The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 670: Chapter 670: Didn’t Nathalie Quinlan Also Take the Exam_1

”Let’s go.” The Tsinghua University president, having settled the matter, felt at ease and in high spirits, said, ”Today, dinner is on me.”

Shawn Norton didn’t say much, turned his head, and looked towards Nathalie Quinlan, his expression gentle as he said to the girl, ”I have reserved a table at the hotel restaurant. Nathalie, let’s head over.”

”Sure.”

Nathalie Quinlan shrugged, expressing no objections, and lifted her leg to follow the two of them.

All the way, the president of Tsinghua University kept looking for various topics to bridge the gap with her. Nathalie occasionally responded as the three of them descended the elevator and walked towards the restaurant direction...

They happened to run into a group of about a dozen people also headed in that direction.

Ivy Wilmar was tilting her head, chatting with Derliand Gober about Ghania Quinlan, while Ghania obediently walked beside them, smiling and responding whenever Derliand or Ivy asked her something.

Her demeanor exuded ease and poise.

This was a far cry from her previous state in McKinney. Even Emilia Sullivan nodded frequently, unable to contain her pride. Ghania truly had seen the world in Beijing, her communication and conversational skills were far superior to some riffraff!

This time, among those who came with them were not only Ivy’s two friends but also several relatives of the Quinlan Family who had arrived earlier.

One aunt’s husband, upon seeing Ghania Quinlan walking with the professor from Tsinghua University, engaging in conversation, couldn’t help but reveal an envious expression. He whispered close to her, ”Is that a professor from Tsinghua University?”

”Yes, that’s Professor Derliand, a renowned domestic financial expert,” Emilia Sullivan glanced at him, asking coolly, ”Haven’t you heard of Professor Derliand?”

The uncle felt somewhat embarrassed, ”Heard, of course, I’ve heard of him. How could I not?”

In reality, it would be a wonder if he had heard of him!

The Quinlan Family, going back three generations, had been poor as church mice, originating from a county town. It was through generations of struggle that Jeff Quinlan’s fortunes rose in recent years.

Many of the family relatives still nestled within the county town to this day, ignorant of the professors of Tsinghua University or their names.

Relatives, ah, they are always like that. If you’re doing well, they are willing to hold you in high esteem, even if they can’t bask in your glory. If you’re down on your luck, even if you bring them gifts every day, they can’t be bothered to give you a second glance.

For the Quinlan family, Ghania’s admission into Tsinghua University was an unprecedented event. Having someone from the family attend a prestigious university brought glory to everyone. Upon coming to McKinney and seeing Emilia and others booking a five-star hotel for a meal and inviting someone like Professor Derliand, their eyes lit up. They showered them with pleasant words, one after another.

”I’ve said before that this girl, Ghania, would achieve great things when she grows up. I heard that only city top scholars and provincial top scholars can attend Tsinghua University, and they earn a lot of money after entering society...”

Emilia Sullivan had always looked down on these relatives of the Quinlan Family. She disdained them during her prosperous times, and now, even when the Quinlans were down on their luck, she still looked down on them. She slightly twisted her mouth and nodded with pride, ”Whether she makes money in the future doesn’t matter. I just hope she lives well and happily.”

”Of course,” the uncle agreed with a nod, then as if remembering something casually brought up, ”I heard Nathalie also participated in the exams this time? Her grades improved after transferring schools. She went to take the exams, and we only heard about Ghania getting admitted. Why haven’t we heard any news about her?”

”Her?” Emilia Sullivan straightened her clothes, her expression indifferent, ”She didn’t pass. Her performance was far behind Ghania’s. She didn’t even make it to the Tsinghua interviews, not sure if she got 400 points.”

”That bad?” The uncle looked surprised, as if he hadn’t expected Nathalie’s performance to be that poor.
