Lugia from Vermilion City’s port in a while, and then the Legendary Pokemon Master mission would basically be stress-free.

”By the way, Mew, you’re probably not going back to the World Tree so soon, right?”

”Hmm... this...”

Faced with Ash’s question, Mew was momentarily unsure how to answer. It really didn’t want to go back so soon, but it was too embarrassed to say it, afraid Ash would misunderstand it as an irresponsible Pokémon.

Seeing Mew hesitate, Ash knew this fellow definitely wanted to wander somewhere, so he tempted it: ”Mew, since we last parted, I’ve custom-made a lot of energy cube for you! Do you want to come to my house as a guest?”

Mew circled Ash once and asked, ”Really?”

”Of course, it’s true! We’re friends!”

”Alright then, I accept.”

After speaking, Mew transformed into Pikachu’s appearance, taking its original spot.

”???”

Pikachu looked at Mew in confusion. Was it trying to steal his spot?

Ash reached out and stroked Pikachu (っ´ω｀ )ﾉ (╥ω╥), comforting him before placing him on his other shoulder.

Then Ash recalled Dragonite and Zapdos, mounted Charizard, and planned to fly towards Viridian Gym.

”I finally found you, Ash!”

Just then, Lance arrived late.

”Lance? Why are you here?”

Ash was very confused by Lance’s arrival.

”I heard from Professor Oak’s grandson and your two friends that you went after the Pokémon created by Team Rockets. They were worried you might be in danger, so they asked me to find you. By the way, did you catch that Pokémon?”

Lance looked at the surroundings and asked.

There were traces of intense battles all around.

”I caught up, and we fought, but I didn’t catch it; it got away. It’s pretty badly injured, so it probably won’t appear for a long time. You can go after Team Rockets without worry.”

Ash didn’t intend to let too many people know about capturing Mewtwo.

”Alright then, be careful on your way back. All the Team Rockets members caught so far are just small fries; none of the executives have been caught, and you’ve disrupted quite a few of their operations, Ash,” Lance reminded.

”Don’t worry, I’ll stay in Pallet Town and wait for the Indigo Plateau Conference to start. With Professor Oak around, Giovanni won’t be foolish enough to come to Pallet Town to deal with me. As for you, Lance, let me warn you, Giovanni’s strength is not simple; don’t fall into his hands.”

After Ash finished speaking, he signaled Charizard to leave.

.....

Inside Viridian Gym.

Misty and the others were anxiously hoping Ash would return safely.

”Jioji, jiojibuli~”

Togepi, temporarily entrusted to Brock’s care by Ash, waved excitedly and called out to the small black dot in the distant sky.

”Is that?!”

Brock followed Togepi’s gaze and also spotted the growing black dot.

”Charizard? Does that mean Ash is back?” Misty also noticed.

”I didn’t expect Ash to come back by himself. Sure enough, the Flying Elite Four Lance is unreliable,” Gary grumbled.

”You can’t say that. What if Elite Lance just had an emergency to deal with?” Brock said.

”It’s different. You’re not familiar with that guy, so you don’t know his character. Lance is just constantly clashing with Team Rockets. Ash often says that guy is either on his way to capture Team Rockets or on his way to infiltrate Team Rockets.”

”.....”

”Hey, Misty, Brock, I’m back!”

Ash called out to them while riding Charizard.

”???”

Gary suddenly felt like he was superfluous.

”Oh, Gary, you’re still here?” Ash said with some surprise.

”Huh?”

”Am I seeing things, or is there really an extra Pikachu?”

Misty noticed an extra yellow-furred mouse on Ash’s shoulder...

”It should be one Ash just caught,” Brock said hesitantly.

”Jiojijoji!”

Togepi broke free from Brock’s embrace and jumped into Ash’s arms.

”Togepi, I’m sorry I made you worry,” Ash said with a hint of apology.

”Pika Pika!” Pikachu also called out to Togepi.

Mew curiously glanced at Togepi.

”Ash, did you catch up to Mewtwo?” Gary asked.

”I did, why?”

”Did you capture it?”

”You guess.”

Ash revealed a mysterious smile.

”Then you didn’t catch it, I knew it! That guy is so strong, you simply can’t defeat it.” Gary immediately guessed the wrong answer.

He had learned from his grandfather on the phone about Ash capturing Zapdos and Moltres; both were Elite-level. And the strength Mewtwo displayed, Gary felt it was even stronger than his grandfather’s Dragonite, so...

”As long as you’re happy.”

Ash had no intention of correcting Gary’s guess.

However, Misty and Brock both noticed the extra Master Ball on Ash’s waist.

Both of them chose not to expose him.
