Apocalypse: Goddess Catalog, Starting With Twin Sisters!

Chapter 9: Chapter 9: You eat here, I’ll go check on your sister...

KNOCK KNOCK!

The two knocks were immediately followed by sounds of movement from inside the room.

But the door didn’t open right away. They were being cautious!

’Looks like the two sisters took my words to heart.’

”Jiayi, it’s me!”

Hearing Mengde’s voice, the sisters inside finally breathed a sigh of relief and quickly welcomed him in.

”Are you okay?”

Seeing the woman he had already claimed looking at him with eyes full of worry, Mengde chuckled and pulled her directly into his arms.

”You don’t know what I’m capable of yet?”

”What could possibly happen to me?”

Having been ”nourished” for a night, Chen Jiayi had completed her transformation from a girl into a woman. Her face looked more radiant, and her skin was even better than before.

Her entire body exuded a captivating aura.

The moment Mengde came in, he started getting handsy with her.

Chen Jiayi quickly stopped him.

’No way, I can’t let this man keep going.’

’It’s only been a moment, and my face is already beet red.’

”Don’t... Yaoyao is still here... Wait until we’re back in our room...”

Behind them, Chen Jiayao stood pouting, watching her sister and her Brother Mengde being affectionate. She didn’t know what to feel.

After Mengde had gone out during the day, her sister told her all about his confession.

When she heard they were dating and that her sister hadn’t been taken advantage of, Chen Jiayao wasn’t as angry anymore.

But she knew in her heart that her sister must have agreed for her sake. Still, seeing the blissful smile that had graced her sister’s lips all day and how she’d occasionally stare at the door in a daze, she knew her sister wasn’t without feelings for Brother Mengde.

So, she was genuinely happy that her sister had found happiness.

Besides, Brother Mengde had promised to take care of her and her sister, so she had no complaints.

”Yaoyao, aren’t you going to call him brother-in-law?”

”Bro... Brother-in-law!”

Chen Jiayao’s face was flushed red, and she was a little nervous saying the words for the first time.

Mengde didn’t mind. He had to give his new little sister-in-law some time.

So, he emptied the supplies from his backpack.

Just this alone was enough to feed the three of them for several days.

The two sisters were overjoyed.

”That’s not all.”

Mengde waved his hand again, and another pile of supplies instantly appeared on the floor.

Rice, flour, grains, and oil...

All sorts of fresh vegetables...

Beef, pork, and lamb...

Packaged ham and cured meat...

And all kinds of snacks...

And more...

The floor was completely covered, and there was still more to come.

The sheer amount of supplies dazzled the two sisters. Now they finally wouldn’t have to worry about resources.

But more than that, the sisters were stunned by how Mengde had conjured the supplies out of thin air.

”Brother-in-law! Brother-in-law! How did you do that?”

”You’re so amazing!”

Chen Jiayao’s eyes were filled with adoration. She quickly gave him a thumbs-up, her cherry-like mouth agape in an ’O’ of astonishment!

She had almost been bitten to death by a zombie and knew just how terrifying those monsters were, yet her brother-in-law had managed to bring back so many supplies all by himself.

Mengde thoroughly enjoyed his little sister-in-law’s worship.

Chen Jiayi also wore a look of surprise, but just then, Mengde turned to look at her.

”I told you, I’ll be responsible for taking care of you two sisters from now on.”

”And I’ll make sure you can live well in the apocalypse!”

”Even better than before the apocalypse!!!”

Although she had heard these words once before, this time was completely different.

This man had truly taken his promises to heart.

This touched Chen Jiayi deeply, and she couldn’t help but offer him her red lips.

”Mengde, thank you!”

This kiss was passionate and sincere!

It had to be said, the Goddess’s lips were truly soft and delicious.

At first, Chen Jiayi took the lead, but it wasn’t long before Mengde completely took control.

If not for the resentful gaze of his little sister-in-law on the side, Mengde would have made this woman’s legs go weak...

[Ding! Congratulations, Host. Goddess Chen Jiayi’s Affinity has increased by 5. Current Affinity: 75!]

After the joyful moment, Mengde gave a rough explanation about having a Superpower and a Personal Space.

After all, one of them was already his woman; they had already been... intimately honest with each other. The other one... well... was an achievement waiting to be unlocked...

Fortunately, the sisters were quite accepting, and with their experiences over the past few days in the apocalypse, they understood after Mengde’s brief explanation.

However, the matter of the system was too fantastical, so Mengde didn’t mention it.

It wasn’t that he didn’t trust them. The main reason was that this was probably something only the handsome Yanzu-like readers in front of the screen could explain clearly. As for him... he was just a failed author who’d flopped his way to death writing novels...

’What the hell could he explain?!’

”Wow!”

”Doesn’t that make you a superhero, Brother-in-law?”

’So my little sister-in-law is a Marvel fan!’

Mengde smiled and nodded. The three of them chatted back and forth while eating snacks.

And there was no limit; they could eat whatever they wanted.

The relaxed and pleasant atmosphere made Chen Jiayi feel for a moment as if she had returned to the time before the apocalypse.

Her sister’s cheerful voice rang in her ears, while Mengde would occasionally show off his Space Superpower, leaving the sisters gasping in amazement.

Such a harmonious and beautiful scene made the older sister, Chen Jiayi, a bit emotional. ’Living like this forever would be wonderful!’

However, as Chen Jiayi listened, she suddenly felt that something was not quite right. A wave of heat washed over her entire body...

’Hm? Why is it suddenly getting so hot?’

She was only wearing a short slip dress today, which exposed her alluring shoulders and long, slender legs. Why would she still be so hot?

Soon, a familiar sensation rushed into her mind...

She looked down...

It was... it was that man... He’d made his move!

He was actually... under the table... while they were all talking...

She looked up and saw Mengde beside her, looking as calm as ever, but with the corner of his mouth curved into a smirk that said his plot had succeeded.

And her sister next to her hadn’t noticed a thing!

Ah!!!

’This man... he’s so bad!!!’

Chen Jiayi’s face immediately turned beet red.

”Sister, what’s wrong?”

Seeing her sister acting so strangely, Chen Jiayao hadn’t known what to say and had only managed to force out the question.

”I’m going to the bathroom!”

Watching her sister’s somewhat flustered retreat, Yaoyao looked completely baffled.

”What’s wrong with Sister? She’s acting so weird!”

But as the culprit, Mengde of course knew exactly what was going on.

”You stay here and eat. I’ll go check on your sister...”

That was the good thing about a girl like Yaoyao: she did whatever you told her to.

So obedient!

With a CLICK, the bathroom door was opened.

”You... Why are you here...”

Mengde gave a slight smile and closed the door behind him.

”I think you might need my help...”

”Try not to make a sound...”
