System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

If it doesn’t work, replace all the nurses in the emergency surgery room.

If that still doesn’t work, the hospital can recruit another batch of nurses for you without any issue...

Every chief physician in the hospital can do this; the hospital will do whatever it takes for Lu Cheng, and no one will doubt it.

...

Once the microsurgery instruments are brought up, most people find them somewhat mystical and eerie.

Microsurgery instruments, as the name suggests, are instruments for microsurgery.

Who are the people coming here?

Chen Song, a professor at the Trauma Center of Xiangya Second Hospital.

Dai Linfang, a PhD from the original Hepatobiliary Surgery.

Xue Yunfei, an associate professor of Hepatobiliary Surgery at Union Hospital.

Zhang Boyuan, a PhD in Trauma Surgery from Huashan Hospital...

They have all only dabbled in microsurgery, perhaps just recognizing the instruments for it.

With the movable magnifying glasses on, Lu Cheng held the fine surgical instruments and began to manipulate the delicate nerve endings...

Then he applied some techniques from hand surgery.

For instance, nerve embedding; nerve and vascular repositioning.

To outsiders, Lu Cheng’s operation seemed like he was going crazy, moving around a very small opening...

So, nearly an hour passed, and Professor Chen Song’s liver preservation surgery was almost done.

Lu Cheng then barely finished his local operation, and no one knew what he was doing.

Of course, Xue Yunfei, with a good enough view thanks to the monitors, could see the detailed manipulations Lu Cheng was performing on stage.

It was nothing but point manipulation.

The details of the operation were exceptionally meticulous, hardly visible to the naked eye.

Without magnifiers and monitors, he certainly wouldn’t have been able to see clearly.

Xue Yunfei’s chin trembled; it was his first time trembling at another person’s operation, feeling nerves in his scalp being stimulated.

The sensation of tingling was very clear.

It felt like a cool sensation spreading across the cerebral cortex, starting from the scalp and then throughout the body.

After the operation, Lu Cheng checked around again and sighed, saying, ”It looks pretty good, although we’re uncertain about its exact usefulness, but it definitely won’t impair the patient’s spleen function.”

”Next time, I think we can treat a patient with compromised immune function.”

”Or, two of us can go to the Rheumatic Immunology Department to find a model of a patient with spleen dysfunction and transfer it to an animal model.”

Dai Linfang was still acting, and performing the whole act: ”So you’re just spouting nonsense now?”

”Hmm, just practicing operation,” Lu Cheng nodded considerately.

Gulp, gulp!

Dai Linfang sneered, seemingly at odds with Lu Cheng: ”To practice your operation, you confuse all of us?”

”You’re really something!”

Lu Cheng: ”Aren’t we brothers? Everyone here is my teacher; surely they won’t mind.”

Then Lu Cheng looked at Chen Song: ”Teacher Chen, are you almost finished over there? Then I’ll start wrapping up, we can step down together.”

”As you wish!~” Chen Song’s voice was stiff.

Truth be told, Functional Reconstruction Skill, or organ function reconstruction, is only a long-term plan for the research team.

Chen Song believed that Lu Cheng might work on it in the future, but never thought he’d start now!

Digestive and immune functions differ from hand motor functions.

They’re not as apparent.

In other words, regardless of how well you do, it can’t present itself in the short term, taking a long time to be evident.

So far, no general surgeon has claimed to be doing any functional reconstruction...

Yet, somehow, Lu Cheng has strangely integrated hand surgery techniques with general surgery techniques.

Chen Song did not doubt Lu Cheng’s words.

If Lu Cheng doesn’t have solid confidence, he wouldn’t dare to casually attempt something in the clinic.

Every attempt Lu Cheng makes is after ample preparation before he’s willing to show it to them.

No, that was the old Lu Cheng.

Now, Lu Cheng won’t even show them...

”Anyway, here in microsurgery, it’s just you; even if you mess around, we can’t understand it.”

”Oh, Xiao Dai counts as half a person.” Chen Song’s words were precise, operation still meticulous.

Chen Song’s operation was considered beautiful by others.

Because they could understand, therefore, empathize.

