Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

The Mythical Secret Realm was a vast world containing Guang Chengzi’s Dao ground. Occasionally, gusts of wind swept across the land, stirring up clouds of sand, making the distant mountain ranges appear as if they were undulating.

From time to time, wraiths native to the secret realm drifted past, and they all looked horrifying as well as creepy. This place resembled a terrifying, forbidden land, and it was a place no ordinary person could stay in for a long time.

Amidst all this, Lu Yuan stood motionless. His hands were clasped behind his back, and his tone of voice sounded utterly flat, devoid of any fluctuations.

His words elicited no response. Everything remained still.

He chuckled softly. Then, his aura seeped out of him.

Rumble!

The next moment, golden vital qi erupted from him, coiling around him in radiant streams as a boundless power manifested. The ground beneath his feet trembled, seemingly buckling under his powerful aura.

The tremors spread outward like ripples on water.

”King Lu of the Milky Way Starfield, we just arrived here, and we harbor no ill will. We’re going to leave now.” A voice rang out just then, and six figures appeared, standing behind Lu Yuan. It seemed they had recognized that they were in great danger and had decided to come out before anything could happen.

Two were Three-Headed Ghosts, two were Primeval Daemons, and two were Celestials for a total of six. All of them were formidable Venerable Kings, and each exuded an oppressive, god-like aura.

On Earth, they undoubtedly stood at the apex, as Earth had only seen a few Venerable Kings so far. In fact, nearly all Venerable Kings on Earth were from the Outer Cosmos.

Furthermore, Sages could not descend to this world just yet. In other words, Venerable Kings were second only to the Rankers of the great clans from the Outer Cosmos.

Despite that, the six had restrained their auras completely, looking thoroughly humble. Fear gnawed at their hearts, and they dared not provoke the man before them.

”You harbor no ill will?” Lu Yuan smiled, his gaze sweeping over the beings from the Outer Cosmos. ”You’ve been observing me from the shadows, even before I entered this Dao ground.

”Now, tell me—has news of my whereabouts already been sent out?”

These members of the three races had used special ways to hide themselves. Even powerful Awakened could not possibly detect them, but Lu Yuan was different.

He possessed the Martial Dao Heavenly Eyes.

All illusions and deceptions were laid bare before him. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have remained still after Zhu Qingyu and the others had departed.

He had known all along that someone was tailing him. As for who had sent them, the answer was obvious—the Rankers of those three races.

Lu Yuan had known from the very beginning that this expedition to the Kongtong Mountains wouldn’t be that easy. Now, his suspicions were finally confirmed.

”King Lu, it is by sheer coincidence that we are here. Surely you won’t monopolize this Dao ground, will you? Are you not going to let us inside?” asked one of the Celestials. He was in his combat mode, and his wings thrummed with the power of both wind and lightning.

He strongly resembled Winged Celestial God, yet he was far more powerful, as his bloodline was far more concentrated. After all, he had come directly from the Outer Cosmos, so the two couldn’t be compared to each other at all.

”Indeed, we’re backing down and have stated our intention to leave,” added one of the Three-Headed Ghosts. All three of his heads revealed furious expressions, clearly displeased with the situation, and his gaze even carried a hint of hostility.

They had crossed a vast distance to arrive here, and they descended with the demeanor and mindset of superior beings. So what if their opponent was powerful?

They hadn’t done anything wrong.

Besides, many others had entered Guang Chengzi’s Dao ground as well. Hence, even though fear lingered in their hearts, they refused to grovel. In short, they believed Lu Yuan wouldn’t actually make a move against them under these circumstances.

The six became silent and began a slow retreat. They were formidable in their own right and had their own trump cards, but even so, they truly dared not provoke the man before them.

”Did I say you could leave?” Lu Yuan’s voice cut through the air. ”Do you really think I’m unaware of what you’re scheming?”

He had no intention of wasting more words. He took a single step forward, and golden vital qi immediately erupted from him.

They had been following him to monitor his movements. Their goals were as clear as day, so why would he exercise restraint? That was not his nature as well. With that in mind, he decisively attacked.

Rumble!

A boundless wave of energy swept out of Lu Yuan alongside his golden vital qi.

This is bad!

Terror seized the hearts of the six. Never had they imagined that Lu Yuan would actually dare to attack them.

”Let’s fight back! I refuse to believe he can cut us all down by himself!” one of the Celestials shouted, and their wings beat furiously in response. Wind and lightning exploded from within him, and arcs of electricity shrouded him. The next instant, a tempest manifested, engulfing the surroundings.

The five others decisively unleashed their own moves as well. They had heard a lot about the man before them, and they were aware of his strength. They could not afford to be careless against him.

In an instant, all six attacked in unison. Waves of energy erupted and shook the very earth, yet Lu Yuan’s expression did not change in the slightest.

Facing them all, he simply threw a single punch.

Boom!

The air itself collapsed into a raging tidal wave that obliterated vast swathes of the ground in its wake.

Like a hurricane tearing across the land, the tidal wave surged forward. The six who had just joined forces paled instantly at the sight and poured everything they had into defending themselves.

Rumble!

