Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

When the three beast kings heard Lu Yuan’s words, suspicion and confusion flickered in their eyes.

”Please explain, King Lu,” the Nine-tailed Fox King said.

Its bloodline was extraordinary, but it had yet to fully awaken. It needed more time to do so. Once it matured, however, it would become terrifyingly powerful.

Had it not been for its extraordinary bloodline, it couldn’t have escaped from the Nether Bull while being an entire realm lower than it.

The same was true for the Peacock King and the Spirit Monkey. What they truly lacked was time. In the future, they would definitely become formidable figures.

Lu Yuan smiled faintly and softly said, ”We’ve established an organization called the Celestial Court. I’m the leader of that organization. The requirements to become a member of it are pretty demanding, but the three of you certainly qualify.

”I’m hoping that you’ll join the Celestial Court after this ordeal.”

Joining meant setting aside all past grievances and cooperating with the officials of Huaxia. Before, both sides had simply agreed to avoid offending each other, but now, they would establish a true alliance.

Since Lu Yuan was the leader, it meant humanity would take the lead, while the mutated beasts would take on a supporting role.

The three beast kings before Lu Yuan held great influence among the mutated beasts.

If they joined the Celestial Court, the world’s situation would surely change from then on. Eventually, humans and mutated beasts could truly stand united, becoming a single unified force.

This was Lu Yuan’s goal. He wanted to unify the world’s powerful organizations and use them to oppose the beings from the Outer Cosmos in the days to come.

After all, there was only so much one person could do.

He could serve as a deterrent of sorts, but the actual work needed to be done by others. Over time, those under him needed to be powerful as well.

The three beast kings before him met his requirements and could become valuable allies in the future.

Just then, an idea took shape in Lu Yuan’s mind. Since they had already established the Celestial Court, why not make it into a truly formidable organization?

The Great Age was here, and the major starfields were competing against each other. If he wanted to carve out a path through all of this and accomplish even more things in the future, this was the best way to do it.

The Peacock King and the Spirit Monkey exchanged glances. They understood what Lu Yuan was trying to do, and they hesitated in the face of it.

After all, as beasts, they were used to freedom and doing as they pleased. In addition, they were beast kings—the kings of their own territories with countless mutated beasts bowing toward them in submission.

The truth was that there wouldn’t really be any major downsides to this alliance, but the issue was that they could end up having all sorts of constraints placed on them in the future.

For example, wouldn’t they have to obey the Celestial Court’s orders by then?

”Since you’re the one asking, King Lu, then I’ll definitely join,” the Nine-tailed Fox King said, declaring its intention to join the Celestial Court.

Then, it looked at the Spirit Monkey and the Peacock King. ”Right now, our greatest enemy is those beings from the Outer Cosmos. They’ve descended and are taking over our homes as we speak. In the future, even more powerful beings will come here. As native creatures of this world, we should unite against our common enemies.

”You both know King Lu’s strength. Right now, the only one who can defeat those Nether Bulls from the Thunderflash Starfield is him.”

They had fought each other and knew each other’s capabilities. The arrival of the beings from the Outer Cosmos had to be taken seriously, but the problem was that virtually everyone on their side was already defeated.

And they couldn’t even fight back. With that in mind, why not establish a true alliance?

The Nine-tailed Fox King saw this clearly.

It also knew what choice to make.

What a shame. If I had just a bit more time to recover from my injuries, I’d soon reach the Venerable King Realm, the Peacock King thought with some regret, but it knew the Nine-tailed Fox King was right, so it said, ”Fine. I’ll join as well.”

”I’ve got no problem with it either,” the Spirit Monkey said. It found Lu Yuan to be pretty likable. Besides, it never really had a grudge against humanity. Right now, they had to deal with those beings from the Outer Cosmos first.

”Thank you for your decision,” Lu Yuan said, smiling.

Now that these three beast kings had become a part of the Celestial Court, it meant the Celestial Court had indirectly gained control over a huge portion of the mutated beasts.

Of course, this was only the beginning. If he wanted to keep expanding his forces, he needed to do more than this, but he was in no rush.

Lu Yuan chatted with the three beast kings for a while longer before finally leaving Mount Tai.

Then, he sought out Elder Ji, Elder Yun, and the others, informing them of the three beast kings’ decision to join the Celestial Court.

When the two elders heard him, they reeled in disbelief. Mutated beasts had always been wild and untameable, yet King Lu made just a single trip and convinced them to establish a true alliance with humanity.

Those were beast kings! Not just any random mutated beasts!

Elder Ji and Elder Yun were truly stupefied.

Lu Yuan wanted the top echelons to handle the specific details of the planned alliance with the mutated beasts. He would simply lead them in the direction he wanted them to go. He couldn’t manage everything by himself, after all.

The possibility that beings from the Outer Cosmos would attack Mount Tai filled the people with anxiety and fear these past few days. Those unknown beings were just too fierce and powerful.

If they attacked humanity, wouldn’t disaster follow suit?

Lu Yuan declared that he would personally make a move, and everyone simply needed to wait until then. The other territories could be set aside for now, but Mount Tai was different.

Mount Tai was crucial to his plans; it could not fall into the hands of those beings from the Outer Cosmos.

