Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

Lu Yuan acknowledged Jiang Haokong’s guess.

There was indeed nothing to hide. Anyone careful enough would discover it sooner or later, so it was better to say it outright.

As soon as he said this, Jiang Ningxian was startled at first. Then she turned toward her younger brother with a smile. She seemed to know exactly what he was feeling, as though she were watching a show.

Sure enough, in the next moment, Jiang Haokong’s eyes widened. Then he stretched out a trembling finger and pointed at Lu Yuan.

He found it difficult to believe.

This was too fast. So fast that he had no time to react.

Jiang Haokong himself already belonged among the strongest geniuses in the universe. After reaching the Immortal Realm, even he found it difficult to advance further, despite his powerful talent.

After becoming an Immortal, every step forward was incredibly difficult.

Originally, after making enough progress and feeling that he would soon endure his way to Grotto-Heaven Immortal, Jiang Haokong had felt that his efforts during this period had not been wasted.

After comparing himself to those of the past, he knew he was indeed quite fast.

That was also the source of his confidence.

So when he saw Lu Yuan again, Jiang Haokong was quite proud.

”You are very strong. But I am not bad either.” was what he had been thinking internally.

And now? Lu Yuan had actually touched the threshold of the Creation Immortal Realm.

How long had it been since he became a Grotto-Heaven Immortal? Yet he had already made enough progress again?

Especially after receiving confirmation, Jiang Haokong was left unable to speak.

In the end, he could only look at Lu Yuan.

Once again, he had been struck down.

”Enough. Don’t forget the important matter.”

Jiang Ningxian shook her head. Naturally, she understood better than anyone what her younger brother was thinking right now.

But it was not that important. This was not the first time such a thing had happened.

Although she was also deeply shocked by how quickly Lu Yuan had progressed, after thinking about it carefully, it seemed only natural.

Ever since she met him, she had constantly found herself astonished. Things others could not do, Lu Yuan could. So thinking about it now, it did not seem like much.

Beside her, Jiang Haokong heard his sister’s words and came back to himself.

He gathered himself then said, ”We discovered that the people of the Eternals and the Ji Clan are more or less already close. They will descend soon enough. During this period, they have been constantly contacting the various races in the Outer Cosmos.

”It seems they want to form an alliance. Many starfields have already responded, and this may be unfavorable to us.”

The two forces had done something similar before, but never this openly. At most, they had joined forces with several starfields.

But now, things were different. They had almost begun using their own influence outright.

Some major figures from the two clans had even begun moving. This was a true alliance.

After receiving this news, the Jiang Clan attached great importance to it.

After so many conflicts, the Celestial Court and the Jiang Clan had basically ended up standing completely opposed to those two forces. Even if they were not irreconcilable, they were pretty close to that.

Now the other side had chosen to unite various parties. What was it for?

The most obvious possibility was that they wanted to deal with the Celestial Court and the Jiang Clan.

Even setting everything else aside, the grudge over the two Holy Sons had to be avenged.

This move naturally drew the Jiang Clan’s full attention. The foundation of the two forces was descending this time.

That was why the siblings had come to discuss it with Lu Yuan and see what they should do next.

If a crisis truly appeared, the Celestial Court and Jiang Clan would indeed need to face it together.

The Jiang Clan’s strength alone was not enough to confront the two forces. Not to mention that they were still constantly seeking alliance with various races.

”The clan’s suggestion is that we also take the initiative to join forces with some people and expand the strength in our hands. That way, even if danger appears when the time comes, we will not need to worry too much,” Jiang Ningxian spoke, voicing the Jiang Clan’s plan.

Truth be told, this suggestion was very wise. If conflict broke out later, they would have nothing to fear.

The enemy had people, and their side would have people as well.

However, Lu Yuan thought briefly, then said, ”I do not think that is necessary.

”Anyone drawn in through recruitment may very well stab us in the back once the situation turns unfavorable. That kind of alliance is not solid. What we truly need are people who can stand with us.”

His meaning was simple. Even if the Jiang Clan used its influence to gather a group of people, it would not have much effect.

No matter what, this world relied on one thing.

Strength.

At least, that was true under ordinary circumstances.

Especially for the various great starfields, an alliance without sufficient trust held no meaning.

It was just like the Ji Clan and the Eternals joining forces with various powers. If, in the end, Lu Yuan’s side fell into a disadvantage, those so-called allies would probably betray them immediately.

Only cooperation like that between the Jiang Clan and the Celestial Court would have no problems.

If either side was in danger, the other would do everything in its power.

After hearing these words, the siblings looked at each other. What Lu Yuan said made sense. Before this, they had only thought of expanding their battle strength. They had not considered anything else.

”Then what do you think we should do next?” Jiang Haokong asked, his eyes filled with doubt.

”We continue doing what we have been doing all along.” Lu Yuan smiled. ”If the two forces want to act, let them. We only need to know what they are doing at all times while continuing according to the previous plan.

”I believe that whether it is the Ji Clan or the Eternals, they will definitely expose their purpose in the time to come. When that happens, it will be our moment to act. The key is not to let the enemy lead us by the nose.”

Why had the two forces suddenly acted this way? It could only be because they had an objective they could not reveal.

As long as they knew this much, that was enough.

Marshal all the forces you want, I will stand firm and remain unmoved.

That was the principle Lu Yuan lived by.

”I know what to do.” Jiang Ningxian nodded as well. She believed Lu Yuan had never done anything wrong.

She also felt that taking the initiative to join forces with some people was indeed unnecessary. If they were true allies, there would be no need to pull them in.

And if conflict broke out when the time came, many things would remain uncertain.

Suddenly, Jiang Ningxian seemed to think of something and added, ”Right. My father will also descend soon, but he will not stay for too long. He only wants to talk with you.”

This was something that had already been decided earlier.

Lu Yuan nodded. He was also looking forward to it.

This top expert of the current universe.

What exactly would he say?

Would it concern those two Starfield Lords, or something else?
