Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

”According to King Lu’s instructions, we were supposed to draw the enemy out. But the two forces do not seem to have reacted at all.”

After seeing how smoothly everything had gone, Zhu Qingyu felt happy, but unease still lingered in her heart.

From the moment they started acting until now, everything had seemed extremely smooth. They had not encountered the slightest obstruction. This could indeed be considered a good thing, but she still felt uneasy.

When things were too smooth, it often meant something was abnormal. At first, it had still been fine, but even now, the two forces had not reacted at all. That made her hesitate.

”Yes, it is indeed rather abnormal.” After hearing this, Ice Fairy also felt something was wrong.

The Hengduan Mountains were also one of the renowned mountains and great rivers, completely different from the previous places. Yet now, they were about to occupy it with extreme ease. In her view, this was indeed abnormal.

Moreover, the Ji Clan and the Eternals already knew what the Celestial Court intended to do, but they had no reaction.

The goal Lu Yuan had set for them was to draw out the two forces’ reaction and see what they were trying to do.

Now, not only had they failed to accomplish that, they had found out nothing.

Rumble!

However, just as the two were thinking this through, the void suddenly shook.

A powerful aura swept over from the distance, extremely deep and heavy. It had already surpassed the Sage Realm.

”An Immortal Realm existence?” After sensing this aura, Zhu Qingyu immediately determined what kind of figure had descended.

Without the slightest hesitation, she gave the order. Everyone was to stop moving and retreat at once.

Their ultimate goal was not truly to occupy any renowned mountain or great river. They were merely using this as an opportunity to see how the two forces would react. Now that they had encountered danger, the first thing they had to do was leave.

Very soon, auras appeared around them in succession. There was not only one Immortal, but several. All their lines of retreat were cut off, and they were surrounded.

”It’s over. We have fallen into a trap.” Zhu Qingyu immediately reacted, her gaze turning extremely grave.

She had always felt that something was wrong, and sure enough, just as expected, the two forces had finally chosen to act.

They had sent out Immortals.

”You need not be afraid. We will not act for now.”

A voice rang out. It belonged to an Immortal of the Ji Clan. He was not especially strong, only an Undying Immortal.

He had obeyed the orders from above to surround a portion of the Celestial Court’s people and draw out Lu Yuan.

Now, the first stage of the plan had already been completed.

There was no need to kill them at all. If they did, the plan might fail.

In addition, the two forces had sent another group to stop Jiang Haokong and the others. Their purpose was to leave Zhu Qingyu isolated and without help, forcing Lu Yuan to act.

The plan had gone very smoothly. They had succeeded.

Two Grotto-Heaven Immortals had been sent to Jiang Haokong’s side, which was already enough.

Because after reaching that realm, even a heaven’s prodigy could not claim to be invincible within the same realm.

Not everyone could be like Lu Yuan and fear nothing. Besides, they were not trying to kill Jiang Haokong. Stopping him would be enough.

”Next, we only need to wait for the news to spread.”

”Then Lu Yuan will be drawn out.”

In the shadows, the Creation Immortals of the two forces saw this scene and nodded.

They had enough patience. As long as Lu Yuan was dealt with, the plans of the two races would proceed smoothly.

Zhu Qingyu and Ice Fairy also understood what the two forces were trying to do.

They knew that they had become bait, and that the actual target was King Lu. From this, it was clear that an ambush had definitely been set here.

”What do we do?”

Zhu Qingyu’s heart tightened.

It was not that she did not trust Lu Yuan’s strength. Rather, since the two forces had chosen to set an ambush, they must have come prepared.

”We are trapped here. Even if we know their target, we have no way to send the news out.” Ice Fairy was also helpless.

She had thought of fighting with her life on the line, but everyone surrounding them was in the Immortal Realm.

Facing the restrictions the two forces had jointly arranged, they were completely powerless.

Could they only wait like this? Could they only watch King Lu fall into the trap?

Zhu Qingyu felt terrible. She felt that her strength was still too weak.

Everyone present had no way to change the situation. They could only wait.

Meanwhile, on Mount Tai...

”What? We lost traces on all our people? Even my brother?”

Jiang Ningxian received the news at once, and her gaze immediately changed.

These days, the plan she and Lu Yuan had set had gone smoothly. It was only a pity that they had not achieved their final goal of drawing the enemy out.

Just as she was preparing to give up, she heard that Jiang Haokong and the members of the Celestial Court had all disappeared.

In an instant, Jiang Ningxian knew who was maneuvering behind the scenes.

Her eyes immediately narrowed. ”What exactly are these two forces trying to do?”

She was thinking, trying to determine the ultimate goal of the two forces. However, the information Jiang Ningxian had obtained was too limited. She could not come up with much.

She only felt that the two forces seemed to want to go to war with the Celestial Court and the Jiang Clan.

She wanted to send people to search, but she hesitated. The reason was clear. Since the two forces had already acted, they must have come prepared.

Perhaps even Grotto-Heaven Immortals or even Creation Immortals would appear. Never mind sending others. Even if she went personally, it would not change much.

Thus, after hesitating for a while, Jiang Ningxian went to find Lu Yuan. Now, the only option was to discuss with him what should be done.

She did not know whether their attempt to draw the enemy out had succeeded.

Very soon, Lu Yuan also heard the news. Although he was in seclusion, he could still be disturbed for important matters. After learning of this, his expression turned solemn.

After a brief moment of thought, a faint smile appeared on Lu Yuan’s face. ”No matter what the two forces are trying to do, since they have already sent people out and managed to stop our people, they are surely planning to act.”

”So next, it is time for me to set out as well.”

No matter what the Eternals and the Ji Clan wanted to do, Lu Yuan could not possibly allow Jiang Haokong, Zhu Qingyu, and the others to come to harm.

Besides, ever since reaching the Creation Immortal Realm, Lu Yuan had not actually made a move.

Outsiders, especially the two forces, had always believed that he was still in the Grotto-Heaven Immortal Realm.

This happened to be an opportunity, an opportunity to show the world his strength once again.

And this was one of Lu Yuan’s true goals.

He would display his strength and make the two forces feel threatened again. Then, they would inevitably regard him as a great enemy and respond even more fiercely.

At that time, he could also take the opportunity to learn more about the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons.
