The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1705: Chapter 1705: Nathalie: Not Exactly Underage

Back when she was studying at No. 1 Middle School in McKinney, Justin Wafford often whispered in her ear about when he was planning to marry Jhovany Sullivan.

She felt inexplicably restless, raised her hand, then put it down halfway. Her fingers tugged at the hem of her clothes, and she felt her reaction was over the top, so she quickly released it. After a long while, she controlled her heartbeat and turned her face away expressionlessly, her voice quite low: ”It’s alright, I’m not that young anymore.”

Amadeus Yancey’s movements paused, and he looked at her in astonishment.

Nathalie Quinlan: ”...”

She wanted to smack herself in the face. Why couldn’t she control her mouth? She always ended up being led by Amadeus Yancey.

Sigh~

But she had already spoken, and she usually stood by her words.

With an expressionless face, Nathalie Quinlan coughed again, stared at the man in front of her, and said with a straightforward expression: ”I’m 18 now.”

Amadeus Yancey gradually regained his composure from his initial shock, looking at her intently, his voice hoarse: ”Nathalie, do you know what you’re saying?”

Hotel room, evening...

Such a dangerous time, such a dangerous place, she’s discussing the topic of adulthood with him here.

Isn’t she trusting him a little too much!

Nathalie Quinlan felt embarrassed, especially since he asked her, so she immediately turned her head aside, pulled out a chair beside her, sat down, and reached for the water nearby to hide her embarrassment: ”I don’t know, just pretend I never said anything.”

”Hmm.” Instead, Amadeus Yancey smiled, grabbing her wrist, his eyes deep as a cold pool, and returned to his lazy tone: ”No, I heard it. Once said, it can’t be unsaid.”

Nathalie Quinlan’s wrist was hot where he held it, and she was about to pull her hand away.

Then she heard Amadeus Yancey’s restrained hoarse voice: ”Wait a little longer, just a bit longer, at least until your birthday.”

It’s already past October this year.

November is just around the corner.

Nathalie Quinlan’s birthday is in August.

Counting it fully, it’s only half a year, not long.

”For your 20th birthday, I’ll talk to the old man about throwing you a big party and inviting a few friends.”

Amadeus Yancey reached out, tidied the girl’s collar, and continued: ”By then, we’ll invite Sadam Vinson and the others, plus your classmates, that guy Justin, your good friends. And your classmates from Tsinghua University, Mr. Norton, that member of the Ingram Family... Everyone will gather on your birthday.”

Nathalie Quinlan initially felt quite restless, mainly because of her own words, making herself a bit parched and uncomfortable.

At this moment, when Amadeus Yancey brought up the topic of her birthday next year, she slightly shifted her focus and felt less embarrassed than before.

”I don’t even know if I’ll celebrate my birthday, maybe I’ll decide then!”

Amadeus Yancey, his eyes a mix of indulgence he himself hadn’t noticed, knew she was using this to divert the topic but followed her lead: ”Hmm, we’ll see then, and we’ll discuss it further.”

Nathalie Quinlan gradually relaxed, let her shoulders down, and nodded.

Amadeus Yancey saw the redness on her earlobes gradually fade, felt a bit regretful, but restrained himself as he withdrew his gaze, and spoke to her leisurely: ”By the way, check your phone later to see if you received the remittance.”

”Huh?” Nathalie Quinlan raised her eyebrow, then asked: ”What remittance?”

Amadeus Yancey’s gaze landed on her dewy lips, paused for a second, then moved away. His Adam’s apple bobbed as he spoke in a hoarse and deep voice: ”The ten billion you spent at the auction, I had Aunt transfer the money into your account.”
