Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

Lu Yuan sounded calm as he asked, ”I killed him. What now?”

As always, there wasn’t even a ripple of emotion to be seen on his face. He looked utterly fearless as he stared at the three Sages.

Lei You hovered dumbfounded. He wasn’t dumbfounded because Lei Xuan had died. It was all because Lu Yuan had dared to act as he wished, even though he—Lei You—was hovering before them.

The Void Sages of the Primeval Daemon Race and the Three-Headed Ghost Race turned to look at each other and—

BOOM!

—All three Sages unleashed their auras at once. Radiant light erupted and engulfed them. The small meteoroids nearby trembled before crumbling into nothingness that dissolved into the void of outer space.

”Human Lu Yuan... do you have any idea what you’ve just done? That was a clear provocation. You’ve declared war on us, the Celestials!” exclaimed Lei You upon regaining his composure. His words dripped with fury.

The Milky Way Starfield had long declined, but someone so audacious still existed within it. To him, Lu Yuan’s actions were a true provocation. As a Sage, how could he possibly tolerate something like that?

”Human Lu Yuan, you’ve signed your own death warrant!”

”From this day forward, my Three-Headed Ghost Race will wish for your death until the end of time!”

The Void Sages of the Primeval Daemon Race and the Three-Headed Ghost Race declared. Sages had their pride. Lu Yuan’s blatant disregard ignited killing intent within their hearts.

”If you can truly do that, you wouldn’t just talk. You’d descend and fight,” Lu Yuan said, striking back with a smile. Against three Sages, he was certainly not their match in a physical clash.

The crucial point was that these Sages simply could not descend on Earth.

Lei Xuan and the others had laid a trap to kill him. In response, he killed them all; they simply reaped what they had sown. Regardless of their backgrounds, those three had to die.

So what if the three before him were Sages? Lu Yuan was confident. Given enough time, he would inevitably become a Sage himself. By then, what was there to fear?

Having said his piece, he ignored the three who had hurled threats at him. He turned and descended toward Earth.

The issue was settled, so there was no need for further words.

”Good, good, good!” Lei You was enraged. ”In a month, I shall personally descend and wash away this humiliation with your blood!”

In his eyes, Lu Yuan was far too arrogant, as evidenced by how the latter had disregarded his presence.

Just as he had said, the enmity between them had become irreconcilable. Under these circumstances, there was only one thing left to do—he would make Lu Yuan pay the price.

The Celestial Race was one of the top hundred great clans among the starfields. When had they ever been disregarded like this?

If word of this were to spread, they would become a laughingstock throughout the Outer Cosmos.

Even if he had to pay a massive price, Lei You had to do something.

Lu Yuan didn’t even look back and simply replied, ”If you descend, I will kill you.”

With that, he vanished from their sight.

Nothing remained of Lei Xuan aside from a few droplets of blood.

Just then, beings from the Outer Cosmos emerged from the starships in the distance. They weren’t from the Celestial Race, the Three-Headed Ghost Race, or the Primeval Daemon Race, but the sight still left them deeply shocked.

How long had it been since anyone dared to provoke three great races at once?

”Will you truly descend in a month?” asked the Primeval Daemon Race’s Void Sage, sounding hesitant. At their level of strength, the backlash of a forceful descent would be too terrifying.

”That man dared to come up here and provoke us face-to-face. Regardless of the price we have to pay, we have to kill him!” the Three-Headed Ghost Race’s Void Sage chimed in with his eyes narrowed. ”If we let him live, how can we call ourselves one of the great races of the Outer Cosmos?”

Many beings from the Outer Cosmos had witnessed the spectacle from the sidelines. They had to be laughing behind their backs now. As Void Sages, how could they possibly endure this humiliation?

”That’s right. Besides, we have a month to prepare. We can surely minimize the cost.” Lei You nodded. He had already made up his mind. Lu Yuan had to die.

However, it seemed killing Lu Yuan would prove too difficult, as it seemed only a Sage could truly kill him. They had more prodigies on their way of higher ranking and with enough strength to kill Lu Yuan, but Lei You could not wait any longer.

He had decided to act personally.

”One of your Rankers also died,” said the Three-Headed Ghost Race’s Void Sage as he turned to look at the Void Sage of the Primeval Daemon Race. ”Are you just going to stand by and watch? What? You scared of a mere Venerable King?”

”Of course not.” The Primeval Daemon Race’s Void Sage immediately replied, ”I’ll descend alongside you.”

Even in his eyes, Lu Yuan was far too arrogant. He could not be allowed to live, lest he disrupt their future plans for Earth. Of course, they had long decided to ignore the fact that they had laid a trap for Lu Yuan and provoked him first.

In the eyes of these three Sages, Lu Yuan had wounded their reputation and slain their Rankers, so he only had one fate—a miserable death.

With that, Lei You turned around and returned to the Celestial Race’s starship to meditate. He also began preparing for his eventual descent. The other two Void Sages did the same.

Lu Yuan plummeted straight down and soon appeared above the Kongtong Mountains.

”It is King Lu! He’s back!”

”The Primeval Daemon Ranker was slain. As for that Celestial...”

”No need to think about it. With King Lu’s temperament, that so-called Tenth Ranker is definitely dead.”

Down below, Earth’s Awakened cheered upon seeing Lu Yuan. They did not know what had transpired above, but they knew one thing for sure. Nothing could escape the clutches of the domineering and invincible King Lu.

The beings from the Outer Cosmos exchanged shocked glances. They knew of the reputation of those three races, and those acknowledged as Rankers were among the most distinguished of the Outer Cosmos’ younger generation.

Despite that, a mere human from the Milky Way Starfield actually killed them?

Lu Yuan paid no attention to their reaction. He located Zhu Qingyu and the others and rejoined them. His most important task was to return to Mount Tai Trials Academy and refine the restriction arrays within the Heaven-Flipping Seal.

This treasure was suspected to be the supreme artifact of Immortal Guang Chengzi. Even in its damaged state, it would become a powerful asset to him if he somehow managed to control it.

Perhaps it was stronger than the Great Luo Sword Embryo, as the sword embryo still needed some time to grow.

Lu Yuan knew that Lei You’s vow to descend on Earth wasn’t a joke. In other words, a great crisis loomed just over the horizon.

”King Lu, is the Tenth Ranker of the Celestial Race truly dead? And what exactly happened up there?” Zhu Qingyu asked curiously as she stood beside him.

Ice Fairy, Chunyang, and the others also cast curious glances his way, eager to learn what had happened.

”It wasn’t anything serious, but...” Lu Yuan shook his head with a faint smile. ”In one month, I may have to fight a Sage.”1
