Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Sheathing his sword, Yang Yu turned to leave.

”Get that eye treated quickly, or you’ll risk losing your sight.”

As Yang Yu left, Liu Chuan propped up his battered body with his warhammer:

”Why didn’t you strike? Why spare my life?

You clearly have the strength...

Is it pity for me? Would you really have mercy on us?

...Sparing my life, you will surely regret today’s actions.”

Yang Yu slightly turned his face, glancing at Liu Chuan, who hadn’t started healing and was still gripping his warhammer, ready to attack at any moment. He sneered:

”If you insist on seeking death, I won’t stop you. If you dare to attack again, I will send you straight to Hell.

As for... pity?

Do I look like such a person to you?

Why spare your life? Perhaps I believe the power within you will eventually be useful.

You call us demons, but you haven’t seen a real demon yet.”

”So you say, as if you’ve seen a real demon yourself...”

”Just the tip of the iceberg,” Yang Yu interrupted before Liu Chuan could finish. ”Do you really understand the cause behind this war?”

Liu Chuan furrowed his brows, unsure how to answer Yang Yu’s question.

Yang Yu whistled towards the distance at Lotcar, smiling as he started walking again:

”I still have many things I can’t see through, but at least now I have grasped some clues to truly stop the war between the two countries.

Whether you believe it or not, this is my sincere intention.

For this, I have even become somewhat unscrupulous...

I used to think I could do it alone, but things are different now.

If you don’t want your country to fall into the abyss, take the remaining Luo Ze Elite back.

If you keep trying to stop us, there might be nothing left in the end.

This is the first piece of advice.

Moreover, there’s another piece of advice.

Beware of women.

The prettier the woman, the more likely they are to deceive.”

After speaking, the massive Lotcar ran up to Yang Yu.

Countless Luo Ze soldiers around stood alert as Yang Yu climbed onto Lotcar’s back amidst all the eyes watching.

”Wait! What exactly do you mean by this?”

Liu Chuan ignored the pain and shouted inquiringly, but Yang Yu did not respond. He patted Lotcar’s back, and Lotcar, along with Iyas and Bai Jin, charged through the Luo Ze Elite attempting to block them and left.

On the scene, only Liu Chuan clutching his right eye and a group of Luo Ze soldiers remained, unsure of what to do.

Far from the city ambushed by Luo Ze Elite, Yang Yu secretly sighed in relief.

All indications show that the Luo Ze Empire is determined to wipe them out, and every Luo Ze Elite seems ready to die for their cause.

If the Luo Ze Elite truly risked everything, fighting to the last man, the result would be hard to say.

Ending the battle so soon owes much to the [Holy Light Acceleration Stone] that Liu Chuan brought.

”Yellow Flower, let me see what I tossed you; I’ll appraise it in detail again.”

”Okay.” Iyas hurriedly pulled out the [Holy Light Acceleration Stone] from her bosom and handed it to Yang Yu.

The [Holy Light Acceleration Stone] appeared to be an extremely ordinary oval white stone. Hung on the waist, it would likely be mistaken for a Blessing Stone for prayers.

If he hadn’t previously studied at the All Things Library when investigating the [Holy Spear - Fallen Stab] and noticed the description of the [Holy Light Acceleration Stone], Yang Yu might genuinely have regarded it as a useless stone.

[Holy Light Acceleration Stone]

Quality: ???

An Heavenly Stone inscribed with a special array, containing immeasurable sacred power, can enhance the strength of Holy Light Skills and shorten the casting time of Holy Light Skills.

The specific effects and number of uses depend on the user.

The attributes were not bad.

Unfortunately, this [Holy Light Acceleration Stone] ultimately could only be considered ”borrowed,” not legitimately owned.

Some deal will have to be made in the future to formally make it property.

Yang Yu considered if he should return it to Liu Chuan before officially leaving, in exchange for a certain level of goodwill, but he eventually decided against it.

With this piece of equipment, if facing a member of the [Curse Sect] again, the odds of victory would slightly increase.

At least it could guarantee safety for a period of time.

Yang Yu returned the stone to Iyas, reminding her: ”Take care of it.”

”Of course, I think this item is an important treasure for both me and our clan. Find time and let the Queen appraise it.”

”That would be ideal; perhaps it could uncover the hidden story behind it.”

”Where to next?”

Yang Yu placed his hand on his chin, thought for a long time, and made a decision: ”Since the Luo Ze Empire’s elites couldn’t stop us, continue with our task.

The matters on the battlefield are gradually fermenting within the Luo Ze Empire, and soon, under the mediation of the giant dragon, the first negotiation will commence.

There is still a lot to do in the future.

Take everything that should be taken, do everything that should be done, then we can leave without worry.”

Lux Calendar Year 415, December 27th.

A heavy snow fell on the Luo Ze Empire Capital, coating the entire Imperial Palace in white.

In the conference hall of the palace, the crowd was bustling, and a tense meeting was hurriedly taking place.

Battle reports from the front lines kept coming in, causing the brows of the Luo Ze generals present to furrow tightly, filled with resentment. News of the Luo Ze Elite Army’s defeat also spread alongside numerous other reports within the nation.

”Useless! Truly a bunch of useless fools! All the empire’s resources invested in them for nothing, unable to stop even a mere masked man!”

”It’s easy to criticize while sitting, but they too have tried their best. Unfortunately... We have to admit that guy is really too strong. It really makes you wonder why the giant dragon set such a rule; he has harmed so many people, yet remains at large.”

”If I acted myself, I would have crushed him into pulp long ago.”

”Your ability has long exceeded the limits. It’s not just you; many here have. Hence, we’ve formed the decision-making team. Since we’re the decision-making team, we must play our role. We shouldn’t be placing blame; instead, we should be considering the next steps. As you’re complaining, the battlefield situation is worsening.”

”Sigh—Even our elite troops are helpless against them. They’ve surpassed specifications. More troubling is that they possess such powerful skills. We still don’t know the principles behind them. When asking the giant dragon, even the dragons remain silent, only saying they exploited loopholes in the rules like us.”

With various voices filling the meeting room, Emperor Luo Hui, sitting at the head seat, looked at the noisy scene without a word.

He initially thought he wouldn’t have to use the elite troops card to resolve this war smoothly; however, the outcome was far from what he imagined. Even deploying one of the trump cards resulted in no visible effect.

Wansheng Country cannot be allowed to survive.

One day, the ancient prophecy will come true, and Subhumans will one day completely replace humans.

The kings of ancient humans must have been enlightened by the prophecy, launching attacks on various subhumans after the Dark Age ended.

Unfortunately, they only drove the Subhumans to the west of the continent, not completely eliminating them...

This also indirectly shows the resilience of the Subhumans and the daunting task of destroying them.
