Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

I will slaughter them myself!

Lu Yuan’s voice wasn’t loud, but it carried absolute confidence. He had always known the descent of the great clan and major races from the Outer Cosmos was inevitable.

As long as these beings didn’t pose a major threat to himself or Earth’s living beings, he could let certain matters slide.

They could occupy territories if they wished, and Lu Yuan wouldn’t care less about their actions. However, they had decided to blatantly ignore his warning and attack. They attacked his mount, to boot.

With that, he had no reason to hold back anymore.

The Golden-Winged Great Peng was his mount, after all. If he truly had to confront those two clans head-on, Lu Yuan would not be afraid at all. Their words could not shake him in the slightest.

”Slaughter them yourself? Do you even know what you’re saying? Your arrogance knows no bounds!

”However, if you take back those words and let what I’ve done slide, I can tell my people to propose an alliance with you. How about it?”

The Three-Headed Ghost was shocked. Words like that would be normal coming from someone in the top ten clans in the Outer Cosmos. However, those words had actually come from a human whose starfield had been sealed for many years, with its former glory long gone.

The fact that he dared to speak that way was simply unthinkable.

Still, he knew his life was in Lu Yuan’s hands. This wasn’t the time to be arrogant. Stabilizing Lu Yuan first was the wisest move. Surely, this human wouldn’t dare make enemies of two powerful races at once, would he?

Unfortunately for him, Lu Yuan had no intention of continuing to exchange words with him.

”You talk too much,” said Lu Yuan with a sharp glimmer in his eyes.

Swoosh!

Lu Yuan vanished and reappeared before him. Then, he decisively stomped on the ten-meter-tall Three-Headed Ghost.

Boom!

A deafening explosion erupted, and even the air itself howled in the face of it. The Three-Headed Ghost Race had earned its place among the top hundred starfields for a reason. Their bloodline and innate talent surpassed countless beings across the universe.

Unfortunately, he stumbled upon Lu Yuan. In an instant, his fleshly body was shattered. The attack was just too overwhelming. He couldn’t mount even the slightest resistance before exploding into a mist of blood. All three heads and the body disintegrated into nothingness. He was deader than dead.

Lu Yuan felt nothing, and his expression didn’t change.

Just then, his gaze shifted somewhere else.

”Master.”

The Golden-Winged Great Peng approached, looking as respectful as ever. Now, it had truly and completely acknowledged Lu Yuan as its master.

The Three-Headed Ghost Race and the Nether Bull Clan dared to act even after my warning. It seems they’re following orders from a Ranker of the Celestial Race—someone who attained the rank tenth across the starfields, at that.

”He still hasn’t shown himself, so finding him will be difficult, but the other beings from the Outer Cosmos are a different story.

Lu Yuan pieced together the information he had obtained so far. Jiang Ningxian had once mentioned that a prodigy of the Celestial Race had descended. He believed that the so-called prodigy of the Celestial Race and the Ranker who gave orders to the Three-Headed Ghost Race and the Nether Bull Clan were the same.

Since that individual had yet to appear and only issued commands from the shadows, tracking him down would be difficult.

Even so, Lu Yuan couldn’t allow something like this to happen again.

The Nether Bull Clan and the Three-Headed Ghost Race were definitely still around here. In that case, he had to kill them all. He had originally planned to seek opportunities and boons born from the second Global Awakening. Now, it would have to wait, but it didn’t matter. There was still plenty of time.

Lu Yuan turned to the Golden-Winged Great Peng.

”How are your injuries?” he asked.

”I’m fine. My bloodline allows me to regenerate quickly on my own.”

The Golden-Winged Great Peng seemed to have sensed its master’s intentions. Being hunted and ambushed had filled it with rage. In the face of its master’s killing intent, it was more than willing to follow the former.

”Good. Come with me, then. Let’s slaughter them all.”

