Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

As time passed by, gradually, this business meeting in LA City was over amidst Lu Yu’s drowsiness. At the moment when Lu Yu and Leng Qingqiu walked out of the conference room, all the big shots present couldn’t help but secretly let out a gentle sigh of relief.

The oppressive aura surrounding Lu Yu, akin to a giant boulder, suddenly dissipated, leaving everyone feeling weak. They watched the backs of Lu Yu and Leng Qingqiu with a somewhat dazed expression.

As they walked out of the conference room, Leng Qingqiu glanced at the sleep-deprived Lu Yu and said, ”I think your performance just now was a bit over the top.”

According to her initial idea, a bit of assertiveness from Lu Yu would prevent others from pushing him around. However, the aura Lu Yu exhibited just now was more than mere assertiveness. It was a regal, lion-like dominance that even stunned her for a moment.

”Weren’t you the one who asked me to be more assertive?” Lu Yu rolled his eyes upon hearing Leng Qingqiu, expressing dissatisfaction in his words.

”I did ask you to be more assertive, but your attitude was way beyond ’a bit assertive,’ wasn’t it?”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Leng Qingqiu responded, recalling how Li Shengtao was left trembling in fear and the other big shots didn’t dare to utter a sound in his presence. Such aura was downright domineering!

The previous display of dominance even shook Leng Qingqiu. She now realized that although Lu Yu in front of her appeared the same as five years ago, his essence had changed beyond recognition.

At this thought, Leng Qingqiu’s curiosity about him grew unconsciously.

”Well, I can’t help it; that’s just how I am when I’m assertive.”

Lu Yu shrugged nonchalantly upon hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words and said, ”Honey, it’s midday. Where shall we eat?”

”Let’s eat back at the company!”

Leng Qingqiu replied with an icy tone.

”Eat back at the company?” Lu Yu looked at Leng Qingqiu in disbelief and said, ”Honey, we finally got out. You want to eat back at the company? Isn’t that a bit unfit for someone with your president status?”

The last time he accompanied Wen Ya for a meal at Mingchang Company, Wen Ya, as the marketing director, treated him to hot pot. Now accompanying CEO Leng Qingqiu to such a high-end hotel for a meeting, she wanted to eat back at the company. This left Lu Yu quite astonished.

”Who said being the president means I can’t eat at the company? Besides, I think the company’s meals are excellent,” Leng Qingqiu replied with a sidelong glance at Lu Yu.

Lu Yu was left speechless by Leng Qingqiu’s words. Others accompanied CEOs and ate at five-star hotels, but accompanying Leng Qingqiu meant going back to the company to eat a work meal. This left Lu Yu quite helpless.

”Honey, I used to think you were just ice. Now I realize I was wrong about you.”

Lu Yu shook his head and said, ”You’re not ice at all. You’re completely a stingy iron rooster!”

”Suit yourself,” Leng Qingqiu shrugged, ”No matter what you say today, we’re still eating at the company! Now take me back to the company.”

Hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu sighed helplessly and then accompanied her into the elevator.

...

Moments later, Lu Yu drove back to the entrance of Victory Group with Leng Qingqiu. After parking the car, he lazily got out with Leng Qingqiu and walked towards Victory Group.

After just two steps, Lu Yu suddenly felt uneasy as if something was lurking behind him. He pretended to stretch, casually turning his head, only to spot a black SUV parked not far behind. The uneasy feeling stemmed precisely from this vehicle.

Due to his long-standing companionship with danger, Lu Yu had developed a keen sense for it. He noticed the SUV’s undercarriage was low, indicating there were people inside, and not just one person.

Seeing this, Lu Yu smiled faintly, shook his head discreetly, and continued accompanying Leng Qingqiu into Victory Group without batting an eye.

He wasn’t in a rush to unmask the other party. If someone wanted trouble with him, he might as well observe what they intended to do.

The restaurant in Victory Group was located on the fifth floor, set up specifically as a cafeteria for employees, offering free lunch with a wide variety and excellent taste, serving as a welfare system.

Several guys from the security section were dining together. Wu Song suddenly looked up, spotting Lu Yu and Leng Qingqiu walking side by side, and said to the surrounding security guards, ”Hey, isn’t that the boss? And he’s actually eating with the president!”

”Damn, the boss is awesome, managing to win a wife like the president. I wouldn’t ask for much; even scoring the beautiful receptionist would feel like hitting the jackpot,” said a young security guard with envy, holding a chicken leg.

”Give me a break. If you had the boss’ skills, the receptionist would be after you. Unfortunately, you don’t, so just enjoy your chicken leg!” Wu Song chuckled, addressing the young guard.

At this moment, Lu Yu and Leng Qingqiu arrived at the dining area counter. Glancing at the dishes ahead, Lu Yu said, ”Auntie, give me eight chicken legs and a serving of rice.”

”Are you a pig?” Leng Qingqiu said, ”Who eats eight chicken legs for lunch?”

”Come on, honey, now that’s just unfair. You wanted us to come back to eat, and now we’re here, and I can’t even have some chicken legs? That’s too stingy!” Lu Yu lamented, looking helpless.

”It’s not that you can’t eat, but can you finish eight chicken legs?” Leng Qingqiu said calmly.

The meal portions at Ocean Group were quite generous. Normally, a serving of rice with three chicken legs would suffice for an adult male. Lu Yu’s request for eight made Leng Qingqiu feel he was being deliberately wasteful.

”Who are you looking down on?” Lu Yu glanced at Leng Qingqiu and said to the cafeteria lady, ”Auntie, add two more!”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, the cafeteria lady smiled, handing over ten chicken legs and a serving of rice to Lu Yu.

Having received his meal, Lu Yu told Leng Qingqiu, ”Just watch, I’ll show you how I finish these ten chicken legs!”

With that, Lu Yu took his meal to an empty seat and quietly awaited Leng Qingqiu.
