The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1712: Chapter 1712: Nathalie Just Replied to My Message

Beside her hand was also a cup of tea that the butler delivered, but she didn’t drink it. She frowned and shook her head: ”No.”

”He hasn’t contacted me since he arrived in Inderia. Usually, it’s Alfred who contacts me. Alfred hasn’t called me today, probably because he’s busy with something.”

Candice Yancey lifted her chin again, composed and competent: ”I’ll see if he calls me later. If not today, I’ll find time to call and ask tomorrow.”

”Okay.”

Mr. Yancey took a sip of tea, placed the teacup on the table, his eyelids drooping. He wasn’t very spirited, clearly showing his concern for Amadeus Yancey’s safety in Inderia.

Candice showed some helplessness: ”Dad, don’t worry too much. Amadeus is a grown man and can take care of himself. Worrying won’t help. It’s better to relax and take care of your health. That’s the most important thing.”

The old butler happened to come over with cut fruit at this time. Hearing this, he put down the tray and also advised: ”Yes, the young lady is right. You haven’t been eating properly for the past few days. You eat a few bites and then put down the chopsticks, refusing to eat. If this continues, you’ll be worn out before the young master returns.”

”Dad, you...” Candice felt a headache hearing about his eating habits for the past few days. She reached out to her temples and rubbed them, then looked up at him, hesitating, finding it hard to say.

Giordano Yancey’s seniority was well-established.

There weren’t many in Beijing who could lecture him.

As his child, Candice found it harder to speak.

Mr. Yancey was mellowed by her expression, furrowed his brows, feeling a bit restless, and stood up, taking a couple of steps: ”I’m just worried...”

”I didn’t know Nathalie also went to Inderia earlier, and Jackson Wafford, that guy, didn’t inform me of such a big deal.”

The thought of this made Mr. Yancey even more frustrated. He paced a few more steps, turned around, and walked to Candice, his gaze piercing as he asked: ”Fredy Yancey hasn’t discovered why the Yandor Sect took away the Chamber of Commerce Alliance President?”

Candice was momentarily stunned by his gaze, then reacted, shaking her head in confusion: ”How could it be that quick?”

”...” Mr. Yancey withdrew his gaze, his brows furrowing, appearing even more agitated.

Candice looked at him like this, exhaled a breath of turbid air helplessly, and advised him: ”Dad, we’re not a power in Inderia. This issue is so significant that the various forces over there haven’t figured out the inside story. How can we, as outsiders, be the first to find out the reason? Don’t be too anxious. If Cousin finds out, he’ll tell you. Until he does, just wait patiently.”

She then looked at Mr. Yancey, took out the phone and placed it on the table, handing it to him. Smiling, she said in a soothing tone: ”Amadeus hasn’t contacted me, but Nathalie just sent me a message, saying she’s doing well and not to worry, and she’ll be back in a couple of days. Have a look.”

”Let me see.” Mr. Yancey hurriedly picked up the phone she placed on the table and looked intently.

Sure enough, there was a message from Nathalie an hour ago.

The content of Nathalie’s message was almost identical to what Candice said, only more concise, and she mentioned she’d be back around the day after tomorrow.

The day after tomorrow, which means three days from now.

Mr. Yancey slightly eased his mind, handed the phone back to Candice, and his expression noticeably relaxed: ”By the way, have Fredy Yancey continue investigating the Yandor Sect.”