With that, Lu Yuan stepped onto the Golden-Winged Great Peng’s back with an icy face. He chose to ride his mount for one reason—speed and its racial talent. He could fly on his own, but he wasn’t as fast as the Golden-Winged Great Peng.

With the Golden-Winged Great Peng’s help, things would be far more efficient and faster.

”Yes, Master.”

The Golden-Winged Great Peng beat its wings excitedly, recalling how it had once intimidated the world’s beast kings alongside Lu Yuan. This time, it was different. They weren’t going to intimidate others. They were going out for a hunt.

It was time to hunt!

Swoosh!

The Golden-Winged Great Peng became a streak of golden light that vanished into the distance in the blink of an eye. When it came to locating the remaining members of the Three-Headed Ghost Race and the Nether Bull Clan, Lu Yuan decided to leave that task to the officials of Huaxia.

***

When Elder Ji, Elder Yun, and the others learned that Lu Yuan had taken the initiative to hunt beings from outer space, they were all stunned. Hadn’t he said there was no need to provoke them?

After a moment’s thought, however, it all made sense. The Nether Bull Clan and the Three-Headed Ghost Race had attacked them first. In other words, hunting them down was entirely justified.

Without hesitation, they issued orders to the troops stationed across the country and demanded constant reports about the movements of the Nether Bulls and the Three-Headed Ghosts.

At the same time, they released official notices online, calling on the Awakened of Huaxia to assist and report any relevant information as soon as possible.

└ Look! King Lu has taken the initiative. He’s hunting the Nether Bull Clan and the Three-Headed Ghost Race!

└ It’s official news. They’re asking us to provide intel, too!

└ What are we waiting for, then? Let’s roll!

The population of Awakened in Huaxia experienced a massive boom thanks to the second wave of the Global Awakening. As soon as news of Lu Yuan’s decision spread, every single Awakened rallied to help.

Since King Lu needed information, they would deliver it to him.

Soon, messages flooded the officials, and they were all processed in no time. After filtering and verifying every single piece of information, the reliable pieces of information were then transmitted to Lu Yuan’s communicator.

A few minutes later, two Nether Bulls near a lake were struck dead by arrows from Lu Yuan’s Heavenquake Bow. An hour later, a Three-Headed Ghost was crushed, reduced to mere meat paste while its three heads fell separately on the ground.

In just a single day, more than a dozen Nether Bulls and Three-Headed Ghosts were killed. The news sent chills down the spines of the beings from the Outer Cosmos. None of them had expected that a human from the Milky Way Starfield would actually dare to be so ruthless.

Killing the Nether Bulls was one thing, but he even dared to slaughter members of the Three-Headed Ghost Race, a major power in the Outer Cosmos.

They dared not voice any opinions, afraid of being implicated. Soon, a few figures from the Outer Cosmos proactively contacted humanity, declaring that they had no intention of opposing Lu Yuan or humanity itself. They claimed their only goal was to seek opportunities to further their evolution.

This was a clear show of submission.

Lu Yuan’s actions had intimidated the beings from the Outer Cosmos. They had no other choice. He was simply too strong, and they were no match for him.

If they were to refuse to take a clear stance, who could guarantee that he wouldn’t come for them next?

By the third day, almost all of the Nether Bulls and Three-Headed Ghosts who had descended were wiped out. A few managed to escape, but none of them could stir up any real trouble anymore.

All of this unfolded under countless watchful eyes.

Quite a few Awakened even joined the hunt by providing valuable intelligence.

└ Hunting down those beings from outer space... that’s something only King Lu will do.

└ I don’t think the title ”Strongest Awakened” suits him at this point.

└ Yeah, he’s ”Unrivaled Under Heaven”!

Everyone was thrilled. Lu Yuan’s actions proved to everyone that beings from outer space were not invincible. As long as one was strong enough, there was no reason to be afraid of them.

As for Lu Yuan, he had the Golden-Winged Great Peng return with him to Mount Tai. He knew that he had thoroughly offended two great races from the Outer Cosmos.

