Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

The second negotiation between Luo Ze Empire and Wansheng Country is scheduled to take place three days later.

In the meantime, both sides need to calm down and sort through the negotiation topics to be discussed next.

In the past few days, Latis has been leading the Luo Ze Empire’s negotiation team in thoroughly discussing the upcoming ”attack” strategy.

From the last meeting, they realized that the Colorful-haired Masked Man is difficult to deal with; his temperament is extraordinary, and crooked paths won’t open any cracks.

To fight for the empire’s interests, the journey is arduous.

Yet, while the Luo Ze Empire is enthusiastically discussing, they received reports that the Wansheng Country’s negotiation team hasn’t held any meetings.

The Colorful-haired Masked Man surprisingly started wandering aimlessly around the city with his team.

Even more unexpectedly, they wandered for three days.

Every day, during the day Yang Yu took the negotiation team to tour the city; at night, they ate their fill and slept, showing no signs of holding any meetings.

The Luo Ze Empire’s negotiation team has no idea what Yang Yu is thinking.

These days, Bai Jin and Iyas received no tasks, obediently staying at their residence, bored, and practicing some skills.

Bai Jin and her team also caught sight of Latis.

Knowing that even the smallest possibility exists, Yang Yu certainly didn’t want them to be recognized by Latis.

Even if it’s dull, they can only endure it.

Iyas and Bai Jin also wish to help Yang Yu in the negotiations, but they are aware of their own capabilities.

Iyas has been living in the Elf Village, having been in the human world for only one or two years, while Bai Jin has traveled all over with her father from a young age and hasn’t been involved with negotiations.

If the two of them intervene, it’s a fortune within misfortune not to cause chaos.

Lotcar isn’t worried about Yang Yu, perhaps Yang Yu has already perceived, thought of things others haven’t anticipated.

Time shifts, and the day of the second negotiation arrives.

Wansheng Country’s elite guards as guardians have been steadfastly at their posts since early.

The Wansheng Country’s negotiation team, groomed and dressed, assembled at the designated location.

Yang Yu emerged from his residence wearing slippers, appearing extremely lazy, and as he approached the negotiation team, he greeted them:

”Good morning, everyone, are you all ready? Don’t look so serious, just trust me.”

Most of the Wansheng Country’s negotiation team members remained silent, merely nodding in greeting.

On the day of the contact, they were all present; they witnessed the moment when Ming Dalak and Emperor Wanzhang Lion granted authority to Yang Yu.

Now, Yang Yu is the undeniable, highly authoritative negotiation head among them.

Until the ceasefire agreement is signed, he can do as he pleases.

”Let’s go.”

Walking at the front of the team, after taking just two steps, Yang Yu suddenly seemed to remember something, asked the negotiation team to wait, and walked up to Bai Jin and Iyas, scratching his head and smiling:

”Mu Jin, Yellow Flower, dear Elf Ladies, thank you for all your hard work.”

The negotiation will conclude today.

Once it’s over, you can return to your long-yearned-for hometown.

After the ceasefire agreement is signed, there will be a lot to deal with; it might take ten days or half a month to finish.

I once asked you if you wanted to stay with me, to live together, but you refused so ruthlessly.

You said serving the Elf Queen was better. Ah, am I really that lacking in charm?”

Yang Yu chuckled awkwardly.

Bai Jin took a step forward, intending to say something, but Yang Yu immediately gestured for her not to speak and said, ”You don’t need to comfort me; I know myself well.”

”In short, things might take a lot of time afterward.”

”You don’t need to continue protecting me, and if you wait for me, you might not know how long it will be until you can return home.”

”The war has already ended.”

”I’ve fully taken over everything here. Soon, pack up your things, say goodbye to me, and then leave on Lotcar.”

”Once you return to Elf Village, give my regards to the Elf Queen. Then...”

Yang Yu retrieved a letter and a gift box from the system and handed them to Bai Jin:

”Deliver this letter and this gift to the Elf Queen. Cough, cough, it’s not a love letter; if you don’t believe me, you can open it later to check.”

”That’s all I have to say.”

Once you’ve packed, you don’t have to wait for me; just inform the Guardian Team captain.”

Bai Jin touched the envelope; she could feel a note-shaped item inside, in addition to the letter, and the gift box Yang Yu gave was extremely small, only the size of a notebook.

Before Bai Jin could speak, Iyas lowered her head first to express thanks to Yang Yu:

”Thank you, Potato Thorn General, for all your care this year. Also, thank you for fulfilling our wish; I can’t wait to return home and see my brother, preventing him from being snatched away by bad women.”

Seeing this, Bai Jin also naturally bowed slightly to Yang Yu to show gratitude: ”Thank you, General, my magic skills have progressed, making me, who originally hated magic, appreciate its beauty. I must work harder to learn magic. I’m also impatient to show magic to the Queen.”

”That’s wonderful, that’s wonderful.”

Yang Yu stretched lazily, leisurely walked towards the negotiation team, and led them back to the negotiation venue.

Store the box and letter in the Storage Magic Array, Bai Jin and Iyas couldn’t help but smile.

”Finally, we can go home; I’m so looking forward to seeing the Queen.”

”We successfully completed the task; the Queen will surely praise us.”

The two laughed and returned to their residence, then proceeded to pack up, pretending to be busy.

Bai Jin mentioned wanting to change clothes, while Iyas slowly closed the curtains.

Afterward, Bai Jin immediately cast a Barrier that could block sound.

Yang Yu had never informed Bai Jin or her team of his plans, but saying so many inexplicable things in front of those beastmen must have some deeper meaning.

There’s a big event coming soon; Yang Yu hopes they prepare in advance.

Bai Jin and Iyas anticipated this.

To quickly confirm what Yang Yu intends, Iyas and Bai Jin each held an item.

Iyas opened the gift box first; inside, there was only a folded piece of paper which, upon opening, revealed a map.

A somewhat rough, purely hand-drawn map with ”Marzic” labeled in the upper right corner, and a compass direction in the upper left.

This map is unmistakably the city’s map.

Bai Jin opened the letter, and from the envelope fell half of a note Yang Yu had taken out on the carriage.

Bending down, she picked up the note, her eyes quickly scanning it, and Bai Jin’s expression changed slightly; as she read the letter, she understood what might happen next and what Yang Yu intended.

Bai Jin immediately spoke to Iyas:

”Iyas, tidy up, go and speak to Baihua Binfen. I’ll find Lotcar.”
