Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Before launching an attack on Bai Jin and her party, Changliu River imbued the warhammer with a series of Holy Light enhancements, the Holy Light covering the warhammer burned fiercely like a flame.

[Shield Block] can block the physical damage caused by the swinging warhammer, but it can’t stop the fiercely burning Holy Light flames.

The dazzling Holy Light flames crept along the shield, searing into the body, yet Yang Yu didn’t even flinch.

Changliu River swung the iron hammer fiercely at Yang Yu, his eyes full of resentment, completely unaware that Yang Yu would use his speed advantage to do such a shameless thing:

”You scoundrel, give back the [Holy Light Acceleration Stone], that thing is a Holy Artifact.”

Hiding behind the heavy Flame Dragon Shield, Yang Yu snorted disdainfully:

”If it’s a Holy Artifact, then keep it safe; don’t expose it so easily.

Besides, you want our lives.

Given that, don’t pretend to lecture us on morals here.”

”That’s because you’re a bunch of demons.”

Changliu River increased the force with which he wielded the warhammer, each blow carrying a certain range of damage. He knew that even if Yang Yu dodged, he could still inflict tangible harm on him.

However, to Changliu River’s surprise, Yang Yu did not dodge this time. He raised his shield high, allowing Changliu River’s warhammer to go bam against his shield.

Staring directly into Changliu River’s eyes, Yang Yu sneered:

”You call us demons...

Who is really the demon?

We merely wish to live peacefully on this land.”

Changliu River didn’t respond to Yang Yu’s words; instead, the force in his hands increased once more.

He wasn’t sure if he could break through Yang Yu’s defense, but he didn’t need to break it.

Kui Yi, who drew dual blades, paid no attention to Yang Yu’s scuffle with Changliu River. Instead, he cast several buffs on himself and, along with the Luo Ze Elite protected by the White Shield, continued to assault Lotcar.

Enduring the sluggishness brought by [Gravity Control], Lotcar led Bai Jin and her company away from Yang Yu and Changliu River’s battle.

Bai Jin continued to observe the battlefield situation.

Aslit, wounded in the thigh, used her sword to prop herself up, glaring viciously at Yang Yu. A priest quickly moved towards her, and it was only a matter of time before Aslit resumed her attack.

Taking a deep breath, several Frost Ice Arrows formed in front of Bai Jin. She aimed at a solo advancing Luo Ze Elite, and shot swiftly, first knocking off the White Shield from the Luo Ze Elite and then relentlessly piercing through him.

The surrounding Luo Ze Elites did not falter for a moment because of that one soldier’s fall; they continued to roar, attacking Bai Jin and her group.

Handling each approaching Luo Ze Elite one by one was ultimately too slow.

If things continued like this, the attacking Luo Ze Elites would still engulf them.

Holding the [Holy Light Acceleration Stone], Iyas could feel the Holy Light flowing within it like a spring.

This feeling was exactly the same as when she held the Angel Longbow.

Incredibly, despite it being her first time touching it, Iyas understood how to use it.

It was like an instinct from a distant past era.

Iyas raised the [Holy Light Acceleration Stone] overhead, infusing her own Holy Light into it.

”[Sacred Ripples]”

Before Iyas received the [Holy Light Acceleration Stone], she intended to use this skill.

By using [Sacred Ripples] to push back the attacking Luo Ze Elites, they could gain more breathing room for attack.

Now, Iyas simply followed her body’s instincts, unleashing the skill to its full potential.

Hearing Iyas call out the skill name, Changliu River, who was swinging his warhammer continuously at Yang Yu’s shield, frowned tightly:

”To use [Holy Light Acceleration Stone] for such a low-level skill, truly a waste. Indeed, this is not an object for mortals to touch.”

Just as this thought crossed Changliu River’s mind, a magnificent Holy Light surged from Iyas, enveloping her.

Iyas, glowing brightly, seemed like a goddess descended to the mortal realm; all attacking Luo Ze Elites paused briefly at this moment.

Only one person continued to charge fearlessly towards Lotcar, holding dual blades.

Lotcar’s white mane fluttered; a white, semi-solid creature leaped, turning back to light blue under the radiant Holy Light. It twisted mid-air, separating some blue, viscous droplets that went bam on Kui Yi, who was attacking.

The blue, sticky droplets adhered to Kui Yi, like blobs of glue, greatly reducing his speed.

These negligible seconds allowed Iyas’s skill to be fully released.

In an instant, the Holy Light covering Iyas transformed into a powerful wave, expanding outward from Lotcar’s center, initiating a fierce storm, and repelling all Luo Ze Elites attacking Lotcar.

Some Luo Ze Elites tried using skills to stay in place, but all attempts were futile, swept away by the Holy Light Storm into the distance.

Activating a protective shield and hammering the warhammer into the ground, Changliu River tried to resist the effects brought by [Sacred Ripples] as much as possible, yet he still retreated step by step from Yang Yu.

Despite not wanting to admit it, the woman who raised the [Holy Light Acceleration Stone] indeed possessed stronger Holy Light than him.

This [Sacred Ripples], enhanced by the [Holy Light Acceleration Stone], seemed entirely like a different skill altogether.

In the radiant Holy Light, Changliu River saw Yang Yu put away his shield, slowly drew a sword, a distinct red shot into Yang Yu’s hand, bathing his sword blade in an unusual orange glow.

The next moment, Yang Yu moved.

In an instant, he appeared in front of Changliu River.

The sharp sword edge, like magic, passed through Changliu River’s protective shield; no, to be precise, the moment the shield disappeared, Yang Yu’s sword blade slashed over.

Changliu River’s view turned from golden to blood red.

Yang Yu’s long sword slashed from Changliu River’s forehead to his cheekbone, across his right eye, leaving a long, deep wound.

Changliu River’s vision instantly lost half as he swung his warhammer at Yang Yu, who moved swiftly to avoid the attack effortlessly.

A wound of this degree could be healed immediately using Holy Light Healing.

Even if an arm were severed, as long as the Holy Light was strong, it could still be reattached.

Unfortunately, Yang Yu did not intend to give Changliu River even a moment of respite. Like a beast baring its fangs, he pounced on Changliu River.

Changliu River had a premonition that if he stopped attacking now to heal, there was a high chance he would be suppressed and killed by Yang Yu.

Raising his warhammer, Changliu River also emitted Holy Light, activating [Sacred Ripples].

However, compared to the Holy Light emanating from Iyas, this Holy Light was much weaker.
