Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

The purple-robed figure on the ship finally became clear; it was a man. Two more people appeared beside him—a man and a woman, dressed respectively in a white robe and a blue robe.

Their attire resembled that of the common attire in ancient times, and they stood at the ship’s bow with their hands behind their backs.

They all radiated powerful auras.

”I’m warning you again! Stop right there! If you wish to come ashore, declare your identity first!” the Ice Fairy shouted, choosing not to explode in anger despite the patrol boat being capsized.

Even though the other party had shown a hint of hostility, there were no orders from above yet, and those people looked dangerous as well. She didn’t want to venture beyond the point of no return, so she decided to warn them again.

Now, she was certain that those people on the ship could hear her.

However, the three continued to ignore her, and the ship remained on its course.

It moved closer, closer, and even closer...

Gu Sang and the Ice Fairy clenched their fists, hesitating on whether to issue a warning shot. Chunyang frowned deeply as well. They could clearly hear them, so why were they ignoring them?

Eventually, the ship slowed down as it reached the shore and came to a halt.

The three figures above said nothing and leaped down. Moments later, more figures appeared on the ship, trailing behind them.

They wore robes of purple, blue, and white, totaling over thirty people. Upon coming ashore, they looked around with curiosity and superiority, even though they were inferior to their three leaders standing at the helm.

”So this is the current mainland? Hmm, the Heaven-Earth energy here is really dense, surpassing that of the islands. We’ll definitely evolve much faster here. It was the right decision to come here.”

”Alright, that’s enough. We’re here with a mission from our sect,” said the purple-robed man at the helm. He looked young, seemingly in his twenties. He had long hair tied up high as if he were living in ancient times.

If someone unaware of the context were here, they’d think he was an actor filming a movie.

”Everyone, please reveal your identities, origin, and purpose for coming here,” Gu Sang said, stepping forward after taking a deep breath. He remained polite, as he knew those on the capsized patrol boat were still alive.

For now, he was not going to condemn them. The most important thing to do at the moment was to learn about their goal.

”The people from the mainland have started evolving, too?” the woman in blue robes remarked with narrowed eyes.

The purple-robed man also looked over, brazenly sweeping his gaze across Chunyang and the others before finally saying, ”We are disciples from the three islands of Penglai, Fangzhang, and Yingzhou.

”We’ve seen the great changes happening to the world, and we know there are great opportunities on the mainland.

”We’ve come here on our sect’s orders, hoping to acquire a place where we can settle and evolve. Naturally, we prefer large plots of land to use.”

”Anyway, it seems you people are not the ones in charge,” said the purple-robed man upon stating their demands. ”Call your elders or have the officials come here.”

The purple-robed man maintained a domineering and arrogant attitude throughout the conversation. He hadn’t revealed much information, but he made it clear that he wanted a huge piece of land.

He also went silent, making it clear that he had no intention of talking to Ice Fairy and the others any further. His demeanor, bearing, and personality couldn’t be compared to those of a modern-day person, making it appear as if he had traveled through time from ancient times.

Among the three, the purple-robed young man was from Penglai, the white-robed young man was from Fangzhang, and the blue-robed young woman was from Yingzhou.

Gu Sang quietly fell into contemplation. He seemed to have seen through what they were trying to say, and it seemed that they wanted to collaborate with them.

However, the Ice Fairy disapproved of their attitude and immediately stepped forward, saying, ”We can talk about that later. You just capsized our patrol boat. Shouldn’t you at least give an explanation for that?”

The Ice Fairy knew that even people from the Outer Cosmos had to be extremely polite if they wanted to collaborate with the officials; they also had to yield when they had to do so.

However, this group of people was incomparably arrogant, disrespectful even.

”An explanation? They charged at our ship, so why would we be the ones to explain?” the blue-robed young woman retorted. She then brandished a sword and stepped forward, saying, ”We’re already kind enough to keep them alive.”

”We’re done talking here. Tell your elders to come here,” she added, looking as arrogant and domineering as ever while showing a hint of impatience as well.

The people from the mainland referred to Penglai, Yingzhou, and Fangzhang as the ”Three Immortal Islands” in the distant past, so the blue-robed young woman looked down on the Ice Fairy and the others by virtue of the fact that they were from the mainland.

”We called out to you from afar, but you turned a deaf ear to us. And now you’re blaming us for approaching you?” the Ice Fairy retorted. Her personality did not allow her to tolerate the blue-robed young woman’s arrogance.

”How noisy...” The blue-robed young woman furrowed her elegant brows. Then, she stepped forward without hesitation. A powerful aura emanated from her, telling everyone that she was an Unfettered Realm expert.

She appeared before the Ice Fairy in the blink of an eye, raising her right hand high to slap her in the face.

”Junior Ji!” Gu Sang shouted, rushing forward.

In response, the white-robed man moved, throwing a punch at him.

Famous for his physique, Gu Sang did not retreat and threw out a punch as well.

