Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

When the ”ocean” of golden vital qi and the deluge of black energy collided, the shockwaves alone flattened many trees and shattered massive boulders at once. It was an overwhelmingly powerful explosion.

To make matters even more shocking, neither side had actually attacked the other. It was just a collision between their auras, yet the devastation was already unimaginable.

Had it not been for Jade Emperor Peak’s extraordinary nature, half of it would have been obliterated into nothingness.

Standing outside the Trials Academy, Elder Ji, Elder Yun, and the others stared with their jaws agape.

They finally understood why King Lu had specifically told them not to do anything. The reason was clear—they couldn’t possibly intervene in a battle of this. It exceeded all imagination; it was a scene straight out of mythology.

Even the pressure alone could kill a relatively weak Awakened. Everyone present knew that if they were to ascend Mount Tai, the sheer force of the shockwave would reduce them to nothingness before they could even react to it.

It was at this moment that they realized one thing. Modern weaponry was obsolete before beings with absolute strength. From now on, strength reigned supreme.

”Can King Lu really defeat those beings from the Outer Cosmos?” Elder Yun asked with a grave face. He believed in Lu Yuan’s strength, as the latter had just wounded a Nether Bull with a single strike.

However, Lu Yuan was facing three Venerable Kings.

As a part of the top echelons, he knew just how powerful the Nether Bulls were. The Nether Bulls had dominated every beast king before them, and they likely hadn’t even revealed their true strength just yet.

This would be a brutal fight.

Elder Ji didn’t answer. Instead, he looked at Zhu Qingyu.

”Qingyu, what did King Lu say before he left?” he asked.

”King Lu said it wouldn’t take long,” she answered, recalling Lu Yuan’s absolute confidence in himself. For some reason, she believed King Lu would succeed.

Just like always, this battle would decide everything.

”Then, let’s just watch,” Elder Ji said with a serious face. Then, he took a deep breath. No matter the outcome, they would stand with Lu Yuan. In the face of those invaders, they had to stand united and have complete faith in Lu Yuan.

The scenes of devastation on Jade Emperor Peak were broadcast live for all to see. Even through a screen, everyone felt the overwhelming power.

This battle marked the first major confrontation between Earth and beings from outer space. Its significance was immense, especially since the world recognized Lu Yuan as the strongest Awakened.

The world watched intently, not daring to tear their eyes off their screen.

Boom!

Two completely different energies intertwined, generating another explosion. The auras of the three Nether Bulls finally merged, but they weren’t in a hurry to attack. They planned to use their combined aura to suppress the human before them and test his true power.

Shock filled the eyes of the Spirit Monkey and the other beast kings at the sight. These beings from outer space had been on the path of evolution for a long time now, so they were truly stronger than they were.

If they were to truly fight them, they would definitely die.

As they had stated earlier, they needed more time to grow.

Meanwhile, Lu Yuan remained calm. Golden vital qi circled him as he unleashed the latent power inside him. He smiled, realizing that they wanted to fight him using their auras.

Rumble!

An even more powerful aura erupted from him. His golden vital qi pulsed along with his organs, and a golden sun flickered behind him.

A wave of scorching power engulfed the Jade Emperor Peak in mere moments, and it was so hot that even the air itself sizzled and distorted.

Lu Yuan had just revealed the full extent of the Ancestral Bloodline he had created upon assimilating Shennong’s blood essence. Since he was the ancestor of his own bloodline lineage, he would only become even stronger over time.

The aura rushing from Lu Yuan was so formidable that the world itself seemed to tremble in the face of it. To make matters more shocking, his golden vital qi erupted like hundreds of volcanoes exploding at once.

The golden ocean formed by his vital qi churned and suppressed the deluge of black energy.

Horrified, the three Venerable King Realm Nether Bulls retreated.

Lu Yuan seemed like he wasn’t in the mood to waste time. He stepped forward and unleashed a more powerful wave of golden aura before swinging his right hand.

A boundless tidal wave manifested from the ocean of golden vital qi. The sizzling and distorted air exploded, sending out waves of distorted air that swept across everything within several hundred meters of Lu Yuan.

”This is bad!” One of the Nether Bulls was alarmed. In response, black energy gathered on its sharp claws. It decided to use its most powerful attack to meet Lu Yuan’s attack head-on.

The two Nether Bulls beside it saw that and did not hesitate to join it.

Boom!

The ”ocean” of golden vital qi churned as Lu Yuan’s punch shot out with immense force. When his fist made contact with the Nether Bulls’ claws, an immediate burst of power inundated the latter.

Crack!

In the next instant, that Nether Bull’s claws shattered into powder. Half of its body literally exploded, and an explosion of black blood dyed the ground red. Then, with dull thuds, chunks of its remains descended like rain.

A truly gruesome sight.

However, it was still a Venerable King. Even though its upper body was obliterated, it was still releasing a powerful aura. Lu Yuan followed up immediately with a stomp.

Boom!

The Jade Emperor Peak trembled. With just a stomp, the entire Nether Bull was instantly obliterated. Nothing remained of it, leaving the other two Nether Bulls retreating in complete horror.

The Nether Bull towered over a hundred meters tall, and its physique was sturdier than a mountain, yet it crumbled like crackers before Lu Yuan. Even its black blood evaporated instantly under Lu Yuan’s scorching aura.

