Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

The Extracosmic Heavenly Demons had been regarded as great enemies even by the human race’s predecessors. Lu Yuan had never seen them, but this did not hinder him from preparing in advance.

Take the black blood before him, for instance.

Through it, Lu Yuan had already begun to understand some of the power of the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons. It completely suppressed this world.

But having cultivated to his current realm, Lu Yuan understood that all things had their counters. Even if the world beyond this realm was completely different from this universe, that principle would not change.

So when he realized that even greater power was required to suppress the black blood, Lu Yuan knew this would not work.

If all the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons descended to this world one day, what then?

At that time, perhaps only those powerful enough would be spared. However, most people would suffer.

Just as had been said before, Lu Yuan needed to face not merely a single starfield this time, but an entire world.

After thinking for a while, he activated the Providence on the Investiture Edict. Then, he used the Providence to touch the black blood.

Buzz, buzz, buzz!

In the next instant, an aura emerged.

Lu Yuan saw the black blood tremble, and the suppressive effect from before disappeared completely. In its place, Providence began continuously obliterating the black blood’s power.

”The Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token isn’t the only thing that can suppress the black blood, Providence can do so as well?”

Curiosity appeared in Lu Yuan’s eyes.

Very quickly, he thought of something. Perhaps the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token and Providence were powers of the same source but expressed in different ways.

Otherwise, why could he use Providence after possessing the Ancient Token?

Of course, these things were not important for now. The important matter was that there was a way to resolve the black blood.

Resolving the black blood meant there was a way to deal with the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons, and that way seemed to require Providence.

It is said that the Human Sovereigns and Celestial Emperors rendered great service to this world. Could it be because of this? The thought suddenly came to Lu Yuan’s mind.

Existences like them could be called truly invincible.

The stories concerning the Human Sovereigns and Celestial Emperors were definitely not passed down simply because they were strong enough, but because they had done certain things.

But what exactly had they done to remain in people’s hearts all this time?

Lu Yuan had not been certain before. However, he seemed to understand now.

Providence could be controlled only through the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token. And this object was closely connected to the Human Sovereigns and Celestial Emperors.

Did that mean that at some period in the past, the establishment of the ancient Celestial Court had been for the purpose of dealing with the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons?

The more Lu Yuan thought about it, the more likely it sounded.

In that case, were the things he was doing now also preparations? After all, he had strengthened many members of the Celestial Court with Providence.

With these powers present, compared to the Outer Cosmos beings, the Celestial Court members would definitely have an easier time dealing with existences beyond the realm.

So everything is connected. Lu Yuan pondered.

From the great battles at the beginning, to the sages of antiquity paying the price of their lives to deal with the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons, and then to the legends concerning the Human Sovereigns and Celestial Emperors, he had gradually sorted out many things.

In the eras of the past, this universe had suffered invasions from beings beyond the realm more than once.

To protect this world, the sages and heroes of antiquity had advanced wave after wave, choosing to fight them head-on.

Then a terrifying, epic battle had erupted. Blood stained the earth and many people died.

But those who ultimately resolved the great battle were the Human Sovereigns and Celestial Emperors, because there had been more than one such supreme existence.

Lu Yuan actually did not understand much about the ancient past. But after all his experiences and after reaching his current realm, he had already roughly inferred many things through all these events.

By now, he could be considered to understand the role of the Celestial Court.

As Lu Yuan thought, the drop of black blood from the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons before him was completely obliterated by Providence.

If they wanted to deal with those existences, they would have to rely on the power of the future Celestial Court.

At the very least, the names of their members had to be written on the Investiture Edict.

The matter of conferring titles had to be sped up.

However, Lu Yuan knew very well that if he relied only on the members under his command, it would be impossible to deal with a great calamity.

He needed more people, and stronger people.

Aside from the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons, there were also the clansmen of the two forces. Leaving aside their overall foundation and strength, their numbers alone were vast.

Of course, an idea had already formed in his heart.

That was to include the people of the Jiang Clan within the Investiture Edict.

Previously, Lu Yuan had not considered this because it was his personal secret.

However, Jiang Ningxian knew about the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token now, and the patriarch of the Jiang Clan was also clear on it.

In that case, there was no longer any need to hide. Though, he still had to discuss the actual execution with the Jiang Clan first.

Without thinking too much further, Lu Yuan closed his eyes.

He continued adapting to his Creation Immortal state. He also explored the various ways to use Providence and the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token.

Only in this way could he prepare everything before the true great calamity arrived.

Time passed bit by bit.

During this period, aside from adapting to his current state, Lu Yuan found Jiang Ningxian and shared his thoughts with her.

Everything was for dealing with the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons.

Moreover, the clansmen of the two forces had likely all already obtained that black blood. If conflict broke out and fighting began, it would definitely be very troublesome.

Only by using Providence would they be able to respond.

Jiang Ningxian naturally understood the severity of the matter and said she would inform her father to hear his thoughts.

The information from Earth would also be sent out together. Although they did not know how the situation outside the realm was developing, the situation here was constantly changing as well.

The two forces were acting against the living beings of the various races. They forced them to join the alliance, and their power and influence were continuously expanding.

No one knew what the two forces actually intended to do, but it was definitely far from what it could be seen on the surface.

The other top-ten major clans also found it strange after learning the news.

However, the Eternals and the Ji Clan had now fully joined forces.

Even if they felt there was something suspicious, or had objections, they would not lightly choose to act because doing so would mean facing two forces roughly equal to themselves.

Anyone would have to weigh that carefully.

The Celestial Court and the Jiang Clan remained the same as before, making no movements at all.

As long as no one entered Mount Tai or the five supercities, there would be no reaction.

Originally, the various major races had strong objections to the actions of the two forces. They all wanted to see the reaction of Lu Yuan and the Jiang Clan.

If a fight broke out, they would be happy to watch, and they would not have to be troubled.

But they had not expected this result.

As a result, they could not understand what was going on.

Were the two sides not irreconcilable?

Why did it now seem as though they had no interest in even glancing at each other?
