Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

At a time like this, they were indeed unable to make a decision.

The departure of the two forces should originally have been good news. But, it seemed completely different now. It was sounding warning bells instead.

Everyone focused their gazes on Lu Yuan not only because his strength was the highest among everyone present, but also because he was the Lord of the Celestial Court.

In addition, many previous matters had been led by Lu Yuan. For all these reasons, he had already become the leader of the Celestial Court and even the Jiang Clan.

He could make various decisions, and the people below would carry them out. Even the Jiang Clan would choose to obey without question.

”The universe is too vast. It is beyond what you and I can reach. So what we can do now is only to spread the information we have, and then quietly wait,” Lu Yuan said with a solemn gaze.

He voiced the thought in his heart. This was the decision he had made after consideration.

He knew that the two forces were brewing a great plan concerning the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons, one that could affect the safety of the entire universe and bring a huge tribulation.

But the key problem was that the universe was too vast, and their plan had already succeeded.

That meant the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons could appear anywhere. How could they possibly guard against that?

The enemy was in the dark, while they were in the light.

The only thing they could do was wait.

No one present spoke immediately. They all knew this was the best course of action right now. At present, there really was nothing else they could do.

”Good.” Jiang Ningxian said. ”This matter must be sent to my father as quickly as possible.”

She nodded toward Lu Yuan, then said nothing more and left with the Jiang clansmen.

The matter was of great importance. The more critical the moment, the calmer they had to be, and the less they could afford hesitation. Otherwise, they might very well affect the larger situation.

Now, the only things they could do were wait and report the news upward.

Of course, there was also one more thing. They could increase their own strength as much as possible in the shortest time. As long as they were strong enough, they would be able to respond calmly to any crisis in the future.

It was not only the Jiang clansmen who thought this way.

Lu Yuan shared the same thought too. Originally, he had felt they could relax slightly.

However, the two forces had already acted.

The Extracosmic Heavenly Demons were likely going to appear soon. The true trial was about to come. At a time like this, there should be no neglect.

As such, he did not think further and entered seclusion once more.

During this period, Lu Yuan again granted the people on the Investiture Edict even stronger power of Providence.

This was the limit of what he could do now. The purpose was to allow them to grow as quickly as possible.

Although he knew this was somewhat like forcing growth before its time, there was no room to consider too much at this critical juncture.

Even Lu Yuan himself used the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Tokens and the power of Providence to hone his strength and realm.

He was only a Creation Immortal. He could be called an expert, but that was all. He could not be said to be truly invincible.

Moreover, he now faced the threat of the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons.

Lu Yuan naturally hoped to become a Celestial Seat Immortal sooner but that was extremely difficult. It was not something that could be accomplished in the short term.

Time continued to pass like this.

The beings of the various starfields outside did not know what would happen. They only knew that the two forces that had threatened them and constantly annexed other powers had already left.

To them, this was entirely a good thing. No one wished to become the next target to be annexed.

However, some great races hesitated. They felt this departure was truly abnormal and wanted to investigate, but they did not know where to begin.

Finally, one day, no one knew who first leaked it, but news concerning the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons spread.

To the majority of Outer Cosmos beings, these three words were extremely unfamiliar. But some great races did know a little about them.

Then, the beings of the various races began to learn that the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons were existences that had once brought a great tribulation to this universe.

According to rumor, in order to deal with the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons, the Celestial Emperor had paid an enormous price.

There were even rumors that the ten great starfields were actually guarding different parts of the universe separately.

In a short period of time, the matter of the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons stirred panic in people’s hearts.

Many great races of the starfields had heard that the two forces were brewing a plan to summon the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons. Such actions placed all living beings in this universe in danger.

Some people chose to act and question the Celestial Race, the Nether Bull Clan, and other great races that had been close to the two forces.

However, no one revealed useful information.

Although these forces had submitted to the Ji Clan or the Eternals, in reality, they were not deeply involved in the plan.

They had merely felt that if the two forces kept expanding, then their own status would rise as well.

Another point was that whether it was the Celestial Race, the Nether Bull Clan, or the others, only a portion of their people had descended to Earth.

It was not all of them.

In other words, they were merely a group of hired thugs and subordinates used by the two forces.

Trying to obtain anything from them was impossible.

Thus, everyone could only give up. But in their hearts, unease remained.

Originally, not many people knew about the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons. The matter had become known now because Lu Yuan had deliberately asked the Jiang Clan to spread the news.

He had two goals in doing so.

First, he wanted to see whether beings from the other starfields had more information about the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons.

Second, he wanted to make the various races vigilant.

A great calamity would happen soon enough. It would be bad if the various races were still kept in the dark. In that case, it was better to give them a warning in advance.

In the end, however, the first goal was not achieved.

Of course, Lu Yuan had not expected to obtain much more information.

The descent of the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons was all but set in stone. At most, he could investigate a few more things and get some leads but it would not be of much use.

Therefore, he remained in secluded cultivation, wanting to take another step forward.

Unfortunately, things did not go as wished. The gap from Creation Immortal to Celestial Seat Immortal was indeed vast.

Even for Lu Yuan, this was the case.

His evolution speed was already fast enough. But after reaching the Immortal Realm, it still slowed down.

This was not because he was lacking in talent or other aspects. Rather, it was the same for anyone, and even for the geniuses throughout ancient and modern times.

No one could continuously advance triumphantly and break through to higher realms without pause.

Lu Yuan was naturally the same.

Thus, after several months of seclusion, aside from some increase in his combat strength, the rest remained the same as before.

However, just as Lu Yuan was feeling helpless, pleasant news arrived.

The seventh Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token was here.