Boom!

The two fists collided, but Gu Sang was only at the Awakened Realm, while the white-robed man from Fangzhang was at the Unfettered Realm, so Gu Sang was immediately suppressed.

Swoosh!

A cold wave of energy erupted from the Ice Fairy, allowing her to barely dodge the slap.

”As you can see, it’s impossible to talk to these people, Senior Brother Zhao Yuan! Don’t bother wasting words with them, just attack them and force their leaders out!” The blue-robed young woman exclaimed, looking furious. She truly believed that there was nothing amiss with her attitude toward the mainlanders.

”Fine, we’ll do as Junior Sister Zhang Yun says,” replied Zhao Yuan. He was from Penglai. The Three Islands had a great relationship with each other, so they addressed each other as ”senior” and ”junior.”

Zhao Yuan also seemed unwilling to continue wasting words. He glanced at the people behind him, hinting at them to show these people the power of the Three Islands.

So what if the mainlanders had begun evolving as well? The Three Immortal Islands had been hiding in a folded space this entire time, and they had begun their evolution a long time ago. There was no need for them to be polite to anyone.

Upon seeing the look on Zhao Yuan’s face, the thirty-plus disciples from the Three Immortal Islands stepped forward. All of them were at the Awakened Realm, and their combined might culminated in a tempest.

”Attack!” Chunyang exclaimed, ordering the armed forces to attack.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A barrage of bullets flew toward the people from the Three Islands. Zhao Yuan had no idea what they were, but he sensed that they were dangerous. He joined hands with the other two to execute a special technique.

The sea surface behind them rose, generating towering waves to block the bullets.

The Ice Fairy tried to freeze the water, but the waves were too massive and time was too short.

Boom!

The waves swept away everyone on the shore. The people from the Three Islands rushed forward, producing ropes to bind Gu Sang, Ice Fairy, and the others.

They had to prioritize binding the powerful Gu Sang, Ice Fairy, and the others using ropes that even the Awakened could not easily destroy. In just ten minutes, almost a hundred soldiers were either dead or injured.

The people from the Three Islands emerged victorious, but of course, they also suffered a few casualties beneath the barrage of bullets.

”Are those the weapons they use on the mainland?” Zhao Yuan asked, examining a gun with cold eyes.

”It’s just some fancy tricks. To become truly strong, one must evolve rather than patronize something like this.” Zhang Yun replied with a scoff. Furious at seeing the injuries her fellow disciples had suffered, Zhang Yun turned to Zhao Yuan and said, ”I must kill a few more of them, Senior Brother Zhao Yuan!”

”Go ahead; there’s no need for mercy, but keep those three alive,” replied the white-robed man from Fangzhang before pointing at Ice Fairy and the others.

They had come with a mission from their sect, so they could not kill everyone here.

”Great!” Zhang Yun said and immediately made her move, killing over ten more people without any hesitation.

The eyes of Ice Fairy and the others immediately turned red at the sight. They tried to break the ropes binding them, but it was to no avail. In the end, they could only watch the slaughter unfolding before them.

”Don’t bother trying. The Immortal-Binding Rope is made from the bark of a spirit tree cultivated by our sect,” Zhang Yun said, gazing at them with clear mockery in her eyes. Of course, the Immortal-Binding Rope couldn’t actually bind immortals, but it was enough against Awakened Realm experts.

”Speak! What exactly do you want?!” Chunyang exclaimed. Then, he took a deep breath. Despite being a man of spiritual practice, he couldn’t help but express his rage.

”Nothing much. From today on, a portion of the mainland must belong to our Three Immortal Islands,” Zhao Yuan said, walking over to explain. In other words, the mainland had to give up land for the Three Immortal Islands to control.

Of course, he knew there was no point in talking to these few people, so he decided to release one person to seek someone who could make decisions for the entire mainland, while keeping the others as hostages.

After hearing that, Chunyang and Gu Sang unanimously decided to let the Ice Fairy leave. They wanted her to leave, as no one knew what fate awaited those who stayed. In addition, now wasn’t the time to hesitate. They had already notified the officials, but they still needed to make it clear that these visitors were hostile.

The Ice Fairy understood that and knew it wasn’t the time to be willful. After being released from the Immortal-Binding Rope, she looked at Chunyang and the others, saying, ”Wait for me.”

With that, she left to report this matter to Elder Ji.

”Remember, you have seven days at most,” said Zhang Yun from Yingzhou. Her words sounded extremely cold. The three then sent people away to learn more about the mainland in preparation for what would come next.

Time trickled by bit by bit, and news of what had happened here began to spread.

People from the Three Immortal Islands had directly occupied the city on the coast of the Bohai Sea. They were extremely arrogant and domineering, as evidenced by how they immediately attacked at the slightest disagreement.

To make matters even more egregious, they took Chunyang and the others as hostages before demanding massive plots of land as ransom!

The incident sparked heated discussions online, attracting the attention of the entire nation.
