The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 667: Chapter 667: Big Shot, No Other Schools Trying to Poach, Right_1

”Huh?” Nathalie Quinlan didn’t immediately grasp his meaning, and out of habit pulled down the brim of her hat somewhat irritably.

A pair of bright, clear eyes turned towards the Tsinghua University principal, her eyes so beautiful it was as if they could speak.

The principal found himself distracted for a moment, until Shawn Norton coughed to remind him. He hastily gathered his wits, his face tinged with embarrassment as he instinctively touched the bridge of his nose, saying, ”What I mean is, you haven’t changed your mind about wanting to attend Tsinghua University, right?”

When it came to serious matters, he was impressively brisk, not beating around the bush and went straight to the point, ”Nathalie Quinlan, I assume you’ve received quite a few phone calls this morning from schools asking about your college preference. Here’s the thing, we at Tsinghua University definitely want to keep you. You’re well aware of our situation here, with Mr. Norton and Mr. Avalon being absolutely top experts in the country. With them two here, I’m not going to compete with other schools over educational resources...”

His words came out light and breezy, but his boasting was not spared in the least, far from the humble appearance he tried to display.

There was no helping it, the educational field in the country had just two giants, hailed as the ’Great Bear’ of the education world, both stationed at Tsinghua University—could he, the principal, not be proud?

He most certainly was prideful!

Nathalie Quinlan raised her eyebrows, showing no particular reaction but looked meaningfully towards Shawn Norton which made the man blush. Shawn slapped the show-off man beside him, ”Cough, cough, get to the point! Don’t bring me into this, I never claimed to be some top expert; I’m just a music player.”

Tsinghua University principal: ...

True. Music player. Mr. Norton.

Nathalie Quinlan still wore that indifferent expression as she waited for him to continue. The Tsinghua University principal adjusted his mood, focusing his gaze on her intently and eagerly.

”...I won’t go into the details about Tsinghua’s educational resources, you must have already looked into them before choosing our school.”

”What I really want to talk to you about is the scholarship.”

”Huh?” The girl’s attitude was quite nonchalant, apparently not attracted by the prospect of money.

The Tsinghua University principal steeled himself and said, ”This morning, there must have been other schools discussing this matter with you, right?”

As Nathalie Quinlan’s phone began to vibrate, she picked it up and acknowledged without looking at the message, ”Seems like there was one school that mentioned it.”

The Tsinghua University principal’s heart hung in the balance as he asked nervously, ”Which school?”

Which school?

Nathalie Quinlan struggled to remember. She had been woken up by a phone call that morning while still groggy, annoyed by the disturbance, she hadn’t paid much attention to what the other party was saying.

After pondering for a long time, she half-lifted her eyelids, her gaze both cool and irritated, ”Southern University?”

Tsinghua University principal: ...

He had expected the release of the joint exam results to attract many schools trying to poach, but he hadn’t anticipated such rapid action from the competition.

Other schools, they could afford to ignore.

Southern University...

Somehow, Southern University was on par with Tsinghua University, and in recent years, there was even a faint momentum of surpassing Tsinghua.

If it weren’t for the presence of Shawn Norton and Mr. Avalon, two top experts at Tsinghua, they might have already been overtaken by Southern University in university rankings.

Even so, Southern University was biting at their heels in the global top 500 university rankings.

Only a few spots behind.

And especially, Southern University’s computer science and biotech programs had particularly high international rankings, recognized by many experts in these fields abroad.

In contrast, Tsinghua lagged far behind.

They only had a presentable finance and medical department to show for.