”Mmhm, Venerable Kings are not bad at all,” Lu Yuan said casually, nodding.

The Spirit Monkey and the other two beast kings were forced to retreat by the collision of the two sides’ auras. When they heard Lu Yuan’s remark, their faces changed drastically.

The Venerable King Realm represented the fifth stage of evolution, and these Nether Bulls were at that stage. They couldn’t hope to match them at the moment, yet those Nether Bulls only managed to elicit the words ”not bad” from Lu Yuan?

Wasn’t he being too arrogant here?

When they thought about it, however, they realized that Lu Yuan had just killed a Venerable King in an instant. With that in mind, his words seemed perfectly justified.

The world saw it happen live, and their eyes went wide.

「K-King Lu is just too strong.」

「He’s still crushing them like they’re mere ants. He’s as domineering as always.」

「He’s invincible. King Lu is indeed King Lu, our strongest Awakened.」

After a brief moment of shock, everyone finally came to their senses. Earlier, they were uncertain and worried. Now, the Nether Bulls were no longer as threatening as before.

In the end, King Lu was still the King of Humanity. He would crush just about anyone underfoot. Of course, they remained tense and glued to the livestream.

After all, there were still two Nether Bulls, and they looked even stronger than the one Lu Yuan had just killed.

Lu Yuan turned his gaze to the two remaining Nether Bulls.

”Now it’s your turn,” he said, his eyes glimmering sharply.

”You’re nothing but a native of the Milky Way Starfield. This place was once a glorious place, but it has long since declined. Meanwhile, my Thunderflash Starfield has risen to become one of the top one hundred starfields.

”Our brilliant civilization is beyond anything you can ever imagine,” said the leader of the Nether Bull. It spoke boldly upon coming back to its senses.

Lu Yuan was indeed powerful, far more powerful than they had expected, but so what? It was from a high-level civilization. How could it be scared of a native from some backwater civilization?

With that, it threw its head back and howled. The other Nether Bull did the same, and powerful black energy gathered around them. The sky darkened as streams of Heaven-Earth Spiritual Energy formed a whirlpool around them.

The streams of spiritual energy converged on their horns. Afterward, the horns turned black before manifesting into the massive silhouette of a Nether Bull.

Lu Yuan instantly realized that the Nether Bull was the manifestation of their clan’s inherited divine art, and it was an extremely powerful divine art.

It was their strongest attack.

”Let me show you the meaning of true power! Wrath of the Nether God!” the leader of the Nether Bulls exclaimed. When his words fell, the silhouette of a Nether Bull charged forward, running across empty air as it rushed at Lu Yuan.

The Spirit Monkey, Peacock King, and Nine-tailed Fox King paled at the sight. They could feel the tremendous power within the silhouette.

If they were the ones in Lu Yuan’s shoes, they would surely die. Even with their extraordinary bloodline, they would not survive.

However, Lu Yuan was different. Standing in mid-air, he had on the same cold and calm face as always. Then, he raised his hand to perform the same punch as earlier.

Golden vital qi churned within him, and his organs rumbled as his fist flew to meet the silhouette of a Nether Bull in midair.

Boom!

A terrifying wave of energy shot toward the sky, scattering the clouds. A single punch pierced the so-called Wrath of the Nether God. Then, it continued on its path, piercing the two Nether Bulls behind it.

Splat!

Blood sprayed everywhere as a huge chunk of their body was obliterated. Their auras instantly weakened as life drained from within them.

”H-how is this possible? How come it couldn’t affect you at all?”

The two Nether Bulls were completely stunned. That was their strongest attack. Even if it couldn’t defeat Lu Yuan, it ought to have severely injured him at the very least. On top of that, the mere remnant of his punch had grievously wounded them.

”So this is the power of a so-called high-level civilization?” Lu Yuan walked toward them step by step.

”You did your best,” he said, shaking his head. Not wanting to waste more words, he raised his hand, and a fist imprint manifested overhead before descending upon the Nether Bulls.

Boom!

Beneath the fist imprint’s absolute power comparable to a broken dam, the corpses of the three Nether Bulls literally exploded, scattering across the ground.

Earlier, countless living beings trembled in fear as they descended upon Mount Tai, but now, they had been reduced to nothing but chunks of flesh littering the ground.

It all happened in less than half an hour since their arrival.

They boasted about how they were from a brilliant civilization, yet a human being from a so-called backwater civilization had killed them all, and they couldn’t even put up a real resistance against him.

Venerable Kings really aren’t bad. I had to use my real power to kill them, and their bloodline wasn’t even that good, Lu Yuan thought, pondering over the battle. He paid no attention to the aftermath.

He had made it look easy, but it really wasn’t easy.

The Nether Bulls were still an entire stage above him, after all. And he could tell that the Nether Bull Clan wasn’t one of the stronger clans in the Thunderflash Starfield.

Otherwise, how could the Thunderflash Starfield become one of the top one hundred starfields?

Lu Yuan didn’t dwell on it too much. He smiled faintly and turned to look at the Spirit Monkey and the other beast kings.

”It’s done. For the first time, humans and mutated beasts have united as one to kill these invaders from the Outer Cosmos. And we did it; we’ve succeeded.”
