Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

Entering the Lin’an Police Station, Lu Yu was now being held alone in the interrogation room. Several customers and salesgirls from the 4S store were also brought in to testify, confirming that it was indeed Wang Kai who provoked first and said extremely unpleasant things, which led to Lu Yu’s furious response.

However, even so, the police did not release Lu Yu. Wang Kai had extensive bruises on his back, a fractured nasal bone, and even some minor internal injuries. He was hospitalized and without two or three months, he could hardly expect a full recovery. Thus, the police intended to ask Lu Yu for more details.

”What’s going on here?”

Seeing the tightly closed door of the interrogation room, Meng Yue, who happened to be passing by, was quite surprised. As a captain of the criminal police brigade, she hadn’t heard of any recent major criminal cases. So why was the interrogation room suddenly occupied?

”Oh, Captain Meng, it’s nothing major, just a little scuffle. The person inside was too heavy-handed and sent a young man to the hospital,” said a policeman standing at the door.

”Sent to the hospital?”

Upon hearing this, Meng Yue furrowed her brows, then asked, ”How bad are the injuries?”

”Pretty serious, fractured nasal bone, a large area of bruising on the back, and slight internal damage. But to be fair, that guy had it coming for insulting the victim’s deceased parents. If I were in the same situation, I’d have hit him too,” said the policeman passionately, ”But it was too heavy-handed. If I hadn’t arrived at the scene, I would have thought he was beaten by a group.”

”So what’s the result of the questioning?”

Meng Yue, though willful at times, never slacked off on her job. Although this wasn’t her case, she still asked.

”Everything is clear. The situation is simple. The 4S store has surveillance, and there were many witnesses. The testimonies match, no problem,” said the policeman, ”I also reviewed the 4S store’s surveillance. The guy inside has good skills, but the young lad who got beaten seemed trained too. Yet on the video, he was beaten like a child, without even getting a chance to fight back before being knocked down.”

Hearing this, Meng Yue shook her head and said, ”Insulting someone’s deceased parents is understandable, but the law doesn’t consider emotions.”

As a police officer, Meng Yue had seen many such things and couldn’t help but sigh each time. The law doesn’t accommodate personal feelings; some matters make sense morally but not legally.

But this time, since Wang Kai insulted Lu Yu’s parents first, morally and ethically, the police stood by Lu Yu.

”Captain Meng, how about you go inside and take a look?” The policeman at the door asked, seeing the contemplative look on Meng Yue’s face.

”Sure.”

Meng Yue replied. She had nothing urgent on her hands, just the right time to check on the people involved in this fight.

With those words, Meng Yue pushed the door open and immediately saw Lu Yu sitting in the interrogation room with an expressionless face, appearing extremely calm.

”Why is it you?”

Seeing Lu Yu before her, Meng Yue exclaimed in surprise, her words full of shock.

Earlier, after hearing the policeman’s words outside the door, Meng Yue had a slight expectation, but never imagined that the person who sent someone to the hospital would be Lu Yu.

”It’s me.”

Upon seeing Meng Yue, Lu Yu revealed a helpless smile. He hadn’t expected to run into Meng Yue after a fight.

The policeman outside was also a bit shocked and said, ”Captain Meng, you know him?”

”Of course I know him.” Meng Yue shook her head and said, ”He’s our tenant!”

Upon hearing this, the policeman couldn’t help but stick out his tongue. What a coincidence, he thought. The guy they caught for fighting is the tenant of Captain Meng from the criminal police team!

”Well, Captain Meng, you two have a word, I’ll step out.”

The young policeman was sensible enough to excuse himself, knowing Lu Yu and Meng Yue knew each other.

As the young policeman stepped out, a blush appeared on Meng Yue’s face. Still, she tried to keep a serious demeanor and said to Lu Yu, ”Why fight?”

Hearing Meng Yue’s inquiry, Lu Yu responded, ”He insulted my parents, so I taught him a lesson.”

Hearing Lu Yu’s answer, Meng Yue’s expression changed slightly, and she said, ”I wouldn’t have guessed it. You look so frail, yet you managed to take down someone with training. That’s impressive.”

In Meng Yue’s understanding, Lu Yu had always been seen as a down-and-out rich second generation. Hearing Lu Yu took down a skilled person was surprising for her.

”Five years on a deserted island, having some strength is normal, isn’t it?” Lu Yu said in response to Meng Yue’s inquiry.

”But why did you hit him so hard?” Meng Yue shook her head and continued her questioning.

”That’s my usual strength. If I were stronger, he’d end up in the crematorium,” Lu Yu said helplessly.

When he beat up Wang Kai, he didn’t dare exert his full strength. If he used the power he had from easily killing large beasts on the island, Wang Kai would have died the moment he hit the ground.

”Alright, I’ve got the gist. Considering it was the other party’s fault first, your issue isn’t too big. Talk to your company leader to bail you out. If nothing goes wrong, you should be able to leave soon,” Meng Yue said, feeling slightly puzzled.

This time, although Lu Yu sent someone to the hospital, the outcome wasn’t severe. With the provocation coming from the other side first, as long as someone from Victory Group came to bail Lu Yu out, he could leave shortly. There was no reason for him to sit here for so long, which was unusual.

”My phone was confiscated. I’d have to borrow your phone to make a call,” Lu Yu said with an embarrassed smile.

”Okay, then use mine.”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Meng Yue said without choice, taking out her phone to hand to Lu Yu. At that moment, a booming voice sounded: ”What a mess!”

Upon hearing this, Meng Yue turned slightly, surprised to find Ji Peng at the door. ”Captain Ji?” she said.

The visitor was indeed Ji Peng, captain of the Lin’an Police Station’s security brigade, and a colleague of Meng Yue, albeit from a different department.

”Captain Meng, your criminal police team is overstepping, aren’t you?”

Ji Peng looked at Meng Yue and said, ”This person was involved in a fight, and we brought him in after receiving a report. What were you doing, allowing him to make a call?”

On hearing this, Meng Yue’s temper flared up. She retorted, ”Captain Ji, I remember the station’s rules. Once the issues are explained, a person has the right to call a colleague or family for bail, right? What do you mean by detaining someone and confiscating a phone?”