A thunderous boom reverberated as the raging tidal wave made from Lu Yuan’s fist detonated. The ground hundreds of meters in every direction collapsed at the moment of impact.

The moment the six made contact with that raging tidal wave, their faces went paler than white, and then they were blasted away.

All of them were Venerable Kings; they were true experts, but they were swept away as if they were mere autumn leaves before a gale.

The twin wings of wind and lightning on the two Celestials exploded, and blood sprayed across the air. The fog shrouding the Primeval Daemons was blasted apart, revealing their cracked fleshly bodies, and the heads of the Three-Headed Ghosts disintegrated into powder.

The scene was nothing short of catastrophic.

After a single strike, the earth lay scarred and broken. The six beings from the Outer Cosmos were strewn across the ground in disarray, with their auras weakened to the extreme.

Lu Yuan used only one move to cripple them all. Now, they were barely alive.

Despite being at the Golden Body Realm, he could crush those an entire stage above him. Upon making another breakthrough, he naturally became even more terrifying than ever.

The outcome completely exceeded the expectations of the six. Still, they were beings from the Outer Cosmos and held on for a moment longer.

”How... how can he be this powerful?”

”He’s not at the Golden Body Realm! Cough! Cough... He is at the Venerable King Realm. He must be a Venerable King!”

”He’s really strong. Does this not mean he could rival even the Rankers of our clans? How could the Milky Way Starfield produce such a figure in such a short period of time?”

They were stunned. The elders of their clans had calculated precisely when Earth would awaken. To ensure they arrived before any true powerhouses could emerge, they departed early.

They intended to use their overwhelming foundations to suppress this world, and they all assumed their formidable strength would allow them to dominate everyone on Earth.

They thought there would be no need for their Rankers to act.

However, who could have predicted that someone like Lu Yuan would appear? His rate of evolution was just terrifying. While everyone else in this world struggled at the second or the third stage of evolution, he had already reached the fifth.

”I told you once before—if you provoke me of your own accord, I will show you no mercy.” Lu Yuan approached slowly, looking utterly calm. Rather than wait for others to scheme against him, it was better to strike first.

Conveniently, he could make examples of the six before him.

In the end, he said nothing more. Facing the six who were barely alive, his heart that had long since completed its transformation, erupted with the power of the Great Sun’s Furnace. Boom!

A boundless aura swept out of him, and the six immediately felt as if they were facing an ancient, primordial beast.

They crumbled inch by inch, and then they were abruptly annihilated.

Just like that, six Venerable Kings from the Outer Cosmos were killed before they could even deploy their special techniques. Before Lu Yuan, not even their corpses remained.

Lu Yuan’s gaze remained unchanged throughout the ordeal. He slowly looked up and stared at the faintly visible hall in the distance.

They sent only their people to track me down. It seems they’re already getting busy. He easily deduced the goal of those so-called Rankers. Their scheme was hardly sophisticated. A mere moment of contemplation made everything clear to him.

As for his own goal, it was also that great hall. He was curious about what the legendary Immortal, Guang Chengzi, had left behind. Conveniently, he could resolve the matter at hand along the way.

Lu Yuan took a single step forward and soared into the sky, streaking toward the distant hall.

As for the wraiths he had encountered along the way, he chose not to kill them.

However, he hadn’t spared them for any particular reason. He simply found the endeavor to be quite troublesome. Besides, the Heaven-Earth Spiritual Energy they contained was of little use for someone at his level.

Why waste time on them then?

Somewhere else, a great hall stood, rising some ten-odd stories high. A single glance at it was enough to make anyone deduce that it was built a long time ago and had endured a fair share of the ruthless passage of time.

Numerous wraiths wandered around the perimeter of the great hall, and they seemed to possess a certain degree of self-awareness, as they would stop outsiders from entering the great hall.

The great hall’s gate remained tightly shut, and it looked so heavy that it seemed like one could possibly force it open.

Just then, three formidable auras drew close. One of the three halted. It was Lei Xuan of the Celestial Race. His brows were knitted, and he looked solemn.

”The ones we sent to track that human, Lu Yuan, are all dead,” he said coldly to the two Rankers beside him. They already knew the culprit.

”My two clansmen are dead as well,” The Primeval Daemon Ranker said, his eyes narrowing with killing intent.

However, the two couldn’t understand how Lu Yuan had discovered their clansmen’s whereabouts. They had employed a mysterious concealment technique, but it appeared to be completely ineffective against him.

”That Lu Yuan is stronger than we had anticipated,” the Three-Headed Ghost Ranker said with grim realization. Many of his own clansmen had already fallen at Lu Yuan’s hands, so he knew that he was not an easy foe.

Both his talent and his strength were exceptional and could compare to a Ranker. Considering the unique conditions of this world, his future achievements could only be imagined.

”That’s why we cannot let him live. Otherwise, he’ll become a disaster for us in the future,” Lei Xuan replied with a cold gaze. The killing intent in his heart grew even denser. If Lu Yuan were allowed to keep growing, there would be no telling how he could affect the three great races.

Moreover, their elders had already issued a formal order to kill Lu Yuan. In other words, they could no longer tolerate his continued existence!
