Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Just as Yang Yu and Ajiket were discussing the specific details for the next battle, an emergency meeting was being held at Panlong Peak, where the giant dragons resided.

Night had fallen, and there were no signs of any troops launching a surprise attack, so the dragons finally had time to single out Yang Yu’s matter for discussion.

Marie wore a serious expression, her emotions unreadable, and before her, the bubble displayed the tent where Yang Yu was. She briefly recapped everything that had happened today:

”...His actions are entirely within the rules we established. All the points we could argue against are written on this piece of paper.”

The rolled-up paper floated on the light to the center of the dragons, slowly unfurling before them.

Black Dragon Hei Luo gazed at the ruins of Benliang City and spoke: ”I still remember, in spring, Owen did communicate with us, providing answers on several contentious issues. I remember responding to a question about betrayal. For topics without disputes, Owen should have answered them himself.”

Red Dragon Marious scanned the sheet of questions again and said: ”There are obvious signs of tearing on the paper; it seems he wanted to make something out of the answers on the back. Owen, what else did you answer him? Tell me. I wish to see what other tricks he might have.”

Called by Marious, Bronze Dragon Owen straightened his short stature, hiding the intrigue in his heart, and said solemnly:

”There were quite a number of questions answered back then; I cannot recall every single one.

Marie, on the paper you brought back, there are a few discrepancies with the sequence of responses in my memory.

That was half a year ago, and accurately recalling each question is truly difficult.

I just want to ask, do you remember any of the controversial questions we answered?

Or let’s wait until the war is over!

Our duty is to record the history of this world, is it not?

Being overly curious about him now is not a matter a dragon should concern themselves with.

If you want to know, wait until this war is over and consult my magic power records.”

Marie originally wanted to say something, but the meaning of Bronze Dragon Owen’s words was identical to what the Dragon King said last time.

As Owen said, respecting the course of history and not interfering too much is what dragons should do.

Marie let out a long sigh, as she was older than any of the other dragons present, naturally needing to set an example.

”Although that man indeed triggered such a huge disaster, he still acted within the scope of rules we set.

In this sense, I have already directly intervened in history, breaking ancient agreements.

How to handle this is all up to the Council President.”

All the dragons’ gaze focused on the golden dragon shadow in the shadows, sitting next to the main seat, listening in.

A male Dragon-man, dressed in a white robe with golden patterns and with double horns, turned off the bubble that wasn’t watching the war, stood up, pondered for a long time, and then spoke:

”Marie was also caught up at the moment.

The war rules were established to prevent the repetition of past incidents.

What that human did, although within the rules, he caused a catastrophe in an instant, resulting in countless deaths, which is an indisputable fact.

This shows that the rules we established still have loopholes.

After all, this is the first war since the formation of the modern landscape.

We dragons, while possessing vast knowledge, are often constrained by our past knowledge, unable to cover all aspects.

This cannot be helped.

Due to the existence of ancient contracts, we are forbidden to directly alter the course of history, and at most, we can indirectly influence this world.

Marie, although directly influencing the course of history, I find it understandable.

This time, there will be no pursuit of it.

There are indeed issues with the rules we established, and from your reports, that man still intends to continue with that method...

To stop him, we should promptly adjust the rules, but unfortunately, any rule changes must wait until this war is over...

We can only hope he uses his immense strength reasonably, and if it truly devastates the land, then we might consider taking action.”

”I don’t think there’s any need to worry,” Rose Giant Dragon Merubie said: ”If he’s truly only intending to eliminate enemies, he wouldn’t have said those words on the field, nor chosen that time to execute.

Choosing the deep night, carrying out a silent surprise attack, most soldiers will likely sleep eternally in their dreams.

He realized this loophole and wanted to exploit it as a threat to bring the war to an end, that’s his goal.

Whether to continue using this loophole entirely depends on the Luo Ze Empire’s attitude.

Now, it should be about time; the doubts from Luo Ze Empire should be coming soon.”

Just as the Rose Dragon finished speaking, a unique bubble appeared before the many giant dragons, precisely an inquiry from Luo Ze Empire relayed through an intermediary to the dragons.

A tense emergency meeting was also underway within the Luo Ze Empire.

Upon receiving intelligence of the Colorful-haired Masked Man’s appearance, the prepared assassination squad intended a swift resolution, heading straight for Benliang City.

Yet when they arrived at Benliang City, they saw only the wreckage of Benliang and a dense Beastman Army carrying out the injured of the enemy nation.

The elite assassination squad did not proceed with their original plan but instead transmitted everything they witnessed back home, which immediately caused an uproar.

The Emperor of Luo Ze Empire promptly convened the generals unable to join the battle for an emergency meeting and raised urgent questions with the dragons.

Yet, the dragons’ responses were beyond all their expectations.

A general with a long braid slammed the table in frustration, unable to accept the dragons’ answers.

”The dragons claim they did not violate the rules? How is that possible! This is impossible! Go confirm it again, show the scene our elite forces reported to the dragons! This devastation can only be caused by a Super Large Magic! They must have used Super Large Magic! Using Super Large Magic in this war is against the rules!”

”Calm down for a moment, General Lock Agis.” The Wolshi National General said calmly from his seat, stroking his handlebar mustache, ”When the dragons recognize no breach in rules, it means there truly was no breach. It is exceedingly foolish to question the dragons’ judgment. Accept this reality.”

”Then what on earth happened with the great fire in Benliang City?”

The General Wolishi let out a long sigh and said, ”Though I do not wish to admit it, the Beastmen... no, that man seems to have found a loophole in the rules, bypassed the detection, and successfully executed such an attack.”