But so what? His principle was simple; he believed that hesitation when it was time to act meant defeat.

Massive starships, artificial celestial bodies, and various other constructs hovered silently in the void above Earth.

When Lu Yuan began his hunt, the beings from the Outer Cosmos immediately noticed it.

”Damn it! Damn it all! How dare a lowly human from a primitive starfield attack my people!” a Three-Headed Ghost roared. This towering Three-Headed Ghost was a Void Sage. To become a Void Sage, one had to reach the Void Sage Realm, one of the three stages of the Sage Realm.

Standing in the vacuum of outer space, he looked down upon Earth, a planet teeming with life, and murderous intent filled his eyes. The power radiating from him made the nearby meteoroids tremble. It was like the universe itself was responding to his fury.

”Hahaha! I never thought the Three-Headed Ghost Race would live to see such a day. I’d say that human is quite impressive,” said another towering figure. He was also at the sixth stage of evolution, a Void Sage, but he was from the Primeval Daemon Race.

The Primeval Daemon Race and the Three-Headed Ghost Race had always been bitter enemies. Hence, he was delighted to see the Three-Headed Ghost Race’s plight.

”Zhong Ye! Wanna die?!” the Three-Headed Ghost Race’s Void Sage roared, and his aura surged violently.

”You want to kill me?” Zhong Ye sneered. ”Are you even strong enough to do that? Your people are being slaughtered, and all you can do is watch and rage helplessly out here.

”I guess the Three-Headed Ghost Race will fall out of the top hundred rankings sooner or later.”

”You...!” He had no idea what to say. He was indeed extremely powerful, capable of traversing the universe freely. However, Earth was being protected by the restrictions left behind by its sages during ancient times.

If he were to make any attempts at descent, he would be crushed to death before he could even touch the ground.

”If you ask me, that human hasn’t killed nearly enough of your people. He should wipe out every single Three-Headed Ghost and Nether Bull on that planet,” Zhong Ye provoked. He was clearly enjoying the other party’s frustration.

”Oh? Then are you implying my Celestial Race should be included as well?”

Just then, a calm voice echoed throughout the void.

A middle-aged man appeared, bearing twin wings of wind and lightning. He had snow-white hair, and he was shrouded in violent lightning, making him appear like a god of lightning.

His boundless aura seemed to be on the seventh stage of evolution.

He was from the Celestial Race.

When Zhong Ye saw him, his expression changed. He immediately retreated several steps backward and fell silent. This was not only due to the difference in strength, but also because the Celestial Race itself was extraordinarily strong.

In addition, the Ji Clan from the Ziwei Starfield stood behind them.

Among all the major clans and races that had decided to venture to the Milky Way Starfield, the Celestial Race stood at the very top.

”That human surnamed Lu is far too bold. He dared to treat my Celestial Race’s vassal, the Nether Bulls, as prey. He deserves to die,” the middle-aged man calmly said, but his killing intent billowed out of him. The meteoroids nearby flickered dangerously.

Sages were powerful, possessing might beyond comprehension.

Otherwise, how could they deserve the title of ”Sage”?

”Lord Lei You, please tell me what to do. My Three-Headed Ghost Race is willing to cooperate,” said the Void Sage of the Three-Headed Ghost Race.

Lei was the shared surname of all Celestials. The middle-aged man was named Lei You.

”The Separation of Heaven and Earth is weakening.” Lei You’s voice was steady, and his gaze was sharp. ”More and more major clans and races will soon make their way here. Soon, it’ll be time for a full-scale descent.”

”Figures like us cannot descend personally, but we can pay a certain price to send large numbers of our younger generation and our people. In the end, this world will become a massive battlefield for all of us.

”As for the so-called human race, they might get to live if they submit. However, if they resist, we shall crush them all underfoot.”

Crackle!

A bolt of lightning erupted from him, stretching into the distant void. His words were like a god’s decree as he calmly decided the fate of countless living beings on the blue planet before him.