”Next time when doing limb preservation surgery with other teachers, please also come and guide us, Teacher Chen,” Lu Cheng said.

”Teacher Chen, since you’re doing function-related surgeries, those techniques will be hard to avoid.”

Zhang Boyuan finally couldn’t help but exclaim: ”Xiao Lu, do you mean that if we’re to do immune function reconstruction, we must learn hand surgery techniques?”

Though Xue Yunfei didn’t speak, his glare was fiery at this moment, directed at Lu Cheng.

His gaze started to burn!

Immune function reconstruction skill, it’s a surgical technique with no concept yet in the field.

At this moment, entering the field!

If you only grasp the theory, you’re an absolute expert and an undeniable authority.

Moreover, Xue Yunfei knows that this specialty will become a top surgical hit in the future!

Patients with impaired immune function and digestive function are truly countless!

The reason for no such patients now is they’re beyond treatment, can’t even be alleviated, only slow further deterioration!

What’s the concept?

Slowing further deterioration avoids immediate starvation!

Alleviation avoids short-term starvation.

Treatable means not starving!

Not starving sounds simple, but achieving it is as challenging as climbing the sky!

In modern society, many are still starving!

”That’s my understanding for now.”

”Given the current understanding of immune function, it’s still about hormone regulation, using drugs to delay it.”

”Though I have an understanding on other levels, I’m not daring enough to claim it can be intervened with surgery...” Lu Cheng responded cautiously.

Zhang Boyuan continued with rapid breathing: ”If perhaps we find these things can be intervened surgically, what does it mean?”

Lu Cheng bowed his head, operating, not answering.

But Chen Song looked at Zhang Boyuan.

Dai Linfang also looked at Zhang Boyuan.

Xue Yunfei also looked at Zhang Boyuan.

What does it mean?

It means that Lu Cheng’s name is definitively entering textbooks soon, maybe not the official ones, but can enter specialized technical textbooks!

It represents the ecstasy of countless patients, heralding the advent of the god of luck for those confined by these diseases.

Lu Cheng did not reply further.

Because, what he conveyed was enough to calm Associate Professor Xue Yunfei, making him become more grounded.

Lu Cheng still held to his statement.

Whether you want to come or not.

If you do want to come, I’ll make you behave, stop fussing here!

Another half-hour ends, the operation finally moved toward its conclusion.

Lu Cheng and Chen Song checked each other’s surgical quality, then concluded: ”Send to recovery room, transfer to ICU, this patient has multiple organ combined injury, postoperative care should be cautious.”

”I’ll talk to the family!”

Dai Linfang immediately dashed out: ”Let me do it, Director Lu... you, take some rest...”

”You need to transport the patient, what are you going for? Come back.” Lu Cheng shouted.

Chen Song said: ”Shall I go? Professor Xue surely has many questions for you.”

Lu Cheng explained: ”Teacher Chen, no rush, I’m a staff member at this hospital, so it would be better if I handle it myself.”

Lu Cheng finished and then bypassed Dai Linfang, heading outside the operating room.

Finally, Chen Song couldn’t hold back, his dignity vanished again: ”If you’re not in a rush, I am!~”

”Hurry the hell up!~”

He’s annoyed by Lu Cheng’s ultimate fishing tactic.

You want baiting, yet no eating.

Even Chen Song was hooked, let alone Xue Yunfei and the others.

Once Lu Cheng left, the operating room exploded with chatter...

Xue Yunfei: ”Xiao Dai, is what Director Lu said true? Can the function of visceral organs truly be reconstructed?”

”Dr. Dai, doesn’t this sound a bit terrifying?”

With a slight pause in his steps, Dai Linfang raised his chin slightly: ”This matter, speaking of it takes a long time, better have Director Lu explain it to you all.”

”I still have to transport the patient.”

Everyone: ”Together, together...”

Dai Linfang felt delighted, thinking to himself, thank you, Brother Lu.

This is Dai Linfang’s knot, his pedestal crumbled since then!

If he could climb up again here??

Dai Linfang could make his teacher stand in punishment—

Little Huang, pour me a glass of water...

”Organ function reconstruction, actually has traces to follow...”
