Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

Meng Yue called Lu Yu to a secluded corner of the bar, then looked him up and down before Lu Yu spoke up, ”Are you feeling really proud of yourself?”

Meng Yue’s words caught Lu Yu slightly by surprise, and he replied, ”What do I have to be proud of?”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s response, Meng Yue lifted her chin slightly, glancing at the group of astonished young men and women, and said, ”Look, everyone’s pointing fingers at you, endlessly praising how amazing you are. They’re probably saying we’re useless, that ten or more of us aren’t worth as much as you alone!”

Actually, Meng Yue also felt quite frustrated about this. She had been planning the capture since last night, but today, not only did her plan not come into play, the number one drug dealer was knocked down by Lu Yu with a single punch, even before her police team made an appearance.

Thinking of this, combined with the pointing and whispering of the young men and women, made her feel incredibly stifled.

Hearing this, Lu Yu was left speechless. From start to finish, he had been forcibly involved in this by Meng Yue, so why was she now venting her anger on him?

But Lu Yu understood women well. Women are emotional creatures; sometimes they’re not rational. So Lu Yu could only respond to Meng Yue’s words with a smile.

Seeing Lu Yu do this, Meng Yue became even more agitated. She looked at Lu Yu and said, ”What’s so funny? Are you laughing at the fact that ten or more of us aren’t as good as you alone?”

”I didn’t say that.”

Upon hearing Meng Yue’s words, Lu Yu slowly replied, ”They say what they say, you guys stay busy with your work. Why bother yourself with it? If you care too much about what others think, your life will not only be colorless, but you’ll be like a pair of shorts, catching all the crap people spout.”

”Besides, my reputation was already trashed; I didn’t get angry over it. So just being yourself is the best.”

Pfft!

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Meng Yue couldn’t help but laugh, and she said, ”I didn’t realize you’re quite the charmer.”

Meng Yue originally felt uneasy after hearing the youths’ chatter, but Lu Yu’s words lifted her spirits.

Seeing Meng Yue laugh, Lu Yu patted her shoulder and said, ”Alright, go back to your work. I’ll head home myself. Tomorrow morning, I’ll make porridge for you.”

Meng Yue smiled slightly at Lu Yu’s words and replied, ”Alright, since you’ve performed so well, we’ll let this matter go. Don’t forget about the porridge tomorrow morning.”

Meng Yue said to Lu Yu, her words full of excitement, then waved her hand and walked out of the Margarita Bar.

Seeing this, Lu Yu shook his head and said helplessly, ”This little girl.”

After saying this, Lu Yu shook his head again and slowly walked out of the Margarita Bar, got a cab, and headed to his place.

...

The next morning, after making a pot of porridge, Lu Yu drove to Victory Group and sat down at his desk, ready to start his day’s work.

Just as Lu Yu was about to turn on the computer, the phone beside him suddenly rang.

Hearing the phone, Lu Yu pursed his lips, picked it up, and said, ”Hello? This is the Security Department.”

”Lu Yu, it’s Xia Bing. Could you come to my office? I have something I need your help with...” Xia Bing’s voice came through the phone, soft and gentle, instantly evoking a protective instinct.

”Sure, no problem. I’ll be there right away.”

Lu Yu responded to Xia Bing’s voice, hung up the phone, entered the elevator, and headed straight to Xia Bing’s floor.

Xia Bing’s office was just below Leng Qingqiu’s office, the transparent room immaculately clean with everything neatly arranged. At the moment, Xia Bing was staring blankly at a stack of papers in front of her.

”What’s the matter? Did you need my help with something?”

While Xia Bing was in a daze, Lu Yu appeared in front of her, smiling as he asked, his voice full of warmth.

Hearing Lu Yu’s voice, Xia Bing was momentarily startled, a hint of worry between her brows.

Noticing the trace of concern, Lu Yu felt a slight tug at his heart and asked, ”Did something happen?”

”My former landlord somehow found out my new address. He called me earlier, asking to meet at noon and demanding I repay the hundred sixty thousand yuan, or else...” Xia Bing trailed off, her voice filled with apprehension.

”Or else what?” Lu Yu asked, his brows furrowing slightly.

”He said he’d bring people to cause a scene at my place every day, making it so that no one would dare to rent to me...” Xia Bing quoted the sleazy landlord’s words to Lu Yu, worry evident in every word.

If the sleazy landlord found out where she lived and harassed her daily, no one would dare rent her a place.

”These bastards always pull this kind of stunt to get you to give in,” Lu Yu said after hearing Xia Bing’s words.

”So what do I do now? Should I give him the money back?” Xia Bing asked Lu Yu, her words laced with anxiety. Being just a girl, she wasn’t sure how to handle such shameless behavior.

”No way! That money is rightfully yours, and even if you return it, he’d come back to harass you. Obviously, the previous measures weren’t enough; such people dare to seek revenge!” Lu Yu replied coldly, ”These people need to be taught a lesson.”

”So what should we do now?” Xia Bing asked.

”Simple, he asked to meet you at noon, right? I’ll go with you. We need to settle this debt properly!” Lu Yu said calmly, ”Don’t worry; this time, I’ll make sure they never dare to bother you again!”

”Alright, thank you,” Xia Bing nodded slowly, reassured by Lu Yu’s words.
