The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1703: Chapter 1703: Jaycent Kingsley Might Be My Brother

Nathalie Quinlan was completely dumbfounded by him, pausing for several seconds before looking at him and asking, ”So after saying all that to me, you just want to ask what my relationship with Jaycent Kingsley is?”

Earlier, at the hotel entrance, he called her Nathalie the Goddess and insisted on talking in the hotel room.

But it turned out he just wanted to ask about Jaycent Kingsley?

Nathalie couldn’t keep up with his pace.

After all, she initially thought Amadeus Yancey would ask why she came to Inderia, or what she was doing in Inderia.

But he didn’t!

He only cared about Jaycent Kingsley from beginning to end!

”Because I really want to know this.” Amadeus Yancey pinched her pinky finger, raised his eyebrows, hardly concealing the emotions in his eyes: ”Because I’m jealous.”

Nathalie: ”...”

She was momentarily unable to react.

When she finally processed what Amadeus Yancey said, her earlobes suddenly became hot, and her gaze shifted to the side.

”There’s really nothing to say, didn’t Jaycent Kingsley already tell you?”

”We’ve been online friends for years.”

Amadeus Yancey lowered his head to play with her fingers; Nathalie’s nails were neatly trimmed, her alabaster fingers long and beautiful.

He lazily leaned his head back with a gentle smile and said nothing.

But his eyes clearly read ’I don’t believe you.’

Nathalie met his gaze for a second before giving in and evading his line of sight, moodily explaining, ”Ah, we’re not just online friends, actually.”

”It’s mainly because I’m not sure about the specifics yet; everything is in the speculation stage right now.”

She reached out to grab her hair, a common habit when she was agitated, but then Nathalie realized her hand was being held.

She bit her lip, deciding not to struggle, and looked into the man’s eyes: ”You know my mother’s name, right?”

”I do, Mrs. Kingsley.” Mentioning Lynette Kingsley, Amadeus Yancey instantly switched from his previously lazy tone to one tinged with earnestness and respect.

Nathalie glanced at him, then continued: ”I found something she left behind through the Black Box you gave me.”

”I brought that thing with me, it’s in my bag.”

Amadeus Yancey released her hand.

Nathalie wasted no words, quickly locating the bag she had brought along, and retrieved the Kingsleys Family emblem to give to him.

Free again, she felt much more at ease, picked up the water bottle she’d left on the table, and once more unscrewed the cap.

However, Nathalie didn’t immediately drink but watched Amadeus Yancey as he toyed with the family emblem with a steady, unhurried tone: ”This is the emblem of the Independent Continent Kingsleys Family. I asked a friend, and she told me the Kingsleys Family had been searching for it for over twenty years, and it turned out to be in a regular storage locker in the Hillwood Library! It was there for twenty years, just sitting there.”

Amadeus Yancey had guessed some of it already, but as everything was confirmed, he still fell into deep thought.

Nathalie took a small sip of water, then put the bottle down and looked at the emblem in his hand once more, her tone softer and more casual: ”So it’s possible that Jaycent Kingsley and I are cousins.”

Amadeus Yancey returned the emblem to her, his eyes dark, asking her, ”Nathalie, apart from telling me about this, have you told anyone else?”

Nathalie’s background was tied to the Independent Continent Kingsleys Family, which broadened the scope of the implications significantly and with great complexity.

He had to eliminate all potential dangers from the onset!

To protect her with all his might.

”No.” Seeing his reaction, Nathalie had a rough idea of Amadeus Yancey’s intentions, and succinctly said, ”I only told you.”

Amadeus Yancey’s brows relaxed, and he reached out to put the emblem back into her bag, then returned the bag to her. His voice was gentle as he advised her, ”Keep that thing safe, don’t let others see it.”

He paused again and, looking at the girl, said: ”And... I’ll help you look into the Kingsleys Family matters!”
