Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

It was a rather straightforward thought that appeared abruptly, almost like a sixth sense.

The sudden disappearance of the two forces, along with their Starfield Lords fleeing to the border of the universe, might very likely be related to the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons.

That was the thought in his mind.

He had no evidence or logic to support his guess but it was merely an intuition.

Jiang Ningxian and Jiang Huanyun frowned at Lu Yuan’s prolonged silence.

Jiang Ningxian immediately asked, ”What is it? Did something come to mind?”

Jiang Huanyun was especially curious as well, because he knew that Starfield Lords would not randomly leave their ancestral planets.

It was even more puzzling that they had gone to the cosmic borderlands. There was nothing special there apart from chaos.

So this should not be happening.

Lu Yuan thought for a moment before answering, ”I feel that this is not a simple matter. I think that perhaps it is largely related to the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons. Of course, this is only my guess.”

He stated his guess directly as it was too important a matter. Anything involving the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons was no minor matter. After all, their appearance might pose a huge threat to the entire universe.

That was why more people had to have knowledge of them. They needed to learn more about these existences ahead of time.

What if something went wrong?

Extracosmic Heavenly Demons?

When Jiang Ningxian and Jiang Huanyun heard those words, they were alarmed.

They had only learned of the demons from ancient records and had not taken them seriously before. But ever since Lu Yuan asked about them, the Jiang Clan had also been paying attention.

In the end, they discovered that the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons were extremely terrifying enemies.

Although information left behind was limited, there were still clues. Even the ancestor of the Jiang Clan, a Celestial Emperor, had once mentioned Extracosmic Heavenly Demons.

”Why would you think so?” Jiang Huanyun could not help asking, his eyes filled with doubt.

He could not find any evident connection between those two incidents, but he also knew that Lu Yuan would not bring up the demons all of a sudden.

”I don’t know either.” Lu Yuan shook his head. ”It’s more of an intuition. But I hope the Jiang Clan can investigate further on the matter. This is extremely important and we cannot afford to be careless.”

Those outstanding figures of the past had all regarded Extracosmic Heavenly Demons as great enemies. They had even been willing to offer their lives to annihilate them.

In the Mount Kunlun Secret Realm, the Primordial Dragon had even seemingly led people to war against those demons.

Since Lu Yuan now had this premonition, he could not simply ignore it.

”Intuition?” Jiang Huanyun’s gaze became extremely solemn.

The more powerful a person was, the more significant a role their intuition played, even though it was not yet equivalent to foreseeing the future.

After a brief moment of thought, Jiang Huanyun nodded, and replied, ”Alright. I will definitely give you an accurate answer.”

Jiang Huanyun no longer regarded Lu Yuan as a junior at all. Instead, he placed Lu Yuan on the same level as himself.

After all, if they really fought, he would not be Lu Yuan’s opponent.

”Many thanks.”

Lu Yuan understood that if he wanted to confirm his guess, he would likely have to rely on the Jiang Clan. After all, they were one of the top ten starfields.

Under such circumstances, they could gather more information, and more quickly.

Very soon, Jiang Huanyun left to inform the clan of this matter.

Only Lu Yuan and Jiang Ningxian remained.

”Extracosmic Heavenly Demons... If it’s true, what exactly do those two clans want to do?” Jiang Ningxian asked, her brows tightly furrowed. She found the matter to be too strange and the implications far too serious.

”I’m not sure either. But I feel that they are not up to anything good.”

Lu Yuan’s expression also grew solemn. He had always been guarding against the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons.

Although there had been no news all this while, this also meant that these demons would not appear for the time being. That had allowed him to feel slightly at ease.

However, things were different now.

Now that this intuition had been seeded in his heart, he had this inkling that something a huge event might happen soon.

Moreover, he had not made much preparations with regards to the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons, and he felt uncomfortable about the current situation.

”Could it be that they want to do the same thing as that black dragon of the dragon race and draw out those Extracosmic Heavenly Demons?” Jiang Ningxian voiced her guess, having suddenly thought of a possibility.

In an instant, even she was shocked by her own speculation.

If that were the case, then they were trying to lure an enemy here. That was an existence that did not belong to this universe, and all kinds of historical archives indicated that they had invaded this world more than once in the past.

As for Lu Yuan, his expression also changed slightly.

If it were truly the case, then things would be even more troublesome.

”Let’s go. We will go to the Dragon Penitentiary together and take a look,” Lu Yuan suggested. They could not only hope for information from the Jiang Clan now. They needed to investigate themselves.

Fortunately, he knew there were still several places.

The Dragon Penitentiary was the first stop, because it was the only place where the power of an Extracosmic Heavenly Demon had appeared.

Jiang Ningxian naturally had no objection. She knew the matter was urgent.

The two said nothing more and left no message behind. They immediately departed Mount Tai and headed for the Dragon Penitentiary.

Originally, reaching that place required Yinglong’s help. Otherwise, it would be very troublesome.

But Lu Yuan was now a Grotto-Heaven Immortal and could use the power of the void, so entering the Dragon Penitentiary was naturally much easier.

With their strength, it did not take long for the two to arrive.

This place was still the same as before. Wisps of strange aura lingered, but there was not much difference in the surrounding environment.

More importantly, they discovered nothing. It seemed that after that black dragon died, the place had remained as it was.

”I sense no trace of the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons’ power.”

Lu Yuan shook his head. He could sense nothing.

He had faced that power before, and the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token was also extremely sensitive to it, but it had not reacted.

”The black dragon merely accepted that power. It is normal that we did not find anything.” Jiang Ningxian pondered for a brief moment before she said, ”Let’s go directly to Mount Kunlun now.”

There was an altar inside the Mount Kunlun Secret Realm, as well as all sorts of information left behind by the Primordial Dragon.

They might be able to obtain more useful information there.

Hearing this, Lu Yuan immediately nodded. This was indeed a good suggestion.

The fact that the secret realm was closed posed less of a problem to him. Grotto-Heaven Immortals precisely control rules with regards to this. Even if others couldn’t enter the place, Lu Yuan could.

Immediately, the two chose to head to the Mount Kunlun Secret Realm.

There, they once again saw the Netherworld and Celestial Palace.

But unlike before, the place had become lifeless. Chaotic auras tangled together, leaving the entire area shrouded in a murky haze.

When Lu Yuan arrived at the Nine-Colored Altar where he had obtained the Nine Cauldrons, his expression changed at once. Cracks had split open around the altar, and from their very center, wisps of black mist continued to rise.

That black mist was almost identical to the power that had once emanated from the black dragon.
