Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

After watching the sleazy landlord leave, Lu Yu looked at Xia Bing in front of him, smiled slightly, and said, ”Alright, the trouble is solved now. Tomorrow you can take a day off with Leng Qingqiu to find a house. This place definitely can’t be lived in anymore.”

Upon hearing these words, Xia Bing nodded. After what just happened, she wouldn’t live in this house even if it’s cheap. Just thinking about the sleazy landlord earlier made her shiver. If Lu Yu hadn’t been here today, she couldn’t imagine what would have happened.

Thinking of this, Xia Bing looked at Lu Yu and said, ”Thanks for the trouble tonight.”

”It’s nothing, just a small matter, happy to help.”

Hearing Xia Bing’s words, Lu Yu laughed and said lightly, ”Now the 160,000 has already been transferred to the card. Next time, it’s best to rent a well-managed high-end apartment; it’s safer and you won’t encounter hooligans like before.”

Upon hearing Lu Yu speak, Xia Bing was slightly stunned. Only now did she realize that Lu Yu had made the sleazy landlord transfer 160,000 to her card earlier!

The rent for this house is 60,000 a year, and now the sleazy landlord refunded 160,000. This means the landlord not only refunded the full year’s rent but also gave her a profit of 100,000!

Thinking about this, Xia Bing felt a strong sense of disbelief. When others terminate a lease, they’re already grateful to get the remaining rent back, but not only did she get the full rent back, she even made an extra 100,000. This feeling left Xia Bing a little bewildered.

”Lu Yu, are we being too harsh?” Xia Bing asked, her delicate brows furrowing in a cute manner.

”Why would we be?” Lu Yu responded, ”Xia Bing, you need to understand, this time, the landlord had ill intentions first. We’re just giving him a taste of his own medicine!”

Seeing Xia Bing’s expression, Lu Yu knew she was a kind-hearted girl. If it were someone else, they would have been thrilled by now.

”As I said, we can’t go easy on him just because his crime was interrupted. Such leniency only encourages criminals, letting them harm more people. That’s why we must make him remember this lesson, so he won’t dare to have such thoughts again!” Lu Yu advised Xia Bing seriously.

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Xia Bing nodded, but still found it hard to accept. After all, she was a gentle girl with a higher education, who has always seen the world as beautiful and harmonious, making her a complete blank slate when it comes to matters like these.

Lu Yu, on the other hand, survived on a barren island for five years by relying on a fierce determination. Without it, he wouldn’t have lasted those years, nor would he have survived until now.

Seeing Xia Bing like that, Lu Yu smiled and said, ”Don’t worry; this money is rightfully yours, and it’s the cost he must pay!”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Xia Bing nodded and then said, ”I remember. You exerted a lot of energy fighting him. Do you want me to make you something to eat?”

Since the first time she met Lu Yu, he has been helping her. Tonight he protected her, and thinking about it always made Xia Bing feel quite embarrassed, so she offered to Lu Yu.

”No need, it’s late, and it’s unsafe for a girl like you” Lu Yu smiled and said, ”Next time, when you have time, you can invite me for a meal.”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, Xia Bing nodded seriously and said, ”Alright, next time I’ll definitely treat you to something delicious.”

”Alright, it’s settled then.”

Lu Yu looked at Xia Bing and said. After chatting a bit more, he slowly walked out of Xia Bing’s room, waved to her, and then headed downstairs.

...

Meanwhile, Li Shengtao stood in front of the large floor-to-ceiling window of his office, looking at the dazzling night view of LA City with a cold grin.

”What a beautiful night, Lu Yu, you’re probably still locked up, aren’t you?” Li Shengtao said with a smug grin, ”The Lu Family already collapsed. Even if you’re alive and back, you’re nothing. You want to fight me? You’re far from it!”

Just as Li Shengtao was feeling triumphant, an assistant-like man came up behind him and said, ”Young Master Li.”

”Hmm.”

Hearing the assistant’s voice, Li Shengtao responded, turned slowly, and said, ”How is Lu Yu doing in the police station? Did Captain Ji give him proper ’care’ for me?”

Having been humiliated in front of Leng Qingqiu by Lu Yu, Li Shengtao was eager to know Lu Yu’s situation at the police station.

Upon hearing Li Shengtao’s words, a trace of hesitation flashed across the assistant’s face, as if he wanted to say something but then hesitated.

”Are you deaf? I’m asking you a question!” Li Shengtao turned and said when his words went unanswered.

Startled by Li Shengtao’s words, the assistant immediately replied, ”Young Master Li, Lu Yu was released that same day...”

”What did you say?!” Li Shengtao’s face showed shock. He could hardly believe his ears: ”Released that same day? What was Ji Peng doing?!”

”There seemed to be an issue with Captain Ji. I just called to inquire and learned that he has resigned from the police station...”

Upon hearing Li Shengtao’s words, the assistant explained without any reservation.

”Useless, useless!”

Li Shengtao roared angrily, ”You’re all a bunch of useless people! You can’t even handle such a small matter! What are you good for?!”

Lu Yu not only beat him in front of Leng Qingqiu but also caused him to leave embarrassed, and now he couldn’t do anything about it!

Thinking about this, Li Shengtao felt like he was about to explode!

”I want him dead! I want him dead!”

At this moment, Li Shengtao kept saying, his tone cold. He paced his office several times, then picked up his phone, found a number, hesitated for a moment, and finally dialed it.

As soon as the call connected, he said, ”Brother Ting, I need your help...”