However, Elder Ji and Elder Yun remained worried. The Nether Bulls were just too strong, and they truly couldn’t see any way out of this. Perhaps a nuke could help address the issue at the critical juncture, but even a nuke’s effectiveness against those beings remained unclear.

For now, they had to assuage the people and address the world. This wasn’t difficult, and they soon made their decision. In no time, they announced Lu Yuan’s decision to make a move if those beings decided to attack Mount Tai.

The announcement sparked heated discussions, and even foreign countries paid attention, as they faced the same situation with no means to deal with the invaders.

The world had long acknowledged Lu Yuan as its strongest Awakened, and perhaps only he could change the situation.

However, those abroad thought otherwise.

└ I’m honestly convinced that Huaxia’s King Lu can’t do anything against those things. I mean, come on, the beast kings they hunted down one by one couldn’t even fight back.

└ Yeah, they literally descended from outer space. They’re like straight out of myths.

└ We should just accept the harsh reality and lie low. We can’t afford to fight them.

└ These foreigners are talking nonsense again.

└ That’s right. King Lu is the world’s strongest Awakened. He survived a nuke and crushed the Three Immortal Islands into submission. He’s like the embodiment of power itself.

└ I believe in him, too. If those Nether Bulls show up at Mount Tai, King Lu can definitely overpower them.

Huaxia’s Awakened believed the foreigners were being too pessimistic. They weren’t willing to resist at all and were actually willing to just accept the so-called harsh reality.

However, the people of Huaxia believed in Lu Yuan’s strength. Of course, some remained nervous and uncertain.

King Lu was invincible on Earth, but they were dealing with beings from the Outer Cosmos.

Regardless of how heated the discussions became, it all remained mere rabble. In the end, only the outcome mattered.

Soon, the officials announced that Lu Yuan had agreed to broadcast the entire incident live once the Nether Bulls appeared on Mount Tai.

The entire world would surely witness what happened then.

Time passed bit by bit, and Lu Yuan decided not to enter closed-door seclusion. He continued to familiarize himself with his newfound power. He had already reached the peak of the Golden Body Realm. The next step was the fifth stage, the Venerable King Realm.

His foundation was deep and unfathomable, but it was an evolution to the next stage, which meant it couldn’t be that easy. At the very least, it was only a matter of time. His foundation was formidable enough to support him in his breakthrough.

Meanwhile, the government kept close watch on the Nether Bulls’ movements.

Unfortunately, they couldn’t really track every single one of them. Tracking them was extremely difficult, and the Nether Bulls also had ways to block any surveillance. It was a troublesome matter to handle, but with the help of Huaxia’s Awakened, they still managed to gather some information.

The Nether Bulls seized territories for themselves. They moved quickly and nonstop. Upon killing a beast king, they would leave a marker of their territory and proceed to the next location.

As for the starships in outer space, they made no further moves after sending those beings down. They seemed to be waiting for something.

According to Jiang Ningxian and what Lu Yuan knew so far, the Separation of Heaven and Earth prohibited them from descending in large numbers. For now, the Separation of Heaven and Earth protected Earth’s living beings.

Their silence allowed the world to focus entirely on Mount Tai.

Half a month later, someone published a certain piece of news.

One of the Nether Bulls from the Thunderflash Starfield is heading toward Mount Tai!

└ Based on its speed, it should arrive within three days.

└ King Lu is there to protect it. Are we really going to witness a fight?

The world watched closely and searched for any information they could find about the Nether Bulls. The officials learned of it as well, and they decided to start the livestream, deploying drones around Mount Tai to cover every angle.

A few Awakened rushed over to witness the battle with their own eyes. Of course, they maintained a safe distance from Mount Tai.

Everyone knew that this could be the first major battle between Earth’s living beings and beings from the Outer Cosmos.

No one knew what the outcome would be, not even those who had absolute confidence in Lu Yuan.

Today, about a hundred miles from Mount Tai. A powerful aura emerged as black energy swept across the land. An enormous Nether Bull appeared, and its flesh wings stirred up powerful gales as it made its way to Mount Tai.

It looked fierce and terrifying. Wherever it passed, mutated beasts would flee for their lives.

「It’s here. It’s really here!」

「That Nether Bull should be at the Venerable King Realm.」

「It’s definitely at the fifth stage of evolution. How terrifying. Can they really handle it?」

「I heard King Lu has also reached the Golden Body Realm. He has become significantly stronger than before.」

People tracked every moment, and they watched as the Nether Bull entered Mount Tai. The livestream was made possible by state-of-the-art equipment that allowed everyone to have a clear view of everything at every single angle.

The Spirit Monkey, the Peacock King, and the Nine-tailed Fox King stood with serious expressions at Jade Emperor Peak. The Nether Bull in the distance was much stronger than they were.

They were no match for it.

「Wait, why does it look like there’s another mass of black energy?”」

A viewer noticed something wrong on the livestream. Everyone’s faces changed when they noticed what was going on. The few Awakened near Mount Tai noticed it as well, and they stared at the horizon with wide eyes.

「There are two more masses of the same energy approaching Mount Tai. Could it be that a total of three Nether Bulls are going to Mount Tai at the same time?」
