The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1704: Chapter 1704: Jealousy Is Childish, but I Still Get Jealous

Nathalie Quinlan took the bag from his hand, paused for a bit, then opened her mouth: ”Actually, this has nothing to do with you. I can investigate it myself, there’s no need for you to...”

The Kingsleys Family is not easy to mess with.

She had only been in Inderia for a few days and had already realized several times how powerful the Kingsleys Family’s influence is here.

Amadeus Yancey really had no need to get involved because of her.

Nathalie Quinlan was just not used to troubling others.

She had handled everything by herself since she was young, never asking anyone for help. Of course, the Quinlan Family members wouldn’t care for her either.

Suddenly, having someone who wants to face a raging flood with her made her a bit unaccustomed.

And thus, she was somewhat at a loss on how to handle such delicate emotions.

Nathalie Quinlan took a deep breath and raised her eyes with a rather serious look: ”...there’s no need for you to wade into these muddy waters for me. I can handle it myself...”

Just as she finished speaking.

Amadeus Yancey slightly narrowed his eyes, looking at the girl who seemed unsure about what to do with her hands and feet, and chuckled. Under his gaze was a delicate softness, but his voice was lazy: ”I just like wading in muddy waters. If the water isn’t muddy enough, I don’t want to wade!”

Bullshit.

Nathalie Quinlan frowned irritably, not knowing how to talk to him.

”Don’t worry, with me around, I’ll look into this matter with your aunt for you.”

Amadeus Yancey reached out, his fingertip gently smoothing the frown on her forehead. The cool touch from his fingertip dispelled Nathalie Quinlan’s inner irritation, as if a spring breeze had passed by, instantly calming her heart.

”We are not yet sure if your aunt is with the Kingsleys Family, it’s all still speculation. But the Kingsleys Family is definitely not as simple as they appear. If you can avoid them, do so. This isn’t Beijing, and I can’t be like Mr. Norton, staying by your side all the time. They’re too dangerous, and I don’t feel secure.”

Nathalie Quinlan was never afraid of the Kingsleys Family, she feared no one.

But at this very moment, a warm current surged through her heart, and her voice involuntarily lowered: ”I understand.”

”Jaycent Kingsley...” Amadeus Yancey rubbed his forehead, then let go of his hand, laughing helplessly as he found his own jealousy earlier to be somewhat childish. Yet previously, he couldn’t help but grind his teeth.

He looked again at the girl who had her lashes lowered, seemingly pondering something, and spoke softly to her: ”I have someone at the Paradise Hotel. I’ll give you his phone number later. If you encounter a tricky issue when I’m not around, contact him.”

”He, like Felix Kingsley, can mobilize some people here in Inderia if you need help.”

Nathalie Quinlan was still lost in thought.

Amadeus Yancey directly fished out her phone from her pocket, entered Zed Moore’s phone number into it, and handed the phone back to her: ”I have a power here in Inderia beyond the Yancey Family, as you might have guessed when you met Felix Kingsley in America.”

Nathalie Quinlan hadn’t expected him to straightforwardly reveal his private power, moved her lips wanting to say something, but found her throat somewhat dry.

”Actually...”

”You’re my girlfriend, someone I can entrust my back to. I don’t have anything to hide from you; it’s just that I hadn’t found the right time to talk to you about these things.” Amadeus Yancey reached out again, tenderly tucking her short hair behind her ear.

He added: ”You’re still in school, it’ll be fine once you graduate. You’re still young, just a bit too young right now...”

Initially, Nathalie Quinlan didn’t immediately grasp his point completely, but she wasn’t completely clueless and eventually got what he meant.
